Abstract

The research purposes to increases and mathematics achievement with Verbal Football method in class VII A SMP Negeri 2 Sanden Bantul. The research subjects were students of class VII A SMP Negeri 2 Sanden and object of this research were interests and mathematics achievement. The results showed that interest and mathematics achievement increase. The results can be seen from questionnaire data pre-term by 72.79% with moderate category, increased to 76.89% with the high category in first term. Then increased again to 82.42% in second term with the very high category. The results of mathematics achievement obtained from test, with percentage completeness obtained pre-term 61.29% with an average of 69.51. In first term increased to 80.65% with an average of 78.87 and in second term increased to 100% with average value of 91.45.

Abstract

The purposes of this research was to describe the interest and achievement of mathematics in student B eight grade junior high school PIRI 2 Yogyakarta using Quantum Teaching. This research was Class Action Research (CAR). The technique of data done by questionnaire, and tests. The results of the research that increases motivation and mathematics achievement. The average percentage of student motivation questionnaire at pre-cycle was 73,89%, became 80,74 % at cycle I, and became 84,35% at cycle II. Achievement of the KKM also increased. Average of achievement at pre-cycle 47 , 54,66 at the first cycle, and 70,31 at the second cycle. Based the results of the research, learning model of Quantum Teaching can increase motivation and achievement of mathematics. So, teachers can implement Quantum Teaching type as a variation of learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve interests and outcome of learning Mathematics of Eighth grade students of SMP Taman Dewasa Pawiyatan Yogyakarta, employing the Small Group Work model. Action Hypothesis proposed in this study is that the Small Group Work model is able to enhance the interest and outcome of learning Mathematics of the Eighth grade students of SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. The research applies the Classroom Action Research, particularly using apparent experiment conducted, at least, in 2 cycles. The subject appointed is the Eighth grade students of SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. There are 19 students consisting of 9 male students and 10 female students. The object opted is Mathematics learning through Small Group Work model to determine their interest and the outcome of Mathematics learning in Algebra operation. The required data is gathered through using observation sheets, questionnaires, tests, field documentation and notes. The instruments are assessed using validity and reliability tests. The research findings indicate that the application of Small Group Work model is proven to improve students’ interest and their learning outcome. This can be presented by the increasing of student’s interest average percentage based on the observation sheets in each cycle. In the first cycle, the students’ interest is as much as 62,71%, and for the second cycle achieves 79,82%. It is also supported by the questionnaire data that shows the increasing number in the first to the second cycle, from 79,83% to 85,11%. The increasing fashion also takes place in the students’ Mathematics average score. The average score for the first cycle is 48,42 up to 58,95, and for the second cycle turns to 71,84. It is confirmed in this research that the Small Group Work model can enhance students’ interest and the Mathematics learning outcome. It is expected that teachers can put this learning model in practice.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of multiplication arithmetic operations through the application of Jarimatika techniques. Classroom action research  implemented collaborative classroom teachers in two cycles. The subject of research grade II SD N 100070 Lobulayan T.A 2014 amounted to 22 students. Data collection techniques: tests, observation, interviews and documentation. Descriptive data analysis techniques. The result increased the percentage of the total value and average grade. In the first cycle of meeting one class average 64.09 (50%) and the second meeting of the average grade 69.27 (68.18%). First cycle first meeting an average grade 77.59 (81.81%) and the second meeting of the average grade 81.77 (86.36%).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the result and active learning of the students in XA grade of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungsari Gunungkidul using active learning method Group to Group Exchange (GGE) type. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively. Subjects of this research are XA students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungsari Gunungkidul 31 students. Data of active learning student was collected through observation. Data of students' mathematics learning outcomes were collected through testing and documentation. Observations indicate increased student activity term I 68.8% and term II 78%. Increased students' mathematics learning outcomes viewed from the average value and completeness KKM. The average value of 74.90 with 17 pre- term students who completed, the term I 78.26 with 21 student who completed, and term II of 83.81 with 24 students who completed. Researcher hoped teachers can apply GGE models.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the process of inductive learning to enhance the activity and outcomes of learning mathematics for students of class VII A, SMP Negeri 1 Binangun, Cilacap. Type Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects were students of class VII A Binangun SMP Negeri 1 Cilacap, involving 33 students. Object of research activity and outcomes of learning mathematics using inductive learning model. The results showed an increase in the activity of the student's learning experience, from the first cycle of the average percentage of the activity of 50,21% in the second cycle becomes 73,37%. Mathematics learning outcomes also increased from an average value of 66,33 at the beginning of the ability of the first cycle to the second cycle of 71,64 and the average is 81,94. Percentage achieving KKM also increased from 51,51% in the prior knowledge, the first cycle to be 66,67% and 87,88% in the second cycle. Thus, teachers are advised to apply inductive learning model, as an alternative learning model to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aims research to find out the stages of good rice seed will be planted, to know the time calculation in Java to plant rice, and to complete the model and general mathematical solution by calculating the number of rice seeds involving the area of rice fields (10.000 m ^ 2). This type of research used qualitative research with ethnography approach. Research subjects namely Mbah and Pakde in Baratan village who work a rice farmer. This study uses interview guidelines. The results obtained from the interview data that is to determine the stage of good rice seed will be planted is to plow the field using a hoe, soaking rice seeds for 48 hours, sort the results of good rice immersion, curing for 48 hours to germinate, sow seeds evenly, after 20 days of paddy seedlings removed and planted, 1 week given urea fertilizer, 45 days fertilized again, and 3 months ready for harvest, while for the calculation of time in good Java language to plant rice that is prey ketelu on 25 August - 18 september (24 days ). The result of the mathematical model and solution associated with calculating the amount of rice involving the paddy area is obtained by the area of rice field (10.000m 2), the number of rice seeds needed is more.

Abstract

Permainan interaktif “Geocaching” adalah media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar Matematika di tingkat SMA. Untuk menguji hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest one group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA di lingkungan kota, terbiasa menggunakan teknologi dan memiliki kemampuan kognisi dari rentang sedang hingga tinggi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket motivasi belajar matematika siswa.  Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji – t untuk sampel berpasangan diperoleh Sig.     (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α = 0,05, hal ini menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran Geocaching dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of concept errors, procedural errors, computational errors, and to determine the most dominant error in solving the problem of mathematics description of students of grade VIII B MTs Negeri Ngablak Academic Year 2017/2018. The object of this study is the student's mistake in solving the problem description of the subject matter of the function. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques use test techniques and interview techniques. The test instrument is in the form of a description test of 5 questions. Of the five questions are declared valid and reliable. The result of the research shows that students of MTs Negeri Ngablak do average error of concept equal to 73,54% with high category, mean of procedural error equal to 30,08% with low category, and mean of computation error equal to 26,21% with category low. The most dominant type of error in the solution of the problems done by students of grade VIII B MTs Negeri Ngablak is a concept error with a percentage of 73.54%. Suggested to the teacher when solving the math problem must be complete and the teacher must provide instruction to the students that the importance in solving the problem to write the answers in accordance with the correct and proper procedures.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu kemahiran matematika yang diharapkan dapat tercapai dalam belajar matematika yaitu dengan menunjukkan pemahaman konsep matematika yang dipelajarinya, menjelaskan keterkaitan antar konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah. Pembelajaran dengan penemuan terbimbing dapat membimbing siswa untuk mengkonstruk dan memahami konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa modul pemahaman konsep berbasis metode penemuan terbimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Design Research tipe Development Study. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Yogykarta. Pada penelitian ini peneliti pada tahapan desain produk atau prototype awal untuk selanjutkan akan dilanjutkan penelitian pada tahap expert, small group dan field test. Â
