Abstract

Lamp replacement is a work activity that is carried out manually using a chair or using a lamp replacement tool. The tool used to replace the lamp is deemed ineffective, which can lead to musculoskeletal complaints. Therefore it is necessary to redesign the replacement lamp to suit the needs of the user. The product proposed for lamp replacement design will be compared with existing tools to measure the level of work speed and stress. The analysis used to measure the level of work speed and stress is the Quick Exposure Check (QEC). The results showed that the percentage of exposure level for the old lamp replacement tool was 41% -59% so that further investigation was needed by redesigning the lamp replacement tool. Thus the use of replacement tools for old lamps when used is ineffective. The exposure level for a new lamp replacement is in the range of 20% -35%, meaning that it is accepted and recommended for use. In this case, the proposed lamp replacement tool is quite effective to use.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive industrial competition makes companies from all sectors around the world change the system to be more efficient and effective. One of the efforts to improve the company is by implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Lately, many large companies are implementing Auto-ID (automatic identification) technology to solve existing problems. The types of Auto-ID technology that are often used are barcode, RFID and QR code technology. PT AKG is a manufacturing company that produces and markets plastic finished materials to serve the needs of other companies has not yet implemented WMS, this causes human error due to the process still manual. This research proposed to find the best warehouse management system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for PT. AKG. Alternative systems in this study are barcode, RFID, and QR code with the criteria used are cost, fuctionality, performance, and sustainability. Based on the results, the system chosen is the QR code with a score of 0.578084. QR codes can make it easier for operators and PPIC department staff to take notes and minimize recording errors. Recording that originally used Microsoft Excel and paper as a tool is no longer needed because operators only need to scan using a smartphone that is connected to the company's warehouse management system.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a solving model for the single trucks routing-and-scheduling problems to islands with variations in ferry schedules. In this problem, the travel time is asymmetric and the truck routing is based on the sequence of island visits, known and unknown. The models are developed using an integer programming approach. Integer non-linear programming is formulated to solve problems where the sequence is unknown, whereas integer linear programming for the sequence is known. Besides, a delivery day scenario is built to determine the optimal route and schedule with minimum total travel time on each departure day. Numerical experiments were carried out on the case of a small distribution of a small industry in Central Moluccas, Indonesia. The results showed that the model developed could provide solutions to solve problems.

Abstract

Family Sport Clothing convection is Mr. Raharjo’s family business in textile industry which produces training pants, made of lotto fabric. The company only has one criterion in supplier selection process, and in this convection is the cost. In this convection, problems that usually occur in selecting the supplier of raw materials are the production process is delayed since the raw materials are not enough; the quality of the raw materials does not meet the company standards; and supplier that does not deliver on time. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the criteria used in selecting supplier and determining the ranking or the best supplier priority. The researcher implemented AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method by distributing questionnaires to the owners of convection, and TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) by measuring the shortest distance between positive ideal solutions and the longest distance with negative ideal solutions. The criteria were adopted from previous researches, and processed by using Pareto diagrams. Based on the results of calculations using Pareto diagram, the criteria used in this study are quality, cost, service, delivery, feasibility, and capacity. Based on the results of calculation using AHP method, the order of the most prioritized criteria is: quality (0.37), cost (0.29), capacity (0.13), feasibility (0.12), delivery process, (0.07,) and service (0.03). In addition, the priority order of the suppliers based on TOPSIS is: Libeng Kiantana (0.45), Yudi Hartono (0.23), Abdul Ghofur (0.23), Panorama Shop (0.06) and Indigenous Face Shop (0.02).
