Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in improving the argumentative writing skills of Phase F A2 students at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. The study was motivated by students’ low ability to formulate thesis statements, construct logical arguments, and apply appropriate linguistic features. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a mixed-method approach conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 35 students, and data were collected through observation, writing tests, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that classical learning mastery in Cycle I reached 45.7% and increased to 97,1% in Cycle II after instructional improvements were implemented through intensive guidance and the use of student worksheets (LKPD). In addition, students’ participation and self-confidence in the learning process also improved. These findings indicate that the Jigsaw model is effective in enhancing argumentative writing skills while promoting collaborative and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to analyze the influence of school principal leadership and learning climate on the competitiveness of non-formal education (NFE) institutions offering equivalency programs in Mataram City. The study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental design. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, with respondents consisting of 56 teachers and educational staff as well as 56 students from 8 NFE units (1 SKB and 7 PKBM) in Mataram City. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results showed that, simultaneously, school principal leadership and learning climate significantly influenced the competitiveness of NFE institutions with a calculated F-value of 20.744 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.01), contributing 43.9%. Partially, school principal leadership has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness (β = 0.668; p = 0.000), while the learning climate does not have a significant effect (β = -0.028; p = 0.793). The findings of this study reveal that in the context of non-formal education units in Mataram City, school principal leadership is the primary driver of competitiveness, while a learning climate that is already good and relatively homogeneous does not directly serve as a significant differentiator.

Abstract

This study investigates the Language Art Exhibition as an invisible curriculum in Arabic language acquisition at PMDG Putri Campus 1. Using a qualitative case study approach, the study explores how artistic performances such as drama, poetry recitation (qirā'ah al-syi'r), singing (ghinā'), and news reading (qirā'ah al-akhbār) function as implicit pedagogical mechanisms supporting communicative competence. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis involving santriyah, Language Advisory Council (LAC) administrators, Arabic supervisors, and pesantren leaders. The findings reveal that the Language Art Exhibition creates a performative language environment encouraging spontaneous Arabic usage, emotional engagement, vocabulary retention, pronunciation accuracy, and speaking confidence. The study further demonstrates that repetitive artistic performances, institutional language culture, peer interaction, and bilingual discipline collectively construct a sustainable language ecosystem facilitating Arabic acquisition through habituation and immersion. The novelty lies in conceptualizing performative invisible curriculum as a framework explaining how artistic activities function pedagogically in pesantren.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is very important for students to have. But in fact, based on the observations made, there are still many students who have low mathematical communication skills. This is known based on interviews with several teachers who teach in high schools. For this reason, researchers carried out a treatment by applying a learning strategy that aims to be able to improve students' mathematical communication abilities. Abstract

Total Quality Management is an approach to an organization that focuses on quality and is based on the participation of all human resources and is aimed at long-term results and success through customer satisfaction and providing benefits to members of the organization. The main customers in this study are students and parents. The National Standards contained in PP No. 57 of 2020 have set national quality standards for education. Quality improvement in schools is the responsibility of all school members. In addition, the teacher is an important key in improving classroom learning which will later have an impact on improving the quality of education. All resources and efforts have been made in the process of improving the quality of schools, one of which is the application of sustainable national education standards. Furthermore, there is continuous TQM. In the development of models in achieving the quality of education is very necessary in the realization of education itself. Given the importance of the implications of quality assurance in the learning process, the RANISH quality development model was designed in the process of improving the quality of education. This research uses qualitative research methods with the DBR (Design Based Research) method approach. The DBR method is felt to be very suitable because the DBR method aims to provide solutions to any problems that arise and is relevant in order to develop a quality development model in educational units because it is able to bridge theory and practice. The recommendations for the RANISH quality development model are felt to be appropriate because they are based on precise and measurable quality control. Starting with the process of quality planning, quality control and quality improvement.
