Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of self-control, financial self-efficacy, and financial knowledge on personal financial management, with lifestyle serving as a moderating variable among students of the Economics Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Class of 2022. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that self-control, financial self-efficacy, and financial knowledge have positive and significant effects on personal financial management. Furthermore, lifestyle strengthens the effect of financial self-efficacy on personal financial management but does not moderate the relationships between self-control and personal financial management or between financial knowledge and personal financial management. The findings also imply that improving self-control, confidence in financial management, and financial knowledge is essential for enhancing students' personal financial management. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that lifestyle plays a selective moderating role by strengthening only the relationship between financial self-efficacy and personal financial management, while it does not moderate the relationships involving self-control or financial knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that shape the readiness of Grade XI students who choose Economics at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi in facing curriculum changes and determine the most dominant factor. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach involving 125 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) with IBM SPSS Statistics 26.The findings indicate that academic workload and family environment did not meet the PCA requirements and were excluded from the model. Four variables, namely self-efficacy, school environment, learning motivation, and teacher support, formed one principal component named the Learning Adaptation Factor in Facing Curriculum Change, explaining 70.962% of the total variance (eigenvalue = 2.838). Self-efficacy showed the highest factor loading (0.883), indicating that it contributed the most to students' readiness. Unlike previous studies that generally measured readiness levels or examined individual variables, this study identifies the underlying factor structure of student readiness using PCA and proposes the Learning Adaptation Factor in Facing Curriculum Change as the main construct explaining students readiness for curriculum change.

Abstract

Higher education institutions play a strategic role in developing academic cultures that are not only oriented toward scientific advancement but also toward environmental sustainability. In response to increasingly complex global challenges, universities are required to establish learning systems that enhance organizational capacity while fostering ecological awareness among academic communities. The concepts of learning organization and ecological knowledge have emerged as relevant approaches to promoting adaptive, innovative, and sustainable academic cultures. However, studies integrating these two concepts within the context of strengthening sustainability-based academic culture remain limited, particularly in Islamic higher education institutions. This study aims to analyze the role of learning organization and ecological knowledge in strengthening an academic culture based on environmental sustainability at Institut Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi Tambun Bekasi. The study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from various scholarly sources, including books, journal articles, academic documents, and previous studies related to learning organization, ecological knowledge, academic culture, and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Objective: Students' mental health is an essential factor supporting their personal, social, and academic development, so guidance and counseling services must be designed according to students' actual needs. This study describes the implementation of a needs-based guidance and counseling program to strengthen students' mental health at SMP Negeri 2 Labuan. A descriptive qualitative case-study approach was applied through three interrelated stages: diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation. Participants consisted of 31 seventh-grade students who completed the Student Needs Assessment (AKPD), together with students in grades VII and VIII who received classroom guidance, group guidance, group counseling, and individual counseling based on identified needs. Data were collected through observations, the AKPD, interviews, documentation, student worksheets (LKPD), reflective notes, and counseling records, then analyzed through triangulation of sources. Findings show that classroom guidance, group guidance, individual counseling, and group counseling effectively strengthened students' self-understanding, discipline, time management, and interpersonal communication, while helping address school avoidance and learning difficulties. The program also strengthened collaboration among school counselors, teachers, and school administrators in promoting students' mental health. These findings indicate that a needs-based guidance and counseling program can effectively support students' mental well-being.

Abstract

Training and course institutions (LPK) constitute a form of non-formal education that facilitates human resource development activities. The high level of public interest in working in South Korea has led to the emergence of Training and Course Institutions (LPK) that focus on Korean language training to prepare students for the Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) as a primary requirement for securing employment in South Korea. Work readiness is a critical factor that language course participants at LPK must consider in order to achieve success in their destination country. Self-efficacy is one internal factor believed to influence the level of work readiness exhibited by participants. The objective of this study is to examine the extent to which self-efficacy influences the work readiness of participants at LPK Sonagi Kendal. The research design employed is of a quantitative nature, employing an ex post facto design. A quantitative study was conducted on a sample of 53 language course participants at LPK Sonagi Kendal (2025/2026). The data was collected via a questionnaire and tested using simple regression with SPSS 27. The findings of the analysis indicated that self-efficacy exhibited a positive contribution of 23.3% (coefficient 0.233; p < 0.05) to work readiness. The statistical analysis of the data reveals a significant finding (p = 0.000). This finding indicates that enhancing self-efficacy directly impacts the work readiness of the participants at LPK Sonagi Kendal, particularly in the domain of Korean language courses

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze educational management in madrasahs located in remote and urban areas and identify the factors shaping differences in their management capacity. A qualitative comparative case study was conducted at MA Al-Muslim Tomi-Tomi in West Seram Regency and MA Al-Muslim Ambon in Ambon City. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 14 informants, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed thematically and comparatively through within-case analysis and cross-case comparison. The findings show that both madrasahs perform planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation functions, but through different management modalities. MA Al-Muslim Tomi-Tomi demonstrates an adaptive-relational modality that relies on flexible roles, direct coordination, teacher creativity, and close interpersonal relationships to sustain educational services amid shortages of teachers, facilities, learning resources, and connectivity. MA Al-Muslim Ambon demonstrates a structured-formal modality characterized by clearer task allocation and more systematic evaluation, yet it still faces shortages of teachers in specific subjects, suboptimal use of facilities, low student enrolment, and accessibility constraints. The study concludes that geographical context shapes the types of capacities and management risks experienced by madrasahs; therefore, management improvement requires differentiated support based on institutional needs and locational characteristics.

Abstract

English proficiency is an essential competency that students must master in the globalization era, as it serves as a medium of international communication, access to knowledge, and a driver of global competitiveness. However, Indonesian students still face significant challenges in developing English skills, including low self-confidence, limited practice opportunities, and insufficient supportive language environments. This study aims to describe and analyze the management of the Monthly Meeting program as a strategy for developing the English language skills of Full Day School students, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The study employed a library research method with a qualitative approach; data were collected through documentation of relevant scientific sources and analyzed using Content Analysis. The findings indicate that the Monthly Meeting program can be effectively managed through George R. Terry's management functions, namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC). The program provides students with opportunities to actively use English through communicative activities such as speeches, discussions, debates, storytelling, and presentations, thereby improving speaking skills, enriching vocabulary, and enhancing self-confidence. Program success is supported by school commitment, teacher involvement, and a conducive learning environment, while the main obstacles include students' lack of confidence and limited supporting facilities.

Abstract

The abstract nature of teaching Carbon Footprint Reduction, combined with device restriction policies, underlies this study, which aims to design, develop, and test the feasibility of the desktop-based educational game "Pilah Sampahmu" using Construct 3 for fourth-grade learners at MI Hidayatul Insan Karanganyar. The research methodology applied is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, and closed Likert-scale questionnaires, analyzed via descriptive percentages and operational verification using Black Box Testing. The results show that all functionality testing scenarios were valid, with feasibility scores of 82% from media experts, 84% from material experts, and 100% from educators. The cumulative average feasibility score reached 88.67%, concluding that the media meets the highly feasible criteria for implementation in IPAS learning. The novelty of this research lies in the pedagogical transformation of macro carbon emission concepts into an offline virtual laboratory for practical waste sorting, optimizing a drag-and-drop desktop platform aligned with learners' psychomotor development to bridge the lack of personal device access by utilizing school computer laboratory facilities. Implicatively, this educational game serves as a dynamic instructional tool that successfully leverages school ICT facilities to raise ecological awareness and boost learners' learning motivation from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze organizational development strategies within educational institutions as a systematic effort to enhance school effectiveness and the quality of learning. A descriptive qualitative method employing a literature review approach was used. Data were collected through interviews and an in-depth analysis of relevant scholarly literature, textbooks, and journals on organizational behavior. The findings indicate that organizational development in education must be carried out through five planned stages: diagnosing school conditions, action planning, implementing interventions (such as teacher training and team building), conducting periodic evaluations, and strengthening policies. The success of this strategy is influenced by internal factors—specifically human resource readiness—and external factors, such as technological adaptation. Effective implementation of organizational development has been shown to foster a positive work culture, boost teacher motivation, and optimize the quality of classroom learning processes. This study integrates the application of humanistic values with a systemic approach to organizational development, specifically focusing on overcoming resistance to change in schools and providing practical guidance for managing transitions to ensure the sustainability of educational quality.

Abstract

Objective: The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires school principals to demonstrate leadership that is capable of driving educational change, enhancing teacher professionalism, and fostering a school culture that is adaptive to evolving educational policies. This study aimed to analyze the transformational leadership model of the principal in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA IT Imam Syafii 2 Pekanbaru. This study employed a descriptive evaluative qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, senior teachers, and teachers implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, while data credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the principal implemented transformational leadership through four dimensions, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. These leadership practices strengthened teachers’ commitment to curriculum implementation, encouraged instructional innovation through training, supervision, and digital technology integration, and provided individualized professional support based on teachers’ needs. Consequently, teachers demonstrated improved professionalism in developing teaching modules.
