Abstract

The diversity of student characteristics is one factor in the difference in errors in solving transformation geometry problems. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the types of errors in solving geometric transformation problems made by prospective mathematics students based on their learning styles. The errors investigated were based on the criteria of the Kastolan procedure which consisted of conceptual errors, procedural errors and technical errors. The research method used is a qualitative method. The subjects used in the study consisted of three students with the most errors for each category of learning style. The data collection technique was performed using test and interview instruments. The results of the study showed that there were two types of errors made by student teachers with visual learning styles, namely conceptual errors and procedural errors. Prospective teachers with auditory learning styles have three types of errors, namely conceptual errors, procedural errors, and technical errors. Prospective student teachers with kinesthetic learning styles have two types of errors, namely conceptual errors and procedural errors. Based on the research results, it is recommended that additional research be conducted to identify the factors behind the similarity of the types of errors made by candidate student teachers with visual learning styles and styles. kinesthetic learning.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were students of class X Fashion Design 2 SMK Negeri 2 Temanggung in 2019/2020, totaling 36 students consisting of 36 female students and 0 male students. The instruments used in this study were test instruments and non-test instruments. The non-test instruments consist of observation sheets, field notes and documentation. The data collection technique was done by using test techniques and non-test techniques. Analysis and data processing using quantitative techniques and qualitative techniques. The research was carried out in two cycles with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The average individual test score increased from 61.53 in cycle 1 to 88.15 in cycle 2. Completeness of classical learning also increased by 66.7% from 33.3% to 100%. The research results have been able to answer the problem formulation, achieve research objectives and prove the research hypothesis, namely the use of Problem Based Learning can improve learning outcomes on Trigonometry material.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that plays an important role in aspects of life, therefore mathematics lessons are given to students at every level of education so that they are able to master mathematical skills. One of the most important abilities in learning mathematics is the ability to fluency in procedures. This study aims to analyze students' procedural fluency in solving linear program questions in class XI SMA Bidayatul Hidayah. This research uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The research instrument used was in the form of test sheets and interview guidelines. The results showed that students who have high mathematical procedural skills are as many as one student because they meet the three indicators used in this study, while as many as two students only meet the second indicator of students' mathematical procedural fluency skills, besides that the other two students have fluency skills. low mathematical procedural because it does not meet all the indicators used in study.

Abstract

The learning media was selected by elementary school teachers in online learning was one that students access easily. Some elementary school teachers used WhatsApp in online learning. But it turns out there were some students who were having trouble accessing WhatssApp. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning media was chosen by teacher in online learning mathematics activities of 2nd grade students MI Tahfidz El Muna Q. The design of this study was a qualitative. The study population was a mathematics teacher of 2nd grade at MI Tahfidz El Muna Q. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and interviews. The result showed that the learning media was chosen by the teacher were using the application WhatsApp, with the features video, voice note, and video call.

Abstract

Students have commitment to important tasks as a form of responsibility for themselves to be able to complete all assigments despite difficulties. The existence of a commitment to the task will be an independent learning experience to measure the extent to which students understand the material that has been learned. This study aims to describe commitment to tasks in learning mathematics. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class VIII-3 at SMP Negeri 1 Rancabungur. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used a questionnaire based on the commitment indicator on the task as many as 32 items. The results showed that the overall percentage was 42%, meaning that almost half of the students were committed to the task. The percentage obtained is still at a low point (<50)so that efforts are needed to increase commitment to the task so that students can create a sense of learning and practice to achieve good learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' HOTS abilities on trigonometric material based on learning styles. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were 34 students of class XI MIPA 2 in MAN 2 Magelang. The instrument used was a test instrument. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. HOTS ability of students in learning styles is divergent, the subject can analyze and evaluate indicators but the subject has not been able to create indicators. HOTS ability of students learning style assimilation, the subject can evaluate indicators but not yet able to analyze and create indicators. HOTS ability of students in convergent learning styles, the subject can analyze and evaluate indicators but not yet able to analyze indicators. HOTS ability of students in the learning style of accommodation, the subject can analyze and evaluate indicators but not yet able to create indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to develop YouTube in the form of video as independent study material on one variabel linear inequality and determine its feasibility. The method used in this research is a research and development method with the ADDIE development model through 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pandak with 26 students as the subject of class VII E. Data collection techniques used student response questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The result of this research is a mathematics learning video product that is presented through YouTube under the account name "Cinta Matematika Kuy". Assessments from media experts and material experts show that the development of YouTube as an independent learning material falls into the very valid category with an average value of 4.57. The results of the correlation between the student response questionnaire and the learning outcome test also showed a very strong relationship. Thus, the YouTube video developed was feasible to use.

Abstract

Solving Mathematical issue is a crucial skill that students must acquire to solve mathematical problems. This study aimed to describe students' skills on solving mathematical issues on mathematic set. This study employed a descriptive qualitative design. The subjects of this study were 30 first-grade students of 1 Lebaksiu Junior High School during the 2020/2021 academic year who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. This research employed tests, interviews, and documentation to colled data. The instrument aimed to discover 2 item description questions regarding the problem-solving ability of the set material with indicators of mathematical problem solving based on Polya's theory, namely: 1) understanding the problem 2) planning the solution 3) solving the problem according to the plan 4) checking the procedure and the results of the solution. To analyze the data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing was employed.

Abstract

Batik is a world cultural heritage owned by Indonesia. In Krebet village, Sendangsari, Pajangan, Bantul, Batik is painted on wood or known as wooden batik. This wooden batik decorates household appliances. Wooden batik of Krebet has not been maximally utilized in learning science, especially mathematics. Even though there are many mathematical concepts contained in it. This study aims to explore mathematical concepts in wooden batik, especially geometric materials. In this study, researchers used exploratory research with an ethnographic approach. The instrument in this research is the human instrument, where the researcher is directly related to the research and acts as a data collector through observation, library data collection, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out by domain and taxonomic analysis. The results showed that wooden batik of Krebet contains geometric concepts including the concepts of lines and angles, rectangles and triangles, circles, solid geometry, congruence, and geometric transformation

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of learning mathematics using the TPS Learning Model (Think Pair Share) equipped with teachings, compassion, fostering in increasing motivation and learning achievement of mathematics in class VIII A students of SMP N 2 Banguntapan. This research is a kind of class action research (CAR) which is conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Banguntapan. Academic Year 2019/2020, the number of students is 30 students. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out with observation techniques, test techniques, and documentation techniques. The results showed the average percentage of students' motivation achievement from pre-cycle of 58.33% increased to 66.11% in the first cycle and 82.78% in the second cycle. While students' mathematics learning achievement can be seen from the average initial ability score of 63.83 to 75.67 in the first cycle and increased to 82.07 in the second cycle.
