Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of accounting best practices as a pillar of good governance in the financial management of educational foundations in Semarang. The focus of the study includes the application of accounting practices in the financial management of educational institutions, the implementation of the principles of transparency, accountability, and efficiency, supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of accounting best practices, and their impact on the quality of financial governance of educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research participants were the heads of the foundations. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of accounting best practices is carried out through the preparation of planning-based budgets, routine recording of financial transactions, preparation of periodic financial reports, and strengthening a more structured financial administration system. The principles of good governance are realized through transparency of financial reports, accountability for the use of funds, and efficient management of school budgets. The main supporting factors include the commitment of foundation leaders, a culture of organizational cooperation, and awareness of public accountability, while inhibiting factors include limited human resources, low digital skills, and an administration system that is not yet fully integrated.

Abstract

Curriculum management is an essential part of improving the quality of education and student competency. The purpose of this study is to describe the various approaches used by SMPN 1 Kedungwaringin to manage the curriculum with the aim of improving learning services and enhancing student competencies. A descriptive qualitative method was used in this study, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that there are four main stages: planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring and evaluation used to manage the curriculum at SMPN 1 Kedungwaringin. In the planning stage, teachers frequently participate in training and MGMP, teachers also create daily agendas and teaching modules. In the organizing stage, tasks are divided according to teacher abilities and take into account students' religious diversity. The curriculum is implemented through active, creative, and project-based learning with enrichment and improvement programs. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out through the principal's supervision, digital attendance, and learning evaluation. This study found that a systematic curriculum management strategy can optimally improve learning services and student competencies.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of stakeholder involvement in improving the quality of education through collaborative and participatory school management. The study aimed to describe the strategic role of stakeholders in improving educational quality at SD No. 1 Kutuh. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, educational staff, parents, school committees, communities, and students, played strategic roles in supporting educational quality improvement. The principal acted as a participatory leader, teachers contributed to learning and character building, educational staff supported school administration, while parents, committees, and communities became strategic partners in supporting school programs. The collaboration among stakeholders created an effective, participatory, and sustainable educational environment. Therefore, stakeholder synergy plays an important role in improving the quality of education at school.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive Digital Story Book learning media to significantly enhance Arabic reading skills (maharah qirā’ah) among seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Jombang. Reading skills play a crucial role but are often hindered by low interest and monotonous media. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method utilizing the comprehensive 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data were systematically collected through initial observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests to measure skill improvements. The results of the material expert validation obtained an outstanding feasibility score of 90.59%, while the media expert validation reached 96.00%, both categorized as highly feasible for implementation. Field trials indicated an overwhelmingly positive student response with a score of 97.53%, proving that the media is highly engaging, user-friendly, and effective. The paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between pre-test (average 37.23) and post-test (average 89.97) results with a p-value < 0.05, confirming that the interactive Digital Story Book effectively improves Arabic reading skills.

Abstract

Objective: Principal leadership plays an important role in improving the effectiveness of educational unit management. Principals function not only as administrators, but also as leaders who are able to direct, coordinate, and empower all school resources to achieve educational goals effectively and efficiently. This study aims to examine the role of principal leadership in improving the effectiveness of educational unit management. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various literature sources, including books, scientific journals, research articles, and other references related to educational leadership and school management. The results of the study indicate that adaptive, communicative, and transformational principal leadership has a positive influence on the effectiveness of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising school management. In addition, effective leadership can improve teacher motivation, create a positive work culture, encourage learning innovation, and strengthen the quality of educational services. Therefore, principal leadership becomes a strategic factor in realizing professional, effective, and quality-oriented educational management.

Abstract

A career crisis is a phenomenon frequently experienced by adults, particularly during the developmental transition phase, characterized by role changes, job uncertainty, and demands for adjustment to the dynamics of life. From a career development perspective, Donald Super explains that individuals go through career stages that allow for crises and transitions as part of the career maturation process. This study aims to analyze the concept of career crisis and transition in adults based on Super's theory and integrate it with an Islamic perspective. The method used is a literature review with a conceptual approach, through the analysis of various scientific literature sources, both from career development theory and Islamic values. The results of the study indicate that career crisis and transition in Super's theory align with the concepts of testing (fitnah), endeavor, and trust in God in Islam, where individuals are encouraged to continue striving, engage in self-reflection, and submit to God in facing career changes. This integration provides a holistic foundation for career counseling that emphasizes not only psychological aspects but also spiritual ones.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limitations of conventional career development theories that tend to emphasize individualistic orientations and therefore have not fully explained career decision-making dynamics within religious and collectivist societies. From an Islamic perspective, career development is influenced not only by personal abilities, but also by social relationships, family support, and spiritual values that shape individual life orientation. This study aims to examine the relational approach to career development from an Islamic perspective through a systematic review of previous studies. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA approach on scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025 and obtained from Scopus, Google Scholar, and other relevant academic sources. Data were analyzed thematically through identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages based on the research focus. The findings indicate that career development is influenced by family relationships, social support, emotional experiences, and the internalization of Islamic values such as trustworthiness, effort, consultation, and reliance on God. This study concludes that the integration of relational approaches and Islamic perspectives can serve as an alternative conceptual framework for developing more contextual, humanistic, and holistic Islamic career counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Trait and Factor theory with Islamic values in career counseling in order to develop a more holistic and meaningful career decision-making model. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, through the analysis of relevant scientific literature. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify, categorize, and synthesize key concepts related to individual characteristics, job requirements, and Islamic values in career selection.The findings indicate that Trait and Factor theory plays an important role in helping individuals understand their potential and align it with job demands in a rational manner. However, this approach has limitations, as it does not fully accommodate the dimensions of values and spirituality. Therefore, this study proposes an integrative conceptual model that incorporates Islamic values as a filtering mechanism in career decision-making, including intention (niyyah), permissibility (halal), social benefit, and orientation toward blessing (barakah). The implications of this study suggest that integrating psychological and spiritual aspects in career counseling can enhance self-understanding, clarity of career choices, career adaptability, and overall life satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of principal leadership based on the Ohio State Theory and its relationship to teacher performance at SMK Ketintang Surabaya. The study used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews with the vice principal, teachers, and students, while quantitative data were obtained through student assessments as peer assessors of roleplay simulations based on field findings. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the principal applies the dimensions of initiating structure and consideration in a balanced manner through target setting, task division, supervision, open communication, and professional support to teachers; (2) the research instrument was declared valid and reliable; and (3) the relationship between Ohio State leadership and teacher performance was classified as very weak with a correlation coefficient of 0.062, a significance of 0.743 (>0.05), and a determination coefficient of 0.4%. The novelty of this study lies in the use of an integrative approach that combines field interviews and roleplay simulations to examine principal leadership in the context of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMK.

Abstract

This learning model emphasizes that the learning process has a focal point on cooperation between students in small groups, where each individual has responsibility for a certain part of the material that has been divided by the educator and then teaches it to the other group members. This study aims to analyze the relevance and effectiveness of the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model on students learning outcomes and learning activities in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA guidelines, covering scientific articles from the 2021-2024period obtained through Google Scholar, DOAJ, and SINTA-indexed journals, using the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The results of the study indicate that the Jigsaw model is relevant in PAI learning and effective in improving learning outcomes, particularly in conceptual understanding and material retention. In addition, this model also enhances students learning activities in terms of participation, interaction, and collaboration during the learning process. These findings suggest that the Jigsaw model supports more active, collaborative, and meaningful learning.
