Abstract

AbstractThis study offers a theological reflection on prophetic spirituality in pastoral ministry, grounded in the pericope of John 6:1–15 and contextualized within the pastoral reality of St. John the Baptist Parish, Boganatar, Diocese of Maumere. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the research interprets Jesus’ act of feeding the five thousand as a paradigm of prophetic ministry that embodies compassion, participation, and transformation. Thefindings suggest that prophetic spirituality is characterized by a profound sensitivity to the concrete needs of the faithful, active participation in the life of the community, and a total self-donation rooted in the example of Christ. Within the rural pastoral context, such spirituality becomes a vital framework for fostering a ministry that is both responsive to human suffering and liberative in its orientation. The study contributes to pastoral praxis by deepening the integration of Gospel values into the life of the local Church, thereby promoting a ministry that humanizes, empowers, and transforms the community of faith. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk merefleksikan spiritualitas kenabian dalam pelayanan pastoral berdasarkan Yohanes 6:1-15, dengan fokus pada konteks pastoral Paroki St. Yohanes Pembaptis Boganatar, Keuskupan Maumere. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, kajian ini menyoroti bagaimana teladan Yesus yang memberi makan lima ribu orang menjadi inspirasi dalam mewujudkan pelayanan yang transformatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas kenabian menuntut kepekaan terhadap kebutuhan umat, keterlibatan aktif dalam pelayanan, dan pemberian diri yang total. Dalam konteks pastoral pedesaan, spiritualitas ini relevan untuk membangun pelayanan yang responsif dan membebaskan. Eksplorasi ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi praksis pastoral Gereja lokal agar semakin berakar pada nilai-nilai injili yang memanusiakan dan memberdayakan umat.

Abstract

AbstractThis article reinterprets the Council of Nicaea (325) through a triadic framework of event, experience, and learning, informed by the philosophical and theological insights of Alfred North Whitehead, Edward Schillebeeckx, and Peter Jarvis. Nicaea is approached not merely as a historical or doctrinal episode, but as an ongoing ontological event that continues to inform Christian identity, practice, and theological imagination. The Nicene Creed is thus understood as a living and dynamic articulation of faith, continually renewed through liturgy, catechesis, and ecclesial formation. In light of the ecological and ethical crises defining the Anthropocene epoch, the study examines how the Nicene legacy can offer theological orientation and moral discernment for the contemporary Church. By employing a triadic perspective, the article proposes that the Creed of Nicaea serves as a generative model of relational, ethical, and ecological care within a context of global disruption and ecclesial transformation. AbstrakArtikel ini menafsirkan ulang Konsili Nicaea (325) melalui pendekatan triadik peristiwa, pengalaman, dan pembelajaran, berdasarkan wawasan-wawasan Alfred North Whitehead, Edward Schillebeeckx, dan Peter Jarvis. Nicaea dipahami bukan sebagai episode doktrinal statis, melainkan sebagai peristiwa ontologis yang terus membentuk identitas, praktik, dan imajinasi Kristen. Kredo Nicaea dilihat sebagai ekspresi iman yang dinamis, yang dipelihara melalui liturgi, katekese, dan formasi komunitas. Dalam konteks krisis-krisis ekologis dan etis era Antroposen, artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana warisan Nicaea dapat menjadi sumber orientasi teologis dan pencerahan moral. Dengan lensa triadik, artikel ini memposisikan Kredo Nicaea sebagai kerangka dasar iman yang menumbuhkan kepedulian relasional, etis, dan ekologis di tengah krisis global dan transformasi eklesial.

Abstract

Armand Leon Van Ommen has written a book about autism and worship. This is an academic work in the area of liturgical theology. He brings readers to consider how the presence of autistic people in worship influence the way we design and execute liturgy. The ultimate purpose is to develop a liturgical theology of availability and participation as an ecclesiological praxis that truly highlight the essence of the identity of believers.

Abstract

AbstractAgrarian conflicts remain a persistent and serious issue in Indonesia. Land, which should serve as a source of livelihood for many, is increasingly controlled by large corporations through state-issued permits. Consequently, indigenous communities that have stewarded the land for generations often face marginalization and even criminalization. This situation raises a fundamental theological question: who truly owns the land—the people, the state, or God? Leviticus 25:23–24 underscores that the land must not be sold permanently, for its ultimate owner is God, while humans are merely sojourners entrusted with its use. This study employs a critical hermeneutical method to interpret the text within its post-exilic context and to contextualize its meaning in relation to contemporary land conflicts in Indonesia, particularly in the Lake Toba region. The findings suggest that the Jubilee principles articulated in Leviticus 25 offer a theological foundation for agrarian reform, affirming that land is a divine gift to be managed with justice, sustainability, and preferential concern for the vulnerable. AbstrakKonflik agraria masih menjadi persoalan serius di Indonesia. Tanah yang seharusnya menjadi sumber kehidupan rakyat justru dikuasai oleh korporasi besar melalui izin pemerintah. Akibatnya masyarakat adat yang telah mengelola tanah secara turun temurun terpinggirkan, bahkan dikriminalisasi. Pertanyaannya, siapa sesungguhnya pemilik tanah—rakyat, negara atau Tuhan? Imamat 25:23-24 menegaskan bahwa tanah tidak boleh dijual permanen karena pemilik sejati adalah Tuhan sedangkan manusia hanyalah pendatang yang diberi hak pakai. Tulisan ini menggunakan analisis hermeneutis teologis untuk menafsirkan teks dalam konteks pasca pembuangan lalu mengkontekstualisasikannya pada konflik tanah di Indonesia, khususnya di kawasan Danau Toba. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ketentuan Tahun Yobel dalam Imamat 25 dapat menjadi dasar teologis untuk reformasi agraria: tanah adalah titipan Tuhan yang harus dikelola dengan adil, lestari dan berpihak pada kelompok lemah.
