Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of sales growth, information asymmetry, financial distress and CEO retirement on the implementation of prudence accounting in transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021-2023. The type of research is quantitative research with secondary data. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a final number of 45 data on transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 3 years. The results of this study indicate that sales growth, information asymmetry, financial distress and CEO retirement partially have a negative and significant effect on prudence accounting. Simultaneous testing found that sales growth, information asymmetry, financial distress and CEO retirement have a significant effect on prudence accounting.

Abstract

The Regional Development Information System (SIPD) is designed by the government to make it easier for stakeholders to input and manage regional finances. However, not all local governments are able to develop along with increasingly massive technological developments. The Bojonegoro government, with quite a lot of sources of income dominated by the oil and gas sector, is quite adaptive in implementing the Regional Development Information System (SIPD). Thus, this research seeks to investigate optimizing the fund disbursement order monitoring system in the treasury based on the regional development information system in Bojonegoro. This research employed qualitative methods, where researchers used data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this research is the Local Government Finance and Asset Office (BPKAD) of Bojonegoro Regency, especially in the treasury sector and the subject of this research is the Regional Development Information System (SIPD). The research findings indicate that SIPD has a crucial role in realizing transparent and reliable financial management, making it easier to supervise. However, achieving transparency and monitoring efficiency can only be supported by an implementation process that has been carried out in an integrated manner. Regional government synergy has a crucial role to play in encouraging the process of unifying all regional development information systems and regional information systems in order to accelerate the implementation of SIPD.

Abstract

To provide higher quality services to patients, many hospitals adopt information systems. The existence of a precise and accurate information system can reduce the occurrence of unwanted errors so that it can increase more efficient performance and operational speed of the agency. The problem of long waiting times for services is something faced by many hospitals, including the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital. By utilizing information technology through an Android application regarding the method and flow of online registration, it can provide benefits to patients, especially in reducing the accumulation of patients in the registration waiting room. The aim of implementing this Community Service activity is to increase public knowledge about the use of information technology through Android applications regarding the method and flow of online registration for outpatient visits at the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital. This activity was carried out at the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital using a lecture method by the implementation team, attended by patients visiting outpatients at the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital. The material presented is evaluated by conducting a question and answer session at the end of the activity, where all questions/quizzes submitted by the implementing team can be answered by the participants. From this activity, the results showed that there was an increase in the highest correct answer of the participants who downloaded the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital online application, 30 participants (100%), 28 participants (93%) already knew about the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital online application, 28 participants were able to use the Garam Kalianget Islamic Hospital online application ( 93%) and participants know what data is included in filling out participants to register online as many as 28 participants (93%).

Abstract

This study examines the inefficiencies encountered by a training institution in Bandung Regency that utilizes a manual handwritten ledger for managing diverse data, including student information, teacher records, class details, student learning progress, and grades.  The current technique results in considerable delays in information retrieval, as perusing physical data is often time-intensive.  Moreover, producing reports for institutional control becomes burdensome, eliciting apprehensions of data accuracy, potential harm, or loss of vital information.  To address these challenges, we created a course information system utilizing the CodeIgniter framework.  The study utilized a descriptive methodology, and the system development applied Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts.  We employed Unified Modelling Language (UML) methodologies during the software design process.  The newly created course information system aims to streamline user data management and enhance the efficiency of recording operations for all participants, including administrators and educators.  The digitization of information management decreases retrieval times and enhances data accuracy and security, consequently promoting improved decision-making and reporting within the institution.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept in previous research regarding human capital through Impact of Communication and Information (ICT). We use Content Analysis to compile scholarly articles from emerald and Korean science as well as books written by experts in ICT and Financial Information. The government system has an impact on government regulations and policies, related to the financial system, the government system affects operational processes and the development of financial technology. Not only that, but the government system also determines the education system which has an impact on the development of the quality of human resources. Technology and information play a very critical role both in economic growth, financing, and human needs, so that they become very important in human life, including in finance and human resource development. The ability of information and communication technology (ICT) today and in the future is very much needed by the community to be productive in today's world of work. The application of technology to e-finance and the emergence of e-finance can be applied to the banking and financial services business. Information and technology communication engages the active online social of rural and urban families, which encourages them to participate in digital finance. Abstract

Our aim is to investigate the concepts in previous research on human capital through Information Communication Technology (ICT). We use a collection of scientific articles from emeralds as well as books written by experts in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and human resources. Three important components of human resources in Industry 4.0 are workforce architecture with new interactions, embracing future human resources, and topologies that generate competencies anticipated by human resources. This Information Communication Technology study will analyze the notion of information technology. AI is one of the most widely used information and communication technologies (ICT) in Industry 4.0. The artificial intelligence (AI) generated by ICT is essential in implementing current and future ICT projects. ICT professionals should also consider their work environment as a pleasant work environment that substantially affects performance and results. The advantages of information communication technology or ICT in communicating and interacting effectively. ICT is very important to fulfill all human needs. Communication science and the quality of human resources are closely related.

Abstract

Apple has a large customer base in Malaysia because they offer products of superior design and features. The main objective of this study is to determine the contributing factors to Apple’s sustainability in Malaysia’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Industry. This study is conducted based on quantitative research with 100 targeted respondents from Malaysia. The findings indicate that the marketing strategies, brand awareness, and customer experience are the major factors of the successful pathway of Apple’s sustainability. The research concludes that Apple Industry should adapt a frequent reengineering approach where the existing and upcoming Apple products will satisfy customer needs.

Abstract

Waste management is increasingly critical due to the rising waste generated by community activities driven by a consumptive lifestyle. A key solution to this issue is the implementation of waste bank programs, though community participation and operational efficiency remain challenges, as seen with the Bangkitku Waste Bank in Jambi City. This study focuses on designing the user interface for the Bangkitku Waste Bank Information System using the design thinking method and evaluating the usability of the prototype. The design process followed the five stages of design thinking: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, with data collected through interviews and observations. The analysis involved tools such as empathy maps, user personas, sitemaps, and user flows, with prototypes created using Figma. Usability testing was conducted with 10 participants, including administrators and customers, resulting in high usability scores—98 for administrators and 97 for customers. The majority of participants found the system easy to use, as indicated by responses on the Single Ease Question (SEQ) survey. The prototype met key usability criteria, improving both operational efficiency and community engagement in waste bank management. The findings demonstrate the system's potential to foster sustainable environmental practices and enhance the effectiveness of waste bank management.

Abstract

This study investigates the knowledge, adoption, and application of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in selected broadcast stations within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Employing a survey research design, data were collected through questionnaires administered to a cross-section of respondents. The findings indicate that ICTs have been integrated to a very high extent in the operational activities of broadcast stations. Respondents reported that the application of ICTs in Channels TV, NTA, and FRCN is particularly effective in news gathering, followed closely by satisfactory application in news processing. The study concludes that there is a high level of ICT knowledge, adoption, and application in Nigerian broadcast media, reflecting the sector’s responsiveness to technological change. It recommends continuous training of broadcast personnel in the use of modern hardware and software tools to enhance service delivery, alongside policy interventions by the National Broadcasting Commission to implement 21st-century ICT standards as advocated by the International Telecommunication Union, thereby facilitating Nigeria’s transition from analogue to digital broadcasting.

Abstract

This study examines the adoption of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in modern journalism practice among practitioners in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja and Nasarawa State, against the backdrop of journalism’s global transformation from manual to machine-assisted processes. Anchored in Technological Determinism Theory, the research employed a descriptive survey design, with data collected through questionnaires administered to practitioners. The findings reveal that respondents possess only moderate familiarity with ICTs for journalism, with their understanding rated as “good,” reflecting an average level of knowledge. Furthermore, the adoption and utilization of ICTs in journalism practice within the study areas remain below average, limiting efficiency in news sourcing, processing, and dissemination. The study concludes that inadequate knowledge and low adoption hinder the full benefits of ICT in journalism. It recommends sustained orientation programs and digital innovation campaigns to improve journalists’ awareness and competencies, as well as stronger government support to accelerate the transition from analogue to digital journalism. Enhanced adoption of ICTs will ultimately reduce production costs and time while improving the quality and speed of news delivery.
