Abstract

This study aims to develop a data security system for the Pancadaya Waste Bank web-based application by implementing a hybrid cryptography algorithm combining AES and RSA. The main problem identified is the vulnerability of manually recorded and unsecured transaction data. The research applied a qualitative approach through interviews with system users and the Environmental Agency, as well as literature reviews on hybrid cryptography algorithms. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and implemented using PHP, MySQL, and the OpenSSL library. The results show that the system successfully encrypts transaction data using AES and secures the AES key with RSA, thereby enhancing data security. Testing with GTmetrix indicates excellent application performance. Furthermore, the system can display and decrypt real-time transaction data in receipt form for both deposit and withdrawal processes. This application provides an innovative solution to data management and transaction security issues in digital-based waste bank systems.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms through the lens of the TPACK framework. Data collection methods included analysis of lesson plans, classroom observations, and interviews with both teachers and students from two senior high schools. The findings indicate that although teachers were aware of curriculum objectives and expressed intentions to integrate ICT, its actual use was limited and inconsistent. Most applications were confined to simple PowerPoint presentations, lacking multimedia elements and interactivity. Instruction largely remained teacher-centered, with minimal student participation and limited use of collaborative or digital learning resources. Viewed through the TPACK perspective, teachers demonstrated strong content knowledge (CK) and some pedagogical knowledge (PK), but their technological knowledge (TK) was insufficient. Their integration of technology with content (TCK) and pedagogy (TPK) was shallow, and comprehensive TPACK implementation was absent. This aligns with existing literature, which often notes the difficulty educators face in effectively merging all three knowledge domains. Contributing obstacles included inadequate infrastructure, unstable internet connections, low digital confidence among teachers, and classroom management challenges when students used personal devices issues that are commonly cited in ICT integration research. Despite these challenges, both educators and learners acknowledged the potential of ICT to enhance learning by making lessons more engaging and understandable through visual and audio aids. In summary, technology use must go beyond presence it needs to be thoughtfully embedded into teaching strategies and subject content. This reinforces the core principle of TPACK: that impactful, technology-supported instruction requires a balanced integration of technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric review of scholarly literature on agile methodologies within the context of information systems (IS) development, covering publications from 2000 to 2025. Using the Scopus database as the primary source, a total of relevant articles, conference papers, and reviews were analyzed through performance analysis and science mapping techniques with VOSviewer. The findings reveal that information systems development, information management, and software engineering are the most central and frequently occurring themes, acting as conceptual anchors for the field. Co-occurrence analysis identifies three thematic clusters: (1) technological and infrastructure dimensions, focusing on computational tools, artificial intelligence, and decision support systems; (2) organizational and managerial aspects, encompassing knowledge management, risk management, and user participation; and (3) software engineering and design methodologies, including agile frameworks and cross-domain applications. Overlay visualization indicates a thematic shift from early technical foundations toward broader socio-technical and strategic considerations, while density mapping highlights emerging areas such as agile manufacturing systems and outsourcing. Co-authorship and country collaboration networks show strong global research connectivity, with the United States, United Kingdom, and China leading in output and collaboration influence. The study contributes to both theory and practice by providing a structured knowledge map that integrates technical, organizational, and strategic perspectives of agile IS development, offering guidance for future research and practical implementation. Limitations include reliance on a single database, keyword-based search constraints, and the quantitative nature of bibliometric methods.

Abstract

The Segara Anakan Lagoon (LSA) is a coastal region characterized by unique ecological features and a high level of biodiversity in its fishery resources. Functioning as the estuarine outlet of the Citanduy River Basin, the lagoon receives substantial freshwater inflow laden with high sediment loads. This natural dynamic, compounded by anthropogenic activities from surrounding communities, has led to ecological degradation manifested in declining water quality, reduction of the lagoon’s water body, and increased nutrient accumulation, which in turn triggers eutrophication. Consequently, the fishery resource potential has diminished, adversely affecting the welfare of local fishing communities, as evidenced by a growing trend of occupational shifts from fishing to farming. This community engagement study, grounded in scientific research, aims to mitigate the rate of ecological degradation while promoting behavioral transformation toward a conservation-oriented mindset as a strategic measure to enhance the livelihoods of fishers. The methodology encompasses the development of thematic maps based on in situ ecological analyses, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to identify the strategic conditions of the LSA area, and the application of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish solution prioritization. All quantitative data obtained were disseminated to the local community through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Community perception and participation were evaluated using structured questionnaires, with subsequent statistical analysis performed to test the validity and reliability of the instruments. Through this participatory approach, it is anticipated that information on high-potential fishery zones and viable ecological management solutions can be effectively communicated, thereby enhancing the adaptive capacity of coastal communities for sustainable resource governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the workload of information service officers at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) based on the Manual of Standards (MOS). The research is motivated by the observation that only one officer per shift handles all information-related tasks, which contradicts MOS guidelines requiring a minimum of two officers for airports with fewer than 60 daily flights. The method used is a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, including NASA-TLX (Task Load Index) to measure mental workload, along with observations, interviews, and document analysis. Results indicate that the average NASA-TLX score exceeds 80, categorizing the workload as high. The study reveals that excessive multitasking leads to a decline in service quality, increased risk of human error, and potential stress-related issues among personnel. Errors in information dissemination were observed, including incorrect boarding announcements caused by overburdened staff. As a solution, the implementation of a Silent Airport system and better digital information infrastructure is proposed to reduce workload and improve service quality. The study emphasizes the urgency of aligning staffing levels with MOS standards to ensure passenger safety, service efficiency, and institutional compliance.
