Abstract

In the context of educational institutions, the implementation of these management functions serves as the primary foundation for managing various aspects of education, including student management. Student management is an integral part of educational management, specifically focusing on managing students as the primary subjects in the educational process. This study aims to analyze student management based on the planning–actuating–controlling cycle in improving students’ academic and non-academic achievements at MAN 1 Pesisir Barat. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach involving the principal, vice principal of student affairs, teachers, homeroom teachers, and extracurricular supervisors. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that planning has been systematically arranged through formal documents but is not fully based on students’ achievement data. Program implementation has been carried out fairly well through academic and non-academic activities, although challenges remain such as limited facilities and uneven student participation. Evaluation has been conducted regularly but has not been optimally used as a basis for decision-making. Therefore, student management has been implemented adequately but is not yet fully integrated into a data-driven management cycle.

Abstract

This research is driven by the urgent need to strengthen safety culture within educational institutions as a response to the complex challenges of the post-pandemic era. The study aims to examine the influence of principal safety leadership and school occupational health and safety (OHS) facilities on students’ safety culture. A quantitative explanatory design was employed, involving 100 students selected through simple random sampling from a population of 455 students at a junior secondary school in Sungai Penuh City, Indonesia. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires, systematic observation, and documentation, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that principal safety leadership has a positive and significant effect on students’ safety culture (β = 0.311, p = 0.006). School OHS facilities also demonstrate a positive and significant influence (β = 0.389, p = 0.002), indicating a stronger contribution than leadership variables. Simultaneously, both predictors significantly affect students’ safety culture (F = 102.48, p < 0.001), with an explanatory power of 68.1% (R2 = 0.681). These results suggest that adaptive leadership practices combined with adequate safety facilities are critical determinants in fostering a sustainable and resilient school safety culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of academic supervision and its impact on the quality of learning at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research participants included the principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, and teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that academic supervision at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru is implemented systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and follow-up. The planning stage involves structured scheduling, the formation of a supervision team, and the use of supervision instruments. The implementation stage is carried out through classroom observations using an objective and collaborative approach. Follow-up activities include reflective discussions, coaching, and professional development training for teachers. Academic supervision has a positive impact on learning quality, as reflected in improvements in lesson planning and instructional practices, enhanced teachers’ pedagogical competence, and the development of a culture of quality learning within the school. Thus, academic supervision plays a strategic role in supporting sustainable improvement in learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership strategy of the head of administration in supporting administrative services at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The research focuses on leadership strategies, the administrative service process, obstacles encountered, and efforts to improve service quality. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of the head of administration, administrative staff, principals, teachers, and students. The results indicate that leadership strategies are implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, supported by a clear division of tasks, the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the use of information technology. Administrative services are running quite well, although there are still challenges such as limited human resources, infrastructure, and technical barriers. Efforts undertaken include optimizing the division of tasks, improving coordination, and developing staff competencies. Thus, leadership strategies play a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of administrative services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the principal at MTs An Najah Pekanbaru in developing the school’s organizational culture. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, including the school’s vision, mission, motto, and work programs. Data were analyzed thematically to identify leadership characteristics, strategies implemented, and the resulting organizational culture. The findings indicate that the principal exhibits strong transformational leadership, characterized by moral exemplarity, the ability to build and communicate a clear vision, inspirational communication, and the empowerment of teachers and educational staff. Strategies applied include internalizing the vision and mission, continuous coaching, participatory deliberation, role modeling, and effective communication, which collectively foster a harmonious work climate. This leadership style has cultivated an organizational culture that is religious, inclusive, participatory, disciplined, professional, and adaptive, enhancing a sense of ownership, loyalty, and commitment among school members. The study confirms that transformational leadership is a key factor in developing a robust organizational culture that supports harmonious performance at MTs An Najah Pekanbaru. These findings provide valuable implications for leadership development and the strengthening of organizational culture in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze public relations management at Pondok Pesantren Al Badr Bangkinang in strengthening institutional branding and image, supporting student recruitment, and developing pesantren programs. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results show that the public relations team at Pondok Pesantren Al Badr Bangkinang plays an active role in building a positive institutional image through the use of social media, socio-religious activities, and personal communication with the community. These strategies not only increase public trust but also effectively contribute to the growing number of student applicants each year. Supporting factors in public relations implementation include leadership support, collaborative team spirit, and alumni involvement. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include limited professional human resources, the absence of a formal standard operating procedure (SOP) for public relations, and budget constraints. This study recommends that the pesantren strengthen its public relations organizational structure, enhance human resource capacity through training, and utilize digital media optimally to meet the challenges of public communication in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of religious programs in shaping students’ religious character at MTs An Najah Pekanbaru. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, vice principals, Islamic Education teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the management of religious programs at MTs An Najah Pekanbaru is implemented through integrated stages of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The religious programs are designed based on the madrasah’s vision and mission, organized through clear role distribution, implemented continuously through habituation and teachers’ role modeling, and monitored through regular supervision and evaluation. Supporting factors include the commitment of madrasah leadership, active teacher involvement, and a religious school culture, while inhibiting factors include limited human resources, diverse religious backgrounds of students, and limited implementation time. These findings indicate that well-planned and sustainable religious program management plays a role in shaping students’ religious character.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze and design the shipping flow using the Shipping Operation Diagram (SOD) method at PT Velasto Indonesia for shipments to PT Namicoh Indonesia. The main problems include delivery delays, inconsistent processing times, and a lack of workflow visualization, which impacts coordination between departments.The methods used were observation, interviews, documentation, and 5W+1H analysis. The results indicate that delays are caused by inconsistencies in product availability, not good (NG) status, and differences in stock data. The preparation phase is the most critical activity due to its time consumption and instability.The implementation of SOD clarifies the workflow and establishes time standards for each activity. As a result, time efficiency increased by 14.29% (from 105 minutes to 90 minutes), and the shipping process became more structured and consistent.

Abstract

This study aims to describe human resource management at the El-Hayaah Library of MAN 1 Pekanbaru, focusing on four main aspects: planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance evaluation of librarians. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that librarian planning is carried out contextually by considering institutional needs and internal competencies. The recruitment and selection process is directed toward meeting qualifications and librarian involvement in literacy programs, although it has not yet adopted an open system. Training and development are conducted gradually through internal activities and external training, particularly in improving information technology competencies. Performance evaluation is still conducted informally but considers discipline, work responsibility, and contributions to literacy programs. The study concludes that HR management at the library has been implemented adaptively and effectively, although it still requires a more structured, professional system based on national standards

Abstract

Objective: Teenagers in Blumbungan village show a tendency towards deviant behavior such as illegal racing, promiscuity, and the adoption of a hedonistic lifestyle influenced by Western culture. Through cultural da'wah with intensive involvement of village kyai which is participatory and contextual, village kyai play an active role in building religious awareness of teenagers. This article aims to analyze the contribution of village kyai in strengthening the religiosity of teenagers in Blumbungan Village, Pamekasan, Madura. Method: This study uses an interpretive qualitative method with a case study approach. The determination of informants was carried out using a snowball sampling technique, where the researcher follows recommendations from one informant to another who are considered relevant and understand the research context. There are five informants in this study with details, three kyai and two from local teenagers. The theory of cultural da'wah as an analytical tool in this study which relies on the delivery of Islamic values ​​by paying attention to the social context, customs, and local culture that live in the community. Results: The study shows that the contribution of village kyai is not limited to religious functions, but also serves as a social companion who guides adolescents through direct involvement in religious activities, such as tajhizul mayit (remembrance of the deceased), regular religious studies, and other collective religious activities.
