Abstract

Media have an important role in channeling information from teachers to learners. The development and utilization of ICT-based learning media both offline and online can be utilized by educators. In practice, however, teachers use less of learning media during the learning process. The method often used by teachers is lecture, which causes students to feel bored in following the lesson so that the understanding of the material is less good. By using appropriate learning media in the learning process will make students more active. Development of interactive multimedia PowToon aims to develop and produce a medium of learning in the form of interactive multimedia on the subject of economics subject of monetary policy as well as see and test the effectiveness of interactive multimedia design. This development model uses a development model from Borg and Gall that has been modified as needed. The type of data in this study uses quantitative data and qualitative data. Validation of product contents is done by using a questionnaire with scale scale based on Likert scale. Validation test results show that this medium is "valid and usable" with average percentage of material expert 1 of 95%, material expert 2 is 81,67%, media expert is 93,24%, and field trial is 90,15 %. Based on the results of expert validation and field trials it can be concluded that PowToon interactive multimedia products are valid and suitable for use as a medium of learning in school. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v11i12018p071

Abstract

This research departs from the problem of lack of understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship in high school. The existence of entrepreneurship subjects is expected to develop students' skills in developing the business and foster the entrepreneurial spirit that is in the students themselves. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive located in SMA Negeri 2 Malang. Technique of collecting data is done through observation, test, interview and documentation. The results showed that students can understand entrepreneurial knowledge well with the thought to open a business and mengmebangkan effort. In addition each student has the characteristics of entrepreneurial spirit that is different in him. Abstract

This research was done in the eleventh grade of Economic Base-Interest Class at Senior High School 1 Tumpang. There were 40 students in the class which consisted of 31 females and 9 males. The data collection of the implementation of quantum learning and mind mapping was using teacher’s observation checklist. The data of the student’s learning result were obtained from pretest and postest, and the data of the student’s creativity was obtained from the observation sheet of the student’s creativity in making mind mapping.Based on  the results of  the data collection, there was improvement in the eleventh grade of Economic Base-Interest Class students’s learning result and creativity. This was proven by the researcher’s success on  implementing quantum learning and mind mapping model. In cycle 1, 74% of the students were categorized good (B). In cycle 2, there was improvement, which was 90% of the students were categorized very good (A).  It can be concluded that the student’s learning process improved from 74% in the cycle 1 to 90% in the cycle 2, or it was 19% improved. Meanwhile, the improvement of the student’s creativity in making mind mapping individually or in group was showed by the students or groups who could successfully reach the category of very good (A) in the cycle 2. At first, those students or groups could not reach that category. The success of the implementation of the learning model by the researcher was very good (A). In addition, the score of category very good (A) is 80-90. Based on the result of the study, the teachers especially the economics teachers are suggested to implement this learning especially the economics teachers are suggested to implement this learning model to improve student’s learning result and also student’s creativity. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v11i12018p063

Abstract

Human is faced towards various decisions in terms of consumption. Deciding on consumption activities needs guidance, therefore the decisions could become more rational to do. Nowadays, the majority of students can access social media on their cell phones to consume any products, however this condition shifts from what they need to what they desire or want. The majority of students are lack of careful consideration in consuming products. Abstract

enthusiastic in expressing ideas in developing ICT-based learning media. The solution given to overcome this is by applying Lesson Study activities in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of creative thinking students majoring in development economics in developing ICT-based learning media through the action of lesson study. This research was conducted by the team of lesson study team which consisted of four lecturers who acted as model and observer lecturers, followed by 25 students majoring in development economics who took the course of learning media development. This research took place in three class action cycles. The first cycle uses mind mapping based learning, the second cycle uses group discussion based learning, and the third use individual based learning. Instruments used in the form of observation sheet given at each learning cycle. The result of this research is the application of several strategies in learning, development of several learning instruments to assess the dependent variable. Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated technology has brought changes to Indonesian. People try to fulfill and adjust their life with technology changes, one of them is internet. Internet technology makes consumers easy to purchase a product by online shopping. According to APJII research in 2016, online shop is a frequently visited content and university students are the largest access. That is why the researcher wants to know Economics Students year 2014 online shopping trends decision. This research is aimed to: (1) to know economics students online shopping trend decision, (2) to know economics students online shopping decision,(3) to know online shopping problems. This study uses a qualitative method with the kind of phenomenology and uses snowball sampling technique. The data was collected by doing observe, interview, and documentation. The data sources are economics student year 2014. The result of the research shows: (1) the high intensity of student spending reaches twice until  five times in a month, (2) easy, practical, save time and effort, price and product variety and ease of payment and delivery. (3) the problem is the goods received are not in accordance with the image, the duration of the seller's response, and the slow delivery of goods. Abstract

The problem in this research is business development in the form of profit of batik entrepreneurs in batik center of Tasikmalaya city that fluctuated up and down in the last 5 months. This is due to the lack of positive mental attitudes of batik entrepreneurs in the form of entrepreneurial attitudes such as confidence, task-oriented attitude and outcome, risk-taking attitude, leadership attitude, future-oriented attitude, and the attitude of originality (creativity and innovation) to improve its business development. In this study, the object of research is the batik entrepreneurs in the center of batik handicrafts Tasikmalaya city. The sample in this research were 31 people taken with saturated sampling technique. The method used in this research is explanatory survey using questionnaire as data collecting tool and technique using simple linear regression, in data analysis using SPSS 11.5 for Windows program. Based on the result of the research, it is found that partially variable of entrepreneurship attitude has a positive and significant effect on business development. From the research results also obtained R2 value of 74.1% which shows that the influence of entrepreneurial attitude toward business development is equal to 74.1%, meaning 74.1% change in the profit of batik entrepreneurs in the center of batik handicrafts Tasikmalaya city influenced by entrepreneurial attitude and the rest 25.9 % influenced by other factorsDOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v11i12018p001

Abstract

This research aims to know the difference between the results of learning economics students who are using the method of problem solving with method lectures. This research was carried out in SMA N 3 Teladan Bukittinggi. This type of research is a research quasi experiments with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research is the whole grade X SMA N 3 Teladan Bukittinggi listed on the school year 2013/2014 as much as 407 students. The sampling method used purposive sampling method with the total sample of 64 students. X IPS 2 as an experiment, using the method of problem solving and X IPS 1 as the control class, use methods of the lecture. The type of the data being used is the primary data that (pre-test) and (post-test), then the data were analyzed by using the Z-test with α = 0.05. The results retrieved using the Z-test, Z-test analysis on post test retrieved Zhit = 2,19 and Ztab = 1.96 means Zhit Ztab >, then reject H0. So it can be inferred that the hypotheses there is a difference between the results of significant learning students who are taught using problem solving method and method  lectures of class X students IPS SMA N 3 Teladan Bukittinggi. Where use of the problem solving method is better than on the method of lectures. It is recommended to teachers to consider methods of problem solving as an alternative in the learning process, particularly on the basis of competency describes the concept of management and applying the concept of management in school activities.

Abstract

Students are not shy anymore in entrepreneurship either online or offline. The type of this research is qualitative research with phenomenology approach. Students who became the subject in this study amounted to 7 students. The results of student test entrepreneurship into the category very good. Entrepreneurship knowledge, family economic education, and entrepreneurship interest provide students motivation in entrepreneurship. Suggestions in this study entrepreneurial students to better deepen knowledge of entrepreneurship well, family economic education is more applied again, and entrepreneurial interest is more improved again.Keywords: Entrepreneurial Knowledge, Family Economic Education, and Entrepreneurship Interests

Abstract

This study analyze consumptive behavior and saving behavior of students who receive bidikmisi scholarship. Some students allocate scholarship fund wisely for primary necessary, study necessary, and saving. But some students does consumptive behavior, as for travelling, buy branded clothes, and buy gadgets. The research method used is qualitative research with phenomenology approach. Sampling method used is snowball sampling. Data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. Bidikmisi student’s consumptive behavior are divided into 2 class, there are low consumptive behavior and medium consumptive behavior. Bidikmisi students make consumption decision consider some factor as necessary, usefulness of good, quality, and budget. Bidikmisi student’s saving behavior done conditionally. Savings activities conducted every month depending on the amount of consumption.
