Abstract

Abstract

Farmer corporations are farmer economic institutions with legal entities in the form of cooperatives, as well as farmer-owned enterprises (BUMP) in the form of limited liability company (PT) or trading enterprises (UD), with most of the capital ownership owned by farmers so that they have a bargaining position over the products produced. The business model that the corporation wants to build includes the entire process of processing crops, from packaging to branding to marketing strategy, including connecting all of this with the banking system, technology innovators, and management that is able to manage everything well. Therefore, several stakeholders are needed, including the government, farmers, banking, universities, off-takers, insurance, agro-inputs, and technology. This study aims to see how the implementation of the Penta helix collaboration model increases the potential for cooperative competitiveness among corn farmers in Bandung Regency. This study used an in-depth interview method with informants, namely the management of the Sinar Corn Priangan Producers Cooperative, representatives of the Agricultural Extension Sector of the Bandung Regency Agricultural Service, and BNI Bank employees in the People's Business Credit (KUR) section. The results of this study indicate that all the pillars or parts of the Penta helix have been realized and implemented in the Bandung Regency Corn Farmers Corporation. The role of each pillar is in accordance with the opportunities and developments from time to time. The synergistic cooperation of all Penta helix elements involved in the development of the Bandung Regency Corn KORPORASI PETANI has resulted in the awarding of several awards for their achievements.

Abstract

The Bank Indonesia Social Program is here to carry out community development, one of its targets is Agronative. The aim of the research is to describe the characteristics of farmers in implementing PSBI, determine the impact of development on the welfare of farming communities, and determine the effectiveness of implementing PSBI in Agronative. The research method uses quantitative methods with an explanatory survey. 28 samples were taken using a saturated sample census. The author uses descriptive analysis and simple regression as data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that most of the farmers are aged 36-45 years, have 3 family members, with primary school education, have 10 years of farming experience where the source of information comes from relatives, manage 2,250 m² of land with land tenant status with a middle income . The R2value obtained is 0.185, meaning that the influence of PSBI on farmer welfare can be explained by the community development variable of 18.5%. Even though there is still a shortage of human resources, this program has been effective in improving the welfare of its members.

Abstract

Maize has a fairly large level of need in Indonesia, namely 41% for food, 28% for feed, and 31% for other needs, such as seeds and scattered seeds. Sumbang Sub-District as a maize production center contributing 23.09 percent of the total harvested area in Banyumas Regency has a productivity level that is apparently lower than national productivity. Allocation of optimal production inputs can provide maximum productivity as well, which can increase profits for farmers. This study aims to determine the factors that affect corn production and the most optimal level of use of production inputs in corn farming in the corn production center area in Banyumas Regency. The site selection was carried out purposively in Sumbang District as the center of corn production in Banyumas Regency using the sampling method, namely nonpropotional quota sampling with a sample of 50 corn farmer respondents. The data analysis method used in this study is to use the Cobb-douglass frontier stochastic production function to determine the production factors that affect corn production, namely land area, seeds, labor, organic fertilizers, urea fertilizers, phonska fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. This study provides results that production inputs that have a real influence on corn production in the production center of Banyumas Regency are land area, seeds, organic fertilizers, urea fertilizers and pesticides with the achievement of possible optimization, namely increasing the use of land area, seeds, labor, organic fertilizers and herbicides accompanied by the use of optimal production inputs according to the dosage recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Abstract

A yard is a plot of land around the house that is easy to cultivate with the aim of increasing the fulfillment of micronutrients through improving the family menu. Efforts to improve family food security and community nutrition must begin with the utilization of resources that are available and that can be provided in the environment. The responses obtained in this study were 185 households. The aim of this research is to find out how much understanding there is about the use of yard land. And to find out decision making in selecting vegetables. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The analytical method used consists of qualitative descriptive analysis to determine knowledge of yard land use, and descriptive statistics to determine decision making in selecting vegetables. The results of the research show that 67.76% have consumed vegetables from the produce of the yard, but 84.43% still buy vegetables outside for consumption, this is because growing vegetables in the yard is still not diverse enough to meet other types of vegetable food, so it is necessary to buy vegetables others to create a diversity of types of vegetables consumed. The decision to consume vegetables is influenced by housewives. The research results show the importance of consuming vegetables because of the benefits and taste of vegetables for 95.65% of respondents. Most respondents are not fixated on one type of vegetable, the most influential satisfaction factor is vegetables because of the ease of obtaining vegetables with a percentage of 42.31 and the price is quite affordable with a percentage of 38.96%. The results of the study showed that respondents did not know enough about the importance of the nutrients contained in vegetables, 30.54 respondents consumed vegetables less than 250 grams/day, this is not in accordance with WHO recommendations, because consuming vegetables can contribute to fulfilling nutrients that are important for the body because Vegetables contain vitamins, mineral and fiber that the body needs.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive qualitative research conducted from March to June 2024 in Tinggar Village, Kadugede District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province. The choice of research location was based on the following considerations: (1) the location faced issues of declining productivity, (2) farmers' enthusiasm in participating in extension activities was high, but there has been a decline in production over the past three years. The research technique used was a survey. Data were obtained from interviews with questionnaires, observations, and literature reviews. Respondents consisted of one field extension agent and 64 rice farmers participating in agricultural extension activities. They were selected using Purposive Sampling, where the researcher asked the village head to gather members of farmer groups in the village. The results of this study indicate that the role of agricultural extension in Tinggar Village is considered good, leading to changes in the behavior of rice farmers. This is because farmers perceive that the extension activities have a positive impact on production when they follow the advice given by the extension agents. However, changes in behavior are not fully followed by farmers due to cost constraints, resulting in farmers only implementing some of the advice given by the extension agents.
