The internationalization program for higher education is a promising investment with a valuable return. However, it needs a huge budget. This research aims to analyze investment preferences of 13 internationalization program dimensions in Indonesian universities which aggressively encourage themselves to be a world-class university in the future. The novelty in this research is the usage of investment preference index in determining investment priorities in universities instead of common business entities. The quantitative approach was used by calculating the investment preference index. The research instrument used questionnaire with Likert Scale. Respondents were 190 people including students and lecturers. Based on the investment preference index, the number of international students in undergraduate program had to be the first focus in allocating the money for educational investment, followed by the number of international students in postgraduate program and student exchange program. Meanwhile, international links became the least aspect in educational investment preferences.

Abstract

This research aims to develop prepositions about entrepreneur performance in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Industry 4.0 through a theoretical study approach. This paper elaborates several findings from previous studies as references and explores the grounded theory of human resource development. A qualitative research method with literature studies was conducted to obtain research reference models in explaining the factors influencing the performance of entrepreneurs in the SMEs industry. This study also provides support for the development of factors in measuring performance and the variables that affect employers’ performance. This study suggests that work skills, digital literacy, and economic literacy are the crucial reference in the development of small and medium enterprises in the fourth industrial era. Small and medium enterprises training is a national program to improve welfare because it is an indicator of economic growth. However, there are very few performance evaluations and ongoing development programs.

Abstract

This study examinedthe effect of school accreditation, education budget, and teacher competence on the quality of high school graduates. The analysis method used was a panel regression through the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach, and the data were from 2017-2019. The results showed that school accreditation and education budgets had an effect on the quality of graduates. Also, the implication of this study is that schools need to increase accreditation, as well as the education budget. In terms of teacher competence, the teachers need to improve their competence by taking an active role in organizations, training teacher capacity, and mastery of information technology. Meanwhile, teacher competence has no effect on the quality of graduates in senior secondary schools. Simultaneously, all variables have a significant effect on the graduates quality. The limitation of this study is the data used, regardless of the status of private and public schools. Therefore, studies to compare private and public schools are of particular interest.
