Abstract

This research is driven by teacher discipline challenges at SMP Negeri 21 Muaro Jambi, primarily caused by geographical constraints and difficult road access. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategies, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluate the effectiveness of their implementation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings reveal that the principal's strategies involve exemplary leadership, motivational support, fostering teamwork, mandatory lesson plan (RPP) preparation, and the enforcement of a reward and punishment system, including fines for tardiness. Key supporting factors include decisive leadership and a harmonious work environment, whereas poor road infrastructure remains the primary obstacle. In conclusion, these strategies effectively enhance teachers' disciplinary commitment. The study suggests integrating digital attendance systems to optimize performance evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies implemented by orphanage administrators in instilling religious values in foster children. The cultivation of religious values is an important aspect in shaping the character and personality of children Abu Bakar Sari, especially those living in orphanages. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of orphanage administrators and foster children. The results indicate that the strategies used by orphanage administrators in instilling religious values include habituation of religious activities, exemplary behavior of administrators, providing advice, as well as continuous supervision and guidance. Supporting factors in the implementation of these strategies include the commitment of administrators, a religious-oriented orphanage environment, and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in the backgrounds of foster children and limited time availability of administrators. Therefore, the strategies applied by orphanage administrators play an important role in instilling religious values and shaping the religious character of foster children.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon in the field, namely several students who often play games, and do not show empathetic responses, seem to have difficulty establishing two-way communication, and often do not focus when invited to discuss or collaborate. The purpose of this study is to see: 1) the description of playing online games in students, 2) the description of interpersonal communication in students, 3) the effect of playing online games on interpersonal communication in students. This type of research is quantitative correlational research. The study population was 318 people, with a purposive sampling technique so that the sample was 116 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire, the data analysis technique in the study was simple linear regression analysis. Based on the research, the following results were obtained: 1) the description of playing online games by students is in the high category, 2) the description of interpersonal communication by students is in the poor category, 3) there is a significant influence of playing online games on interpersonal communication by 59.6% with a fairly strong category. Therefore, it is recommended for BK teachers to provide guidance and counseling services related to the management of playing online games and the development of interpersonal communication skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy and work motivation on the performance of teachers at private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Teacher performance is an important factor in determining the quality of learning and educational outcomes, which is influenced not only by competence but also by psychological and motivational factors. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of teachers from private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Natar District, with the sample selected through an appropriate sampling technique. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that self-efficacy has a significant effect on teacher performance. In addition, work motivation also significantly influences teacher performance. Simultaneously, self-efficacy and work motivation contribute significantly to improving teacher performance. The novelty of this study lies in providing empirical evidence on the integrated role of psychological and motivational factors in enhancing teacher performance in private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of teaching styles and learning facilities on student learning motivation at Kanaan Christian Junior High School in Banjarmasin. The study uses a quantitative approach with an associative design. The study population consists of all 65 ninth-grade students, with a saturated sampling technique used for sampling. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, supported by interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software, through classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and determination coefficients. The results showed that teaching styles and learning facilities simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on student learning motivation. Partially, teaching styles had a significant effect on student learning motivation, as did learning facilities, which had a more dominant effect. The coefficient of determination value shows that the two independent variables are able to explain 32.1% of the variation in student learning motivation, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing effective teaching styles and providing adequate learning facilities as strategic efforts to increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teaching Factory program in improving the entrepreneurial skills of 11th grade students majoring in Business and Motorcycle Engineering at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data Collection was conducted through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model with triangulation of sources and techniques to maintain data validity. The results showed that the implementation of the Teaching Factory through AHASS workshop services provided students with real entrepreneurial experience, as demonstrated by their active involvement in workshop management, communication with customers, and the application of industry work standards. The application of the block scheduling system provides intensive support to students, while the habit of industrial work culture such as discipline, work ethic, communication, and teamwork contributes to the formation of students’ professional attitudes and entrepreneurial skills. This study confirms that the integration of the Teaching Factory, block system, and industrial work culture effectively improves the entrepreneurial skills of automotive vocational school students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the managerial implementation of the Qur’an memorization (tahfiz) program in maintaining students’ memorization consistency at SMAN 2 Bandar Lampung using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. This research employed a qualitative evaluative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the program is relevant to strengthening students’ religious character, although the objectives have not been formulated in measurable terms. The program is supported by adequate resources; however, limitations remain in curriculum structure, facilities, and funding. The implementation process has been carried out, yet monitoring, coordination, and motivational reinforcement are not optimal. The program has a positive impact on students’ memorization achievement and religious attitudes, although memorization consistency has not been fully sustained. Strengthening managerial aspects is essential to ensure program sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by the principal in developing teacher competencies at Public Elementary School 270 Lebani, Belopa District, Luwu Regency. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study. The findings reveal that the principal applies transformational leadership through four main dimensions: role modeling, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. These dimensions directly contribute to the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical, professional, social, personal, and digital competencies. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of digital competence as part of teacher development within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as the reinforcement of the principal’s role as an agent of change in rural areas. The conclusion emphasizes that transformational leadership is key to creating a school culture that supports learning innovation and sustainable professional development of teachers.

Abstract

The implementation of the compulsory reading program at the Cakrawala Kindergarten is still limited in terms of duration and variety of activities, making it less than optimal in increasing the interest and participation of Package B learners. This study aims to describe the role of Cakrawala Kindergarten managers in optimizing the compulsory reading program for Package B learners, analyzing management strategies, and identifying supporting and inhibiting factors in program implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects being managers and Package B learners. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that managers carry out managerial functions including planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The strategies implemented include providing motivation and appreciation, creating an interesting learning atmosphere, selecting reading materials according to interests, and literacy innovations such as media conversion. Supporting factors include the availability of facilities, book collections and manager support, while inhibiting factors include limited time and low initial reading interest. The novelty of this study lies in the focus of the study which emphasizes the role of TBM managers in optimizing the compulsory reading program on the Package B equivalency education pathway.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Lintas Cakrawala program at the Community Reading Center (Taman Bacaan Masyarakat/TBM) Cakrawala in improving literacy and community empowerment in West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency. The research examines the forms of literacy programs, the outcomes of community empowerment, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the program. This study employs an empirical research approach with a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with TBM managers and program participants, and documentation of Lintas Cakrawala program activities. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that the Lintas Cakrawala program plays a significant role in increasing reading interest, community learning participation, and the development of literacy skills. The program also contributes to social and economic community empowerment through creative literacy activities and skills training in collaboration with local communities. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of literacy, skills development, and community empowerment based on local wisdom in a participatory and sustainable manner, which differs from previous studies that emphasized literacy programs solely as educational facilities.
