<![CDATA[This study deals with the teaching of reading skills and its difficulty in the high school Air Bangis in West Pasaman. The research methodology in this study is qualitative field research in analytical type. The problems in the process of teaching reading skills in the government high school Air Bangis in West Pasaman, the teacher lack of interest in the use of teaching aids to achieve the desired goals in the teaching of reading, and do not have exercises to develop the skill of reading for students, but exercises in the textbook. And the lack of interest of the teacher to defend students in the teaching of the Arabic language. In the process of teaching reading skills, the difficulties in terms of pupils, including: teams of intelligence, and lack of tendencies of some students in teaching, and the background of their upbringing. And their difficulties in terms of teachers of the Arabic language, including lack of interest in the use of the various educational method, lack of resources on the teaching of modern Arabic. These comprehensive problems need treatment, it is the teacher's interest in the teaching curriculum, and the teacher to design teaching in the teaching of reading skills in this school.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to find out the forms of grammatical interference that occur in graduate students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Interference is a language disorder that often occurs for language learners. Interference often occurs in all four language skills included in writing skills. Without realizing it, in writing scientific works students still often experience the first language interference, especially in the grammatical field. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive research type. The results found in this study indicate that the grammatical interference still occurs in the writing of graduate students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Researchers found 11 grammatical interference with details, 1 interference in the use of isim maushul, 5 interferences in making idahafah, 4 interferences in the use of fi’il (morphology), and 1 interference in the use of hurf.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper aims to explore an Intensive Course Program in Arabic learning at one of the Islamic Boarding schools for girls in Indonesia. it is expected that Students in this Intensive Course understand two skills in Arabic, namely speaking and reading skills. Also, it aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Intensive Course Program. This study utilized a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques; observation, interviews, and documentation. It used Miles and Huberman’s technique in analyzing the data. This study showed that: 1) Implementation of Intensive Course Program in Arabic learning at the one of Islamic Boarding Schools for girls in Indonesia aimed to improve language skill including reading and deductive skill including speaking. 2) Pertinent to the strengths and weaknesses of the Intensive Course, the learning system is advantagous to enhance other specific skills, ranging from students’ proficiencies in reading and speaking in Arabic. However, there are also drawbacks. For example, an excellent Arabic environment has not been created due to the lack of students’ awareness of making them accustomed to speaking Arabic.]]>

Constitute Arabic as the language of the Qur'an as the language of scripture, then expand and spread almost to all regions and countries in this world as the development of Islam to various regions including Minangkabau. History also proves that Arabic has a very big influence in the development of vocabulary in Minangkabau language. Therefore, this paper tries to trace the Arabic vocabulary that goes into Minangkabau. <![CDATA[Learning Arabic through one of the theories of second language acquisition has a positive and effective contribution in achieving supported skills. Vygotsky's socio-cultural theory is one of the theories of language acquisition that has great urgency in supporting one's abilities. This theory emphasizes that learning is not only an individual process but also as a social interaction process under the supervision and guidance of teachers. Vygotsky's sociocultural theory is one of the language learning theories recommended by linguists and psycholinguistics to be applied in the learning process especially in speaking skills learning. The aims are to improve the proficiency and accuracy of students who have different background knowledge in using Arabic. This study aims to find out how the process of speaking skills learning based on Vygotsky's socio-cultural theory and the steps and its application in the speaking skills learning process. This study uses a library approach or library research where data sources are taken from the theories in the literature. <![CDATA[There are some objectives on discussion of Irab concept in Ibrahim Mustafa and Ibrahim Anis perspectives. The mehod used in this research was Descriptive Analysis. In his book, Ihya al-Nahwi Ibrahim Mustafa explains that there are only two Irab; Dhammah and Kasrah. Dhammah functions as subject (Isnad), meanwhile Kasrah functions as majmu ( idhafah). He rejected fathah as irab because it is only lines which is seldom communicated by Arabians, and it doesnt infuence meaning for communication. On the contrary, irab concept as stated by Ibrahim Anis who declined that there were funtions of irab neither rules nor meaning. The findings of this reserch that irab concept stated by Ibrahim Mustafa and Ibrahim Anis was contrast. Irab concept used by Ibrahim is simillar to Ibnu Mada al-Qurtubi on which the changing of irab was caused of amil (actor) as it was used by experts of Nahwu traditionally. However, irab concept used by Ibrahim Anis rather the same as the thoughts of Nahwu Qutrub which is extremely used irab in ditermining a meaning. Then Ibrahim Anis view that the function of irab was result the experts of Nahwu.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to critic the concepts of classical and modern Arabic linguists about sentences which they term differently including: number, kalam, tarkib (sentence, phrase). Their differences are inseparable from polemics, especially in providing boundaries and terms used, both in the classical and modern eras. For example the polemic on the use of terminology and the number and meaning of both, whether synonymous or not, which then affects the elements that build it. This study uses a literature study (library research) with content analysis and hermeneutic approaches. This research found that basically the differences in Arabic experts both in the classical and modern eras were not substantive, but rather as editorial debates, technical terminology, and partial.The old grammarian tended to be complicated in providing a definition of sentence compared to contemporary Islamic scholar, Â it was easier to explain about this sentence.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the validity of Maharatul Qira'ah learning model design by utilizing Edmodo e-learning application, and to describe the learning model and its impact on student participation. The rapid development of ICT is influencing the Arabic learning model at PBA UIN IB Padang which is still using the classical model, and the participation of students is still lacking. Here, the innovation of the classical learning model toward online-based learning needs to be done, such as by utilizing Edmodo e-learning application. This research used the ADDIE step model. The research subjects consisted of 32 students and 5 lecturers of PBA. This study used valid instruments. Based on the data analysis, the validity of the design of the teaching materials presented in the Edmodo e-learning has met the very valid criteria, with a score of 83.59. The e-learning model developed was a blended learning with complement functions in the form of synchronous and asynchronous communication. This e-learning had been able to increase student participation by 81,25%. This study recommends further researchers to use Edmodo e-learning application in teaching various language skills in a fully integrated online model.]]>

<![CDATA[The study of language pathology has been going on longer and developing with the development of language studies, the problems encountered in learning speaking skills are often related to speech skills which sometimes enter the language pathology area which requires educator knowledge especially the interference of Arabic learners. This study aims to analyze speech problems and language in the classical study represented by Al-Jahiz seen through the perspective of modern linguistics. This study uses a qualitative approach with library data sources, descriptive analysis is done by reading the content and analyzed. The results showed that Al-Jahiz's views were divided into speech disorders and language disorders; lusghah, luknah, lahn and ayy. Jahiz saw lahn as the worst speech disorder, and he assumed that in lahn is not only caused by articulation factors and motor aphasia but can also be driven by personal factors to replace sounds that are difficult to pronounce with light sounds.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to develop Arabic teaching materials with a communicative approach for MA Muhammadiyah Curup students by analyzing the needs and validation / feasibility of Arabic teaching materials with the communicative approach according to experts' assessments. Researchers develop teaching materials based on this communicative approach aimed at improving students' ability in mastering Arabic which is not only theoretical but also practical and communicative. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Likert scale is used for questionnaires and qualitative data analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, and verification. The results showed that Arabic teaching materials that have been used are not yet relevant to the needs of students and have not maximally improved students' Arabic speaking skills. The development of Arabic language teaching materials compiled is based on the results of planning and design development with three themes namely Al-Bayanaats Ash-Syakhshiyyah, Al-Hayah fil Usrah, and Al-Murafiq Al-mmAmmah fil Madrasah. This Arabic module has 28 pages. The average value of the validator for the initial design of this Arabic teaching material module is 22.87 with a very good category.]]>
