Abstract

Currently, gadget users have penetrated the world of children who still have limited knowledge, namely early childhood. Early childhood is the best imitator. So that, when the child gets a good stimulus, the child will be good, but if the child gets a bad stimulus, it will interfere with the child's development process. The aims of this study were: 1) to determine the effect of gadget addiction on children's development; 2) to find out the effects of gadget addiction on children; 3) to find out the efforts of parents in dealing with children who are addicted to gadgets. The research method used is a type of qualitative research that comes from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain data/information related to research problems. This research was conducted in Suak Batang Village, Gandus District, Palembang City, for parents and early childhood with a sample of 10% of the population in Suak Batang Village, namely 37 people. The conclusions of this study are 1) that gadget addiction causes children to like to spend time at home playing with gadgets and, in early childhood, watching violent content, thus influencing children to be arrogant when playing with their friends. 2) That gadget addiction in children has a positive impact, such as increasing knowledge, developing imagination, facilitating communication, and training children's creativity. But there are also negative impacts, such as sleep disorders, health, and development, which can also affect children's behavior, namely; restlessness, aloofness, lack of concentration, and laziness. 3) that the efforts of parents in overcoming gadget addiction in children are mentoring children, limiting the use of gadgets, scheduling gadget use, not giving children full access to gadget use.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship skills are very important to be provided to prospective teachers and teachers through a learning scheme. Before designing a learning scheme, it is necessary to do a mapping to identify weaknesses and strengths in the achievement of entrepreneurship skills. This research was conducted to identify the achievement of entrepreneurship skills of prospective teachers and teachers. In addition, it also identifies the learning process carried out in order to train these entrepreneurial skills. The study was conducted using a survey method, with a total of 77 prospective teacher participants (spread over several universities in Central Java) and 119 teachers (teachers in several schools in Central Java). Questionnaires are used to investigate the achievement of entrepreneurial skills. An analysis of the lesson plan document was carried out to identify the learning process carried out in an effort to train entrepreneurship skills. The study results indicate that entrepreneurship skills still need to be improved, especially for teachers and prospective teacher students, especially the innovative aspect. In addition, this study succeeded in describing how learning activities were carried out to practice entrepreneurship skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Japanese popular culture as a learning resource on students' Japanese language learning achievement. A quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest one-group experimental design was used as the research method. Two classes were used to conduct this research, namely the Japanese writing and speaking classes at Japanese Education, Darma Persada University, Jakarta. Each class consists of 30 students. Data is taken from test results, observations and documents. The data analysis technique uses a two-sample paired t-test for the mean. The results of the t-test data analysis show that Japanese popular culture can be used as an authentic learning source in the classroom, and student learning outcomes in Japanese writing and speaking classes have increased from the previous semester. The result of data analysis using a t-test can be seen from the Japanese writing class showing that t Stat t-table (-30.0667 2.0452) and the Japanese speaking class showing that t Stat t-table (-20.5542 2.0452). So, the results of this research have implications for understanding the use of learning resources that are familiar to students and appropriate to the context of students' lives

Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of disaster literacy in preparing disaster-resilient students. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a quasi-experimental design. The type of research used in this research is one group pretest-posttest. The research population is students of a public junior high school in Lembang, grade 7, for the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample consisted of 33 students in class 7A. Data was collected through tests and documentation for two months, from November to December 2022. Then, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Data analysis used paired t-test with the result that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of 33 students with p 0.000. Based on these results, disaster literacy is very effective in improving disaster preparedness, especially in preparing aspects of disaster literacy knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The recommendations in this study are that only a few researchers apply disaster literacy in schools so that disaster literacy activities can become routine habits carried out by students and schools.

Abstract

The development of historical thinking skills, one must analyze historical event evidence. A thorough, reliable, and trustworthy grasp of history will be created through a variety of historical sources. In order to construct historical narratives, one has to be able to find, recognize, evaluate, interpret, and generalize information from primary source material. In order to fully fulfill this potential, educators must create effective ways. Due to this, the purpose of this study is to (1) explain the value of using original sources to support historical understanding and (2) find ways to use Virtual Field Trip media to help students use primary sources to support their historical learning. A literature review is employed to obtain the answers to the stated research questions. Literature reviews that were pertinent to the issue under study were used to gather research data. The interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman for data analysis included data gathering, data reduction, data display, and conclusion-making. The study's major results point out that (1) using primary source evidence effectively is crucial for developing historical understanding and (2) using virtual field trip media effectively helps students develop higher-order thinking skills, including the ability to use primary sources effectively. According to the conclusions, this article advises teachers to employ learning resources that provide students with hands-on experience.
