Abstract

The genus Morchella or known as morels is one of the most popular edible mushrooms around the world. Information regarding the distribution and cultivation of this fungus are mostly from the temperate country. In Indonesia, to date only 2 reports of the distribution of this mushroom have been found, at Mount Rinjani West Nusa Tenggara (2012) and Mount Klabat Minahasa Utara (2019). Since then, there have been no report of this macrofungi in Indonesia. In 2020, local people ( the members of the Indonesian mushroom hunting community) shared the information about the appereance of Morchella at residence area near Mount Gede Pangrango, West Java. Morphological identification which completed by the description and macroscopic characterization confirmed the identity of the macrofungi as Morchella sp. Further observation using microscopic characters and / or DNA data needs to be done to confirm the taxonomic position to the species level in the future studies. This information adds to the recording of Morchella distribution and its potential use in Indonesia. Keywords: Inventory, Macrofungi, Indonesia, Morchella

Abstract

The use of instructional media is one of the teacher's efforts to create maximum teaching and learning processes. Research on the use of integrated audio media Ya Lal Wathan in this study was carried out because the media used were new and had never been used by previous studies. This study aims to compare the effect of Ya Lal Wathan's integrated audio media and power point media on the cognitive abilities of high school students on Kingdom Plantae material. The study design used the Non-equivalent Control Group Design using a purposive sampling technique. We took all of students in MAN 1 Semarang as population and 2 classes as sample. The instruments used were 20 pre-test questions and 20 post-test questions given in power point and integrated audio class. Data were analyzed by Sign Test. The result of the study showed that there was an equally significant effect between two classes. However, students taught by integrated audio got an average grade in the post-test that is higher than the control class so there is a positive tendency that integrated audio media with Ya Lal Wathan is good for application in learning. It is necessary to innovate our audio media for further research.

Abstract

Poor student motivation in the online lecture process encourages researchers to provide a treatment that results in better student motivation in basic physics courses. Student learning motivation in the basic physics course is 30.38 with a poor category. The treatment applied in this study is to apply alternative assessments in the form of paper assessments, knowledge assessments, portfolio assessments, and discussion assessments. This study aims to determine how to increase learning motivation that occurs in students after the implementation of alternative assessments in online lectures. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental method with one group pretest posttest design. The instrument used is a scale of student learning motivation attitudes using a Likert scale. Student learning motivation after the implementation of the alternative assessment has a value of 89.50 in the very good category. The increase in student learning motivation has increased significantly with a value of <N-Gain> of 0.85. Various assessments that are not only concerned with knowledge competencies can increase student motivation in carrying out basic physics online lectures.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with very rich in local regional potential. The local potential can be utilized as one of the natural science learning sources in junior high school. One of the local potentials that can be integrated with science lessons is food. This research aimed to conduct the study, analysis, and develop science subject specific pedagogy of natural science learning integrated local food in Cangkringan Sub-District to introduce chemical materials in junior high school, namely additives in food and its impact on health. This research was research and development (R&D) with 4-D model, consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Product eligibility is assessed by the validator using the product feasibility assessment sheet. Product feasibility assessment scores are then classified in product rating category classification. This research results is produce science subject specific pedagogy that consist of syllabuses, lesson plans, handouts, and student worksheets. The developed syllabus gets a feasibility score of 4.00, lesson plan gets a score of 3.80, the handout gets a score of 3.60, while the student worksheet gets a score of 3.80. Based on these results, overall, the science subject specific pedagogy developed gained a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using NetSupport School software on environmental pollution subject matter on student learning outcomes. This is a quasi-experimental research. The research design used is a posttest only control group design. The research sample consisted of three groups taken randomly. The first group is the control group which does not use learning multimedia, the second group is experiment group 1 which uses an LCD projector, and the third group is experiment group 2 using NetSupport School software. The data collection instruments are in the form of posttest questions and affective questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique was carried out using the One-Way ANOVA test. The results showed that: 1). hypothesis testing of cognitive learning outcomes showed that there was a significant effect on all groups. Of the three groups, experiment group 2 had the highest mean value. 2). the hypothesis test of affective learning outcomes showed that there was a significant effect on all groups. Of the three groups, experiment group 2 had the highest mean value. Based on these results, it is concluded that the NetSupport School software application has a significant effect on students’ cognitive and affective learning outcomes.

Abstract

The electroplating method is considered an economical way in coating manufacture. However, this method is more widely used to treat chemical waste management and material properties engineering. The purpose of this research is to make a low-temperature sensor Cu/Ni film using an electroplating method assisted by an external magnetic field. The materials used are nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu), placed as anode and cathode. The electrolyte solution used is made from a mixture of H3BO3 (40 g/L), NiSO4 (260 g/L), and NiCl2 (60 g/L). The deposition process is carried out using an external magnetic field of 200 G and installed perpendicular to the deposition current, 120 s deposition time, and 3 Volt voltage. Preparation of Cu/Ni layer sensor samples is done by changing the electrolyte solution's temperature by varying the temperature between 30 ºC to 70 ºC with intervals of 10 ºC. The results of the research show that in testing the performance of the low-temperature sensor, each Cu/Ni layer sample has been able to offer its character as a low-temperature sensor. The character is indicated by changes in the output voltage's value following changes in the thermocouple value. Each sample at variations in the temperature of the electrolyte solution shows that the measured voltage range varies with the most extensive voltage range the sample has with deposition at 60 ºC.Keywords: Electrolyte Solution Temperature, Voltage Range, Cu/Ni layer, Low-Temperature Sensor, Electroplating.

Abstract

The transition from face-to-face to online practical work, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, was unprecedented. Biology teachers are expected to integrate technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge to carry out online practical work successfully. Teachers' TPACK is performed, in part, during instructional planning. Therefore, study on how biology teacher performs their TPACK during online practical work is crucial. This study investigates biology teachers' TPACK on their instructional planning in practical work during online learning. The descriptive method was used with 42 participants who join as biology teacher association in Garut city. The Data was collected through a questionnaire, instructional planning document, and online interviews. The result shows several finding. First, biology teachers have a great belief on their TPACK. This indicates sustained integration of technology in learning even after this challenging time, for example, when blended learning is in the future. Second, biology teachers' TPACK based on their instructional planning is on three-level: recognizing, accepting, and adapting. Third, several opportunities, obstacles, and suggestions have been discussed by biology teachers. It is implied that this research promotes teacher professional development program to enhance their TPACK.
