Abstract

This study aims to examine the role and implementation of Information Technology (IT)-based media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Specifically, it investigates the integration of IT tools—ranging from interactive multimedia to Artificial Intelligence (AI)—within the educational framework of PAI. The research employs a qualitative literature review approach to explore how these technological innovations can impact the learning process, particularly in terms of visualizing abstract Islamic concepts and increasing the flexibility of learning experiences. However, the study also highlights key challenges, including the need for teacher competence in using these technologies effectively, the ethical implications of digital content, and the risk of social isolation resulting from an over-reliance on digital tools. The findings reveal that while technology can significantly enhance the educational experience by making abstract concepts more accessible and engaging, it should not replace the human element essential to the teacher-student relationship in Islamic education (tarbiyah). The study suggests that IT should be used as a complementary tool (wasa'il) to facilitate learning, but the spiritual and ethical guidance provided by teachers remains irreplaceable in nurturing Islamic values and character in students. The research recommends that future studies focus on developing comprehensive teacher training programs that address both the technical and ethical aspects of using IT in Islamic education. Additionally, exploring hybrid models that blend digital and traditional pedagogical approaches could offer a more balanced and effective educational experience for students in the digital age.

Abstract

Livestock management requires the recording of integrated data regarding livestock identity, health, feed, growth, reproduction, and productivity. In practice, recording can still be done manually or using separate media, making it difficult to monitor and prepare reports. This research aims to develop a web-based livestock management information system to integrate monitoring of livestock health, feed, and productivity. The research uses the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) approach which includes problem identification, solution objectives, design and development, demonstration, evaluation, and communication. The system was developed with an integrated database that includes livestock, health, feed, productivity, and report data modules. The system test is carried out using black-box testing, while user evaluation is carried out to measure aspects of functionality, ease of use, information quality, and system benefits. The resulting system is expected to be able to improve the regularity of recording, accelerate access to livestock information, and provide an information basis for managers' decision-making. Further development can be directed at the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT), cage environmental sensors, and predictive analytics to support the implementation of precision livestock farming.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the impact of Information Technology Utilization (ITU), Organizational Culture (OC), and Servant Leadership (SL) on Employee Engagement (EE) among staff members employed in four- and five-star hotels situated in Batam. Methodology: A quantitative survey approach was adopted, with 206 hotel employees recruited using purposive sampling. Questionnaires were used as the data collection instrument, and the gathered data were analyzed through SEM-PLS with SmartPLS. Results: ITU was found to exert a significant positive influence on both SL (β = 0.342; p < 0.001) and EE (β = 0.791; p < 0.001). OC significantly affected SL (β = 0.616; p < 0.001), although its influence on EE was not significant (β = 0.117; p = 0.192). No significant effect of SL on EE (β = 0.014; p = 0.884). Furthermore, the mediating role of SL in the respective associations between ITU and EE, as well as between OC and EE, was not found to be statistically significant. Conclusions: ITU was directly related to elevated EE, whereas OC was more strongly associated with SL. The mediation relationships proposed were not supported. Limitations: Because the investigation was restricted to personnel of four- and five-star hotels in Batam, the extent to which its findings can be generalized to other hospitality settings is limited. Contributions: This study contributes to hospitality scholarship by examining ITU, OC, and SL through the lens of EE and providing empirical insights derived from hotels in Batam.

Abstract

Technology-Supported Academic Information Systems have become an essential component of digital transformation in higher education by facilitating technology-enhanced learning environments and improving academic services. This study investigates the association of Technology-Supported Academic Information Systems on Student Learning Satisfaction and Student Academic Quality at the Mojosari Institute of Technology, Nganjuk. A quantitative correlational survey design was employed involving 222 students selected from a population of 500 active students using probability sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire administered via Google Forms and analyzed using IBM SPSS through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, simple linear regression, t-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings reveal that Technology-Supported Academic Information Systems have a positive and significant effect on Student Learning Satisfaction (β = 1.089, p < 0.001; R² = 0.590) and Student Academic Quality (β = 0.481, p < 0.001; R² = 0.387). These results indicate that well-designed digital academic systems contribute substantially to students' learning experiences while supporting academic development within higher education. The study extends existing literature by repositioning Academic Information Systems as technology-supported learning infrastructure rather than merely administrative platforms, highlighting their strategic role in strengthening institutional digital transformation and improving educational quality.

Abstract

Teacher performance evaluation is an important factor in improving the quality of education in schools. However, the manual assessment process often leads to subjectivity and ineffective decision-making. This study aims to analyze teacher performance evaluation using the Analytic Hierarchy Process method in the school academic information system so that the assessment process can be carried out more objectively, quickly, and structured. The AHP method is used to determine assessment priorities based on several criteria such as discipline, competence, responsibility, attendance, and quality of learning. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and literature studies, then processed into the academic information system to produce more accurate decisions. The results show that the application of the AHP method can help schools in conducting teacher performance evaluations more effectively and transparently and simplify the process of processing assessment data to support decision-making.

Abstract

The development of information technology has significantly influenced information management and dissemination, including in road infrastructure. However, road condition data collection in Muara Bulian is still conducted manually, resulting in ineffective data management and limited public access to accurate information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Geographic Information System (Web-GIS) for road conditions in Muara Bulian. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review for data collection. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was developed using Python and the Flask framework, with SQLite as the database and Leaflet.js and QGIS to support interactive map visualization. The results show that the system can display road condition information through interactive digital maps, provide road location search and detailed information, support basemap switching, facilitate road data management, and generate reports. Black Box Testing confirmed that all system functions operated according to the specified requirements. The Web-GIS is expected to support the government in managing road infrastructure data and facilitate public access to road condition information effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The implementation of the “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka” (MBKM) program requires an integrated and adaptive information system to manage academic activities efficiently. This study aims to develop a web-based MBKM Management Information System at Universitas Prima Indonesia using the Scrum framework. The system supports structured registration, reporting, assessment, and verification processes involving students, academic advisors, department heads, and MBKM administrators. Technologies used include React.js and Next.js for the frontend, Express.js for the backend, and MySQL for the database. A key contribution of this research is the application of the agile Scrum methodology to accommodate the dynamic nature of MBKM policies, ensuring iterative development and user-centered design. Internal testing using Black Box methods indicates high functionality and usability. The resulting system enhances efficiency, data integration, and stakeholder collaboration. This study demonstrates how agile practices can be effectively applied to develop scalable academic systems that support national education reforms.
