Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of group communication and information in the digital conversation space, using descriptive qualitative research methods through participatory data collection and interviews with 112 netizens who are members of WhatsApp Groups. Meanwhile, the analysis of the results uses the theory of Critic Analysis Discourse (CDA) Ruth Wodak (1980). Wodak said that every discourse needs to be examined by the reproductive process, the social and historical context, and the power relations and ideologies that make up the discourse. The Media of Dependency Theory theory was supported by Melvin L. Defleur and Sandra Ball-Rokeach (1989). The results show that the dominance of active members in the digital conversation space, which takes place quickly all the time, in WhatsApp Groups (WAGs) creates a buildup of informational messages. Passive group members ignore the information. This is evidence of inhibition and delay in communication goals. Research findings show that there are more passive members than active members. The dominance of active members in the discourse in the WAG has shown the picture of the WAG of unbalanced group communication between members. There is a certain individual discourse power in each WAG.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have encouraged the transformation from manual systems to digital-based systems, including in stock management. This research aims to develop a website-based stock management information system using the Reorder Point (ROP) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) methods for Panglong Siagian Bersaudara. ROP is used to determine reorder time, while EOQ calculates the optimal number of items that must be ordered to minimize total costs. The system was designed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, resulting in a fast and structured design. The implementation results show that the system is able to increase stock management efficiency by reducing the risk of shortages or excess items, optimizing storage costs, and supporting real-time data-based decision making. With the integration of ROP and EOQ, this system provides a comprehensive solution for stock management at Panglong Siagian Bersaudara.

Abstract

The Food Security and Horticulture Office of North Sumatra faces challenges in the management of Service Travel Letters (SPD), such as submitting letters, making letter notes, operational costs, which are still done manually using manual methods, so it is time consuming. This hampers the effectiveness of document management and data-based decision making. To overcome these problems, this research develops a web-based monitoring information system. This system is designed to manage official travel letters, to minimize the time and recording of letter reports. With the web-based Monitoring Information System, the management of official travel letters becomes more structured and can be accessed in real-time, thus increasing efficiency in carrying out official duties in various regions of North Sumatra. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with stages including needs analysis, system design, prototype development, testing, and evaluation. The results of the system implementation show that the use of this Monitoring Information System is able to speed up the process of submitting and approving official travel letters, as well as reducing errors in data collection and recording of trips.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, rapid development in technology that brings convenience and speed in completing human tasks. A barcode is a collection of optical data that is read by a machine. In fact, this barcode collects data in width (lines) and parallel line spacing and can be referred to as a linear or 1D (1-dimensional) barcode or symbology. Stock reports on purchases and sales of a period are useful for helping employees to assess the amount of inequality in purchasing flows, monitor stock/inventory of goods, and provide reports, both purchase reports, sales reports, and stock condition reports. ALL BRAND SMARTPHONE is a company engaged in the sale of electronic equipment. The process of checking stock at ALL BRAND SMARTPHONE has not implemented a barcode application, but is only done by checking stock manually by conducting manual checks between incoming and outgoing goods, then the final stock of goods will be calculated. Manual calculations or checks allow errors to occur in the creation or input of data. The purpose of designing this inventory information system is to be able to build a web-based inventory system that is expected to minimize errors or manipulation of inventory data using barcodes. And assist companies and employees in managing incoming goods data and outgoing goods data. The research method used involves data collection through observation, interviews, and literature studies, system development with a waterfall methodology approach.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a web-based financial management application for Pabrik Opak Sun Jaya Mandiri, focusing on financial management. Prior to the application’s development, the business used a manual financial management system, which led to various issues, such as unstructured transaction records, difficulties in monitoring cash flow in real-time, and slow financial reporting prone to human errors. These problems could hinder the business owner from making accurate financial and operational decisions.To address these issues, the application was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, designed to automate the recording of rental transactions, income, and expenses in an integrated manner. The application includes features for automatic and real-time financial reporting, enabling the business owner to monitor financial conditions more accurately and efficiently. Additionally, it implements a Business Intelligence (BI) approach, providing analysis of financial data, including income and expense trends, as well as business performance over time.The research results indicate that the application effectively resolves the issues present in the previous financial management system, particularly in terms of efficiency, recording accuracy, and faster, more detailed data presentation. The business owner can better monitor financial developments, and employees find it easier to perform tasks such as report preparation and transaction recording. Continuous evaluation and feature updates are highly recommended to ensure the application evolves in line with the increasingly complex needs of the business. Therefore, this application is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the financial management of Pabrik Opak Sun Jaya Mandiri.

Abstract

Abstract: In Kwala Begumit village, there are health centers, health clinics, and pharmacies, and the average health institution already has a computer-based information system. But there is one thing that is lacking, namely the unavailability of a mobile-based information system that integrates all health institutions in Kwala Begumit village, so it is not easy for the people of Kwala Begumit village to get integrated information from the room or doctor's practice schedule in Kwala Begumit village. Information on patient data, patient visits, Medical Records, drug data, drug procurement, drug enforcement, doctor data, and queues, can be done easily and in a relatively short time with this application, puskesmas Kwala Begumit can improve the quality of health services to the community. The application also overcomes the problem of adding data identical to the accumulation of papers and adding space for files. Abstract: Tandem Hulu I Village is one of the villages located in the Hamparan Perak District area, North Sumatra, which was initially just an oil palm plantation area in which man workers from the oil palm plantation land were made into residence and finell the workers inhabit the area. From the past until now. Abstract

This research designs and implements a web-based PPDB Information System at SD Kristen 2 Purwokerto to overcome data inaccuracies, the risk of losing documents, and administrative inefficiencies due to manual systems. The system was developed using UML modeling, including use case, activity, and class diagrams, and enables more efficient and transparent online registration. The results of testing with Black Box Testing (Equivalence Partitioning) show that the system functions according to specifications. Testing the main features of login, registration, student enrollment, payment verification, and admin and principal data management produced appropriate outputs, improved efficiency and data accuracy, and strengthened system security. The system is proven to improve the quality of education services, with suggestions for the development of automatic notification features, user support, and improved data security to maintain the integrity of student information.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a management information system that facilitates inventory management at AMIK PGRI Kebumen. The issue faced is that the inventory management system is still manual, leading to inefficiencies and potential data errors. This study employs a software development method using the Waterfall model, which includes requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The result of this research is a web-based inventory management information system that can effectively and efficiently manage inventory data, supporting processes for adding, editing, deleting, and searching inventory data to monitor the condition and status of the inventory. In conclusion, the implementation of this information system successfully improved the efficiency of inventory management at AMIK PGRI Kebumen, reduced data errors, and simplified information access for users. Recommendations for future research include adding stricter data security features and integrating with other existing systems at AMIK PGRI Kebumen.Abstract must contain

Abstract

This article explores the philosophical and pedagogical foundations of media literacy in the modern information society. It analyzes key methods for fostering critical thinking and the role of philosophy in shaping value orientations. The study highlights how media literacy influences public consciousness, enabling individuals to critically assess information and resist manipulation. Special attention is given to educational strategies, including interactive teaching methods, project-based learning, and digital literacy training. The philosophical dimensions of media literacy, such as phenomenology, hermeneutics, and ethical considerations, are examined to provide a deeper understanding of information perception. Challenges such as misinformation, algorithmic filtering, and digital inequality are discussed, emphasizing the need for comprehensive educational initiatives. The findings suggest that integrating media literacy into education fosters responsible information consumption and enhances societal resilience against digital-age challenges. Strengthening philosophical and pedagogical approaches is essential for developing media literacy as a crucial skill in contemporary society.
