Abstract

Organizational behavior is a fundamental factor in determining the effectiveness and quality of management in educational institutions, including Islamic educational institutions. However, studies on organizational behavior have largely been dominated by a positivist paradigm that emphasizes solely empirical and rational aspects, thereby failing to adequately accommodate the dimensions of values, spirituality, and transcendence—which are the defining characteristics of Islamic education. This article aims to critically examine the paradigms and epistemology of organizational behavior within the context of Islamic educational institutions. The study employs a qualitative approach based on library research, analyzing both classical and contemporary literature from the perspectives of modern management and Islamic educational philosophy. The findings indicate that developing organizational behavior within Islamic educational institutions requires an integrative paradigm that combines scientific rationality, empirical experience, and values ​​derived from divine revelation. Islamic epistemology offers a holistic framework that establishes the Qur’an, Hadith, reason, and experience as the primary sources of organizational knowledge. The article recommends a *Tawhid*-based conceptual model of organizational behavior that emphasizes the values ​​of *amanah* (trustworthiness), justice, *musyawarah* (consultation), and Islamic professionalism as the foundation for managing Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of educational management strategies on the development of Child-Friendly Schools at SD Negeri Ragatunjung 02, Brebes Regency, and to identify the implementation of management functions in creating a safe, comfortable, inclusive, and child-oriented learning environment. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and associative research designs. The population consisted of 350 students, with 187 respondents selected using the Slovin formula through simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires supported by observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple regression after passing validity, reliability, and statistical assumption tests. Results: The findings indicate that educational management strategies have a positive and significant effect on the development of Child-Friendly Schools. Systematic planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation improve coordination among school stakeholders, strengthen a child-friendly school culture, and support the fulfillment of children's rights. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence that integrating educational management functions with child rights principles constitutes an effective strategy for strengthening the implementation of Child-Friendly Schools at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study describes school library management in enhancing students' reading interest at UPTD SDN Kuanino, Kupang City, focusing on the planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions and the role of library human resources. Methods: A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data from observation, interviews, and documentation involving five purposively selected informants: the principal, library manager, a classroom teacher, and two students, analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The four management functions show basic elements, including a library vision and mission, a formal structure, book-lending services, and manual recording of visits and loans, yet none has been implemented optimally. Written programs and SOPs are absent, the manager also teaches a subject and lacks a library-science background, staff coordination remains informal, and periodic evaluation is lacking. These conditions are reflected in students' reading interest, which remains suboptimal across the indicators of enjoyment, awareness, frequency, and quantity, since library visits still depend on teacher direction rather than student initiative. Novelty: Unlike prior studies on library optimization or reading-interest programs, this study analyzes the interaction between George R. Terry's POAC functions and library human-resource capacity as joint determinants of reading interest in primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of burnout and work stress on teachers' work ethic at UPTD Elementary Schools in Naikoten 1 Village, Kupang City, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 88 teachers through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected via a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The results showed that partially, burnout does not have a significant effect on teachers' work ethic (sig. = 0.059 > 0.05), while work stress has a negative and significant effect (sig. = 0.024 < 0.05). Simultaneously, burnout and work stress have a significant effect on teachers' work ethic (F = 5.007; sig. = 0.009 < 0.05) with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.105. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on the simultaneous interaction of burnout and work stress on teacher work ethic within a local elementary-school context in Eastern Indonesia, a setting rarely explored in prior educational human-resource-management research, and identifies discipline and responsibility as the most vulnerable dimension requiring targeted intervention.

Abstract

Objective: This study analyzes student management in improving student discipline at UPTD SD Inpres Puluthie Oebelo, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency, focusing on how the thirteen scopes of student management are implemented in practice. Methods: A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was used. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, a classroom teacher, and student representatives, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Results: Student management has been implemented across its thirteen scopes, from planning, admission, orientation, attendance management, and grouping, to learning-outcome evaluation, grade promotion, transfer/drop-out handling, enforcement of codes of conduct, and the cultivation of punctuality, rule compliance, timely assignment submission, and polite language use. Most aspects run in a structured manner and contribute positively to student discipline, although weaknesses remain in formal documentation, visual socialization of rules, parental involvement in planning, and consistency of discipline evaluation. Novelty: This study offers a field-based mapping of all thirteen scopes of student management at the primary level within a Christian education institution in Eastern Indonesia, a setting rarely examined empirically, and identifies specific administrative and documentation gaps not widely highlighted in prior discipline studies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the "Rabbit and Tortoise" fable comic media regarding the topic of characters and character traits for second-grade elementary school students. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Research instruments included validation sheets for media and subject matter experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and a learning outcome test (post-test). The results indicate that: (1) the media's validity achieved an average score of 88% (categorized as “very valid”), comprising 92% from the media expert and 84% from the subject matter expert; (2) the media's practicality achieved a score of 98.75% in the limited trial, while the extensive trial yielded teacher and student response scores of 98% and 95% respectively (averaging 96.5%), placing it in the “very practical” category; and (3) the media's effectiveness was demonstrated by a classical learning mastery rate of 100% in the limited trial and 95% in the extensive trial, classifying it as "effective.” Thus, the “Rabbit and Tortoise” fable comic media is deemed very valid, very practical, and effective, making it suitable for use in Indonesian language instruction regarding characters and character traits for second-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Generation Z students’ perceptions of digital technology use in the Fundamentals of Office Management and Business Services (DDMPLB) course and to identify barriers to its implementation at SMKN 10 Semarang. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The participants consisted of eight students and one teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings show that students hold positive perceptions of digital technology because it facilitates access to information, clarifies understanding of the material, and increases learning engagement. Within the TPACK framework, the integration of technology, pedagogy, and content is reflected in the use of PowerPoint, learning videos, Google Classroom, and Quizizz. However, implementation still faces constraints such as limited computers, unstable internet connectivity, outdated devices, and varying teacher competence in using technology. The findings also indicate that simple audiovisual media can still strengthen students’ procedural understanding despite limited infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of ethnomathematics-based multimedia developed on flat geometry material for fourth-grade students of SDN Ringinanom. This study uses a research and development (RnD) methodology with the ADDIE approach model. The ADDIE development approach consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study consisted of fourth-grade teachers and all fourth-grade students of SDN Ringinanom, totaling 26. The results of the research that has been conducted show that (1) the results of the material expert validation test obtained a score percentage of 100% and the results of the media validation test obtained a score percentage of 78%. The two validation scores obtained were then accumulated to 89% with a very valid category. (2) the results of the teacher practicality test that has been conducted obtained a teacher response assessment of 100% with a very practical category. The results of the large-scale student practicality test obtained a final score of 87.5% with a very practical category. (3) The results of a large-scale effectiveness test conducted on 16 fourth-grade students at SDN Ringinanom showed that the average pretest score was 58.44 and the average posttest score was 91.88. Based on the Gain Score calculation results in the large-scale trial, the average N-Gain score was 0.8046 (80.46%), which is in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning method in Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation at SMP Muhammadiyah Grogol, Weru District, Sukoharjo Regency. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Al-Qur'an Hadith teacher, and students. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, while data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.  The findings indicate that the RADEC learning method has been implemented systematically through five learning stages: Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create. The implementation successfully increased students' participation, learning motivation, communication skills, critical thinking, and understanding of Al-Qur'an Hadith materials. Supporting factors include school policy, teacher commitment, students' enthusiasm, and a conducive religious environment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors involve limited instructional time, inadequate digital facilities, differences in students' literacy abilities, and the limited availability of professional training regarding RADEC implementation. This study contributes empirical evidence regarding the implementation of the RADEC learning method in Islamic Religious Education, particularly in Al-Qur'an Hadith learning at the junior secondary school level. The findings demonstrate that RADEC not only strengthens students' cognitive achievement but also develops collaborative skills, communication competence, creativity, and Islamic character simultaneously

Abstract

Social change, digitalization, and the increasing complexity of community needs require mosque-based organizations, particularly the Mosque Youth Association (Ikatan Remaja Masjid/IRM), to continuously transform their organizational management practices. This article aims to analyze the strengthening of IRM organizational management through the approaches of the learning organization and knowledge ecology, integrated with the Islamic values of siddiq (truthfulness) and amanah (trustworthiness). The study employs a qualitative descriptive literature review by examining relevant scholarly articles, books, and research reports. The findings indicate that the learning organization approach fosters a culture of collective learning, while knowledge ecology enhances the processes of knowledge creation, sharing, and utilization within the organization. The integration of the value of siddiq promotes organizational transparency and honesty, whereas amanah strengthens accountability and responsible leadership. The synergy of these three dimensions significantly enhances organizational capacity, improves the quality of work programs, increases member participation, and supports the long-term sustainability of mosque youth organizations. Therefore, the transformation of IRM organizational management requires the strengthening of a learning culture, a robust knowledge ecosystem, and the internalization of prophetic values as the foundation of adaptive organizational governance.
