Abstract

This research heads for (1) knowing the influences of the packaging to the consumerbuying decision (2) to know influence of the pricing to the consumer buyingdecision. Abstract

Leadership is essentially the ability of a person to build, lead, direct and mobilize others to work together to achieve the goals set. To realize these goals, a leader needs to do a series of activities including directing the people involved in the organization he leads. In other words, the purpose is achieved or not an organization is dependent on leadership.Managerial grille developed by Robert Blake and Jane Mouton is one of leadership style theories regarding the orientation of the manager on duty (production) and employees (people), and a combination of the two. This grid illustrates how attentive leader on duty and in humans thus creating a style of management and leadership. There are five basic leadership styles which include style conqueror (impoverished style), leader style mid (middle-of-the-road style), the style of the team (team style), relaxed style (country club style) and work style (task style).Leadership style has many theories put forward by experts in the fieldhuman resources, but researchers interested in studying the style of leadership based on the theory of grille managerial Blake and Mouton at PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk Medan and SUMUT Daily Post. The reason is because of the five leadership styles that can be applied by the company, as stated above. Researchers want to know what the leadership style that is applied to both the company's five leadership styles that are owned as well as to determine whether there are differences in leadership styles are applied from both companies are based on the theory of grille managerial.This research uses descriptive exploratory method by distributing questionnaires to employees to identify leadership styles and the differences in the two companies studied.Keywords : grille managerial, leadership, leadership style

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis klasifikasi pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi, menganalisis pergeseran sektor dan mengidentifikasi sektor-sektor unggulan di Kabupaten Karo. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Tipologi Klassen, Pertanyaan Loqasi dan Shift Share. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan, penyediaan sektor makanan dan pasokan pangan, sektor pemerintahan, pertahanan wajib dan jaminan sosial, sektor layanan pendidikan, sektor jasa kesehatan dan kegiatan sosial dan sektor jasa lainnya adalah yang terdepan. sektor Kabupaten Karo dan sektor industri. pengolahan, sektor perdagangan besar dan eceran, perbaikan mobil dan sepeda motor, sektor jasa keuangan dan asuransi, sektor administrasi pemerintah, pertahanan wajib dan jaminan sosial, sektor jasa pendidikan, sektor jasa kesehatan dan kegiatan sosial dan sektor jasa lainnya adalah sektor ekonomi yang memiliki tingkat daya saing dibandingkan dengan sektor lain.

Abstract

XYZ Group in running business have been several problems that is in the  marketing of products not yet doing activity promotions, weakening the number of requests, well as the quality of a product produced less good. This research aims to obtain the weighting of every factor which are under consideration, to know the position of the company, and provide suggestions for marketing strategies that can did be company. The see problems happen, we need marketing strategies by using the method Analytical Hie-rarchy Proses (AHP) and Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT). Based on weighting 7P using method AHP obtained product weight  as much as 12.44%, promotion of 17.90%, price of 9.93%, place of 15.82%, people of 15.63%, process of 13.45%, and physical evidence of 14, 83%. In matrix SWOT known kuadran-III the company are in a meeting between IFAS at the point -0,05 and EFAS at the point 0,49. It means , the company had a great opportunity that the market high, but still have obstacles where which is still using a simple production equipment. Alternative strategy that can be carried out is to ensure the quality of the product, increase production facilities, improve the distribution of the product, and make use of the printed media and sosial media for promotion activity

Abstract

Abstract            The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of adversity quotient on Employee Pe-formance Through Job Motivation as an intervening variable in the conventional taxi driver in Medan. The nature of this study was associative,and the type of this research was quantitative. A sample of this research are 253 conventional taxi driver in Medan. The data that has been collected through a valid and reliable questionnaire, then processed using Path analysis approach. Results of this study are (1) adversity quotient has positive effect and significant effect on the employee performance, (2) adversity quotient has positive and significant effect on job motivation, (3) Job motivation has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance, (4) Job motivation was not as a perfect mediation between adversity quotient and employee performance. .

Abstract

The  quality  of  academic  services  is  a  comparison  between  the  perceived  academic service  customers  or  stakeholders  with  the  quality  of  academic  services  that diharapkanpelanggan.  The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to  determine  how  the  level  of  student satisfaction on the performance of academic services at the University of the ocean, and identify as to whether the expectations of students as users of our services to academic services at the University of the ocean.The  population  in  this  study  were  all  students  of  both  the  semester  active  maaupun aajaraan  odd  year  2016-2017  as  users  of  services  from  academic  services,  which  the respondents of this activity drawn from five faculties at the University of the ocean environment. Side technique used is proportional stratified random sampling which classifies the populationconsists of five faculties. The method used is the gap analysis that compares the perceptions of respondents mahasiswaa expectations with reality.From  the  results  of  the  study  shows  that,  for  services  such  as  facilities  and  media university  lectures  and  attitude  of  staff  behavior  akademikberdasarkan  student  perceptions require improved performance. While factors  -  other factors such as library facilities, attitudes and behavior of faculty, administrative staff and library responsiveness, competence of lecturers and administrative staff, is perceived quite well by studentsKeywords : service quality, Gap Analysis

Abstract

The rapidly changing world environment requires companies to adjust to existing conditions. Environmental changes that occur include technology, information systems, economic and political causes of the emergence of new regulations and derivatives so that industry and industry players in the implementation can run well. One telecommunication company in Indonesia in maintaining revenue and profit growth improves employee capability and application of new corporate culture in realizing competitiveness. A vision and mission change with complete comprehensive transformation with a strategy embodied in employee-driven programs based on company values. The company in transformation years periode from 2011 until 2016 hold engagement survey with main result the majority of opinions like the changes that occur. Researcher use survey method questionnaires to gather information after reborn launched from Indosat Ooredoo employees as respondents that distributed to a level of staff, managers, division heads and group heads. Descriptive statistical analysis methodology is used to analyze information that has been collected. The results data analysis of the questionnaire showed that 7 (seven) variables assessing the improvement of employee capabilities and the application of the company's new culture in realizing competitiveness showed that the seven variables affected the level of security and comfort of employees and middle management.

Abstract

This research show about the use of internet as learning media to improving teaching competence at universities in Kota Medan. It is expains how the internet can be used as learning media on teaching and learning process when the class activities begin and improve teaching competence. The benefit of this research is expected to improve lecturer's teaching competence based on the theoretical study of information technology-based learning media by internet-based website used at universities in Kota Medan. This research is descriptive qualitative where it will reveal facts and circumstances that occur at the time of lecturing activities conducted lecturer subjects in the faculty of economics at the universities in Kota Medan. The population of this research consists of three universities in Kota Medan consist of Univesitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Universitas Negeri Medan and Universitas Harapan Medan with the object of research is the lecturer from the college which the population of 80 lecturers from 100 questionnaires that have been distributed. Based on the pedagogical results of the questionnaire of the teacher respondents, it was found that 83% of the teachers gave the teaching with good pedagogic results, while the competence for teachers for internet use as a learning media found that only 63% of 80 respondents who internet used as learning media.Keywords : Learning Media, Internet, Website, E-Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor determinan yang mempengaruhi minat kunjungan kembali wisatawan ke Wisata Bahari Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang dilihat  kondisi kualitas pelayanan, budaya masyarakat  dan pengaruhnya terhadap daya tarik wisata dan minat berkunjung kembali di daerah tersebut. Populasi penelitian ini ada wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara yang pernah berkunjung ke wisata Bahari Percut Sei Tuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kausal yaitu untuk melihat hubungan antar variabel dan faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kualitas pelayanan dan budaya masyarakat berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap daya tarik Wisata Bahari Percut Sei Tuan. Demikian juga daya tarik wisata berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat berkunjung kembali ke tempat wisata Bahari Percut Sei Tuan.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the competitive advantage of the group of culinary business through market orientation and product innovation. This study conducted at group of culinary business in Suka Maju Village, District of West Binjai, Binjai. 76 responses was collected using a closed questionnaire containing the respondents perception of market orientation, innovation, and competitive advantage with purposive sampling technique. Furthermore, the data was analysed using path analysis. The results show; (1) Market orientation have direct and positive impact on innovation of product; (2) Market orientation have direct and positive impact on competitive advantage; (3) Innovation have direct and positive impact on competitive advantage; and (4) Innovation can increase the effect of market orientation on competitive advantage.Keywords: competitive advantage, market orientation, product innovation.
