Abstract

IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) as a disease of inflammation of chronic intestinal. The extraintestinal manifestation is predominantly in the form Pericholangitis, chronic cholitis or primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), which usually appear after a few years later from the pop-up cases of IBD with the incidence rate of 5%. Want to know the incidence rate of IBD and PSC in patients were undergoing colonoscopy at RSPAD GS since of March 1, 2016 until February 28, 2017. All patients were undergoing colonoscopy for one year included as a subject of research. Subjects sorted and selected on the findings of the colonoscopy as IBD and non-IBD. Data Cholitis chronic (KHK) is based on the findings of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and total bilirubin elevated serum and serum albumin divided into groups of KHK-IBD or PSC, KHK-non-IBD, Non-KHK-IBD and Non- KHK-non-IBD. Correlation between the PSC and the PSC with IBD were tested statistically by Fisher, materials taken retrospective descriptive. Data PSC and IBD patients as follows: The incidence rate of IBD and PSC are 18.6% and 5.4%; Correlation PSC with extraintestinal manifestation of IBD acceptable expectation (p = 0.000); demographic data of IBD (30 patients) with male 62.4% (18 people), mean age was 50.6 years and incidence between 40 - 59 years old.

Abstract

Turmeric is a spice plants that acts as an antibacterial, because it contains a variety of compounds including curcumin and essential oil. Essential oils can be used as an antibacterial because it contains hydroxyl and carbonyl functional group which is phenols derivative. Te phenol derivatives will interact with the bacterial cell wall, then absorbed and penetrated into the bacterial cell, causing precipitation and denaturation of proteins, the result will lyse the bacterial cell membrane, while the antibacterial activity of curcuminis by inhibiting bacterial cell proliferation. Turmeric has launched a pharmacological effect, lowering the fat content, asthma , hepatitis , anti- gall , anti- inflammatory , anti- diarrhea , and act as anti-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory. Turmeric has antibacterial properties of curcumin and essential oil that is capable of inhibiting the growth of bacteria that causes diarrhea and Shigelladysenteriae Bacillus sp. Tis study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of turmeric extract on the growth of Bacillus sp and Shigella dysenteriae, with various concentrations of 15%, 30%, 50%, 75%, and 100% by the well diffusion method. Abstract

Diarrhea is still one of the world’s major health problem especially in developing country. Foods and beverages contaminated by microorganism become the risk factor of diarrhea, including Escherichia coli (E. coli). One of the curative effort that can be done is to utilise the secondary metabolite compounds contained in binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis). This study used true experimental method. The sample was binahong leaf extract with concentration of 25%, 50, and 75% using diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer) on doublelayered Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA) (base layer and seed layer) in order to measure the growth inhibition zone around the cylinder plate. The amount of population on this study was 24 isolations of E. coli. The repetition of each treatment group was counted by Federer formula. The result analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis test and showed that there was difference on binahong leaf extract effectiveness (p < 0,05), as well as on post hoc analysis using MannWhitney test showed that there was significant difference at concentration of 25%,50%, and 75%. (p < 0,001). This shows that there is a significant differences in the concentration of binahong leaf extract.

Abstract

Hypertension has been known as risk factor of cardiovascular diseases necessitating the good control of blood pressure. The evident also shows the increased number of uncontrolled hypertensive patients. This study aimed to identify the determinants of controlled blood pressure in primary health centre hypertensive patients. The benefits of this research is to educated to public about factors that influence hypertension controlled. This research lasted for five months was conducted through patient interview of respondents meeting inclusion criteria in three primary health centres/PHC (PHC Menteng, PHC Tanah Abang, and PHC Johar Baru). Some data of the interview were validated by reviewing patient’s medical record. There were 26 factors used to analyse the determinants which included sociodemographic, biophysiology, dietary consumption patterns, use of hormonal contraceptives, physical activity, and stress). The result of multivariate regression analysis revealed two significant determinants, namely the presence of cardiovascular diseases (odd ratio/OR = 0,091, P-value = 0,004) and physical activity (OR = 10,647, P-value = 0,002). Patients with history of cardiovascular disease had 10,99 times risk to experience uncontrolled hypertension compared with those with no history of the disease. In addition, patients with routine physical activity at least 5 days/week (150 minutes/week) were 10,647 times to have controlled blood pressured as opposed to their counterpants.

Abstract

According to the recapitulation of the utilization of Community Health Center inpatient services in Depok in 2016-2018, it was very low. The results of an initial survey in October 2018 conducted by Community Heath Center  researchers who only served inpatients in only 3 districts, while 1 sub-district had not served general inpatients since one year ago. Of the three sub-districts, only 1 sub-district has inpatients, while others sometimes do not have an in-patient visit within one month. Sukmajaya Community Health Center was appointed to serve general inpatient care, basic neonatal obstetric services and care for malnourished children. Because of the low number of inpatient visits in the city of Depok, the researchers were interested in knowing the strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunities and threats of the Sukmajaya Community Health Center. This study used a qualitative method conducted in February 2020 with in-depth interviews using interview guidelines and voice recording devices. Interviews were conducted with the Head of the Community Health  Center, Head of Administration, Responsible for Inpatients, Doctors and Nurses. As a result, Sukmajaya Community Health Center was unable to compete with Private Hospitals because private hospitals had better health personnel and infrastructure than Sukmajaya Community Health Center. Besides that, the number of private hospitals in the city of Depok is large and the location is easy to reach, so people prefer hospitals with more convenient facilities.

Abstract

The incidence and prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients in Indonesia is increasing every year. In the promotion of health promotion and prevention efforts, data related to risk factors and cost analysis are needed from the perspective of patients and / or families related to CKD treatment that requires replacement therapy for kidney function (Hemodialysis / HD). CKD patients undergo HD therapy generally twice a week, making it a relatively large burden on them. This study aims to determine the risk factors for CKD in hemodialysis patients at Bhayangkara Hospital Tk. I R. Said Sukanto and the impact of the cost of HD therapy from a household perspective. In an observational study with this case control method. Primary data was taken through interviews using a structured questionnaire with 100 HD patients (cases) and 100 patients from other poly (control), cross sectional. Risk factor analysis was carried out by logistic regression (p <0.05) and cost analysis using the accounting method. The results showed that in terms of socio-demography, ages above 40-49 years had a risk of 32.7 times and ≥ 50 years had a risk of 17.9 times having CKD compared to <30 years of age with an education level ≤ SD-SMA at risk 16.9 times affected by CKD from the academy / university group, and the income of Rp. 2,000,000 - Rp. 4,000,000 has a risk of 8.4 times being affected by CKD from income groups> Rp. 6,000,000. In terms of biophysiology, hypertension, diabetes and anemia had a risk of 516 times, 54 times and 272 times the effect of CKD. The habit of consuming Chinese and Western herbs increases the risk of developing CKD up to 10.9 times. The cost of the household perspective issued by the patient includes a meal cost of Rp360,000, transportation costs Rp.320,000 and drugs and multivitamins Rp250,000. The potential loss of productivity reaches Rp1,241,904 per patient per month.

Abstract

Larval stage control using temephos, a chemical larvicide powder, was not completely safe. WHO recommended to use biological controls. Jackfruit leaves which contain saponins, flavonoids, and tannins can be used as alternate. This study was conducted to determine the effectivity of jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) infusion on the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae using post test only control group design. 600 of Aedes aegypti larvae were divided into 1 control group and 5 experiment groups that consist  jackfruit leaves infusion concentrations of 4%, 8%, 12%, 16%, 20% with four times replication. The mortality of larvae was observed every 8 hours to 48 hours. The LC50 and LT50 were obtained by probit analysis were 3.842% and 2.150 hours. In the repeated Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney, there were significant differences (p<0.05) in the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae that died based on differences in the concentration of jackfruit leaf infusion. In the Spearman test, there were significant correlations (p<0.05) between the concentration of jackfruit leaves infusion and the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae and the death rate of Aedes aegypti larvae. The results of the study are expected to be alternatives to chemical larvicides commonly used by the community.
