Abstract

Badminton has some types of stroke, including offensive and defensive stroke in match. The purpose of this study was to know the characteristics of badminton game in male single and female single based on types of stroke that score points. The method used in the study was descriptive method with percentage techniques. All types of stroke scoring points were recorded. The result showed that the highest points produced by unforced errors opponent. The conclusion of this study was the player who commited less unforced errors had a great chance to win the match.  AbstractBadminton has some types of stroke, including offensive and defensive stroke in match. Abstract

The As a developing country with various backgrounds, Indonesia is facing a double burden malnutrition problem, underweight and overweight, in all range of age. Besides focusing on malnutrition as one of unfinished business of the MDGs,  overweight or well-known as obesity is one of the risk factors of chronic diseases such as Diabetes and  Hypertension  which mentioned in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the causes of obesity is the unbalance between diet and physical activity. Obesity can be classified based on body mass index, waist circumference, and the ratio of waist/hip circumference.  Waist circumference is needed to classify central obesity.  The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between physical activity and waist circumference. This study was performed using crossectional design towards resident of Cijulang sub-district of Pangandaran, West Java. Data were obtained using a GPAQ and additional questionnaire by interview method. The result of the analysis of the data using the gamma test indicated that there is a significant correlation between physical activity and waist circumference (p0   ,0001) with a moderate correlation coeffi cient (r=0,444). This suggests that h igher physical activity was significantly associated with normal waist circumference (80 cm female and 90 cm male).  AbstrakSebagai negara berkembang dengan latar belakang penduduk yang  sangat beragam, Indonesia menghadapi tantangan double burden of   nutrition yaitu permasalahan underweight dan overweight pada hampir semua usia. Selain perlu terus memberikan perhatian yang memadai terhadap penanganan isu kekurangan gizi (malnutrition) yang juga merupakan salah satu unfinished business of the MDGs, overweight atau lebih sering dikenal dengan obesitas merupakan faktor resiko penyakit kronis seperti diabetes dan hipertensi. termasuk di dalam kerangka pembicaraan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Salah satu penyebab obesitas adalah tidak seimbangnya asupan makanan dengan aktivitas fisik.  Obesitas dapat diklasifikasikan berdasarkan index masa tubuh, lingkar pinggang, dan rasio lingkar pinggang/pinggul. Khususnya untuk obesitas sentral dibutuhkan pengukuran lingkar pinggang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan lingkar pinggang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian potong lintang pada masyarakat Kecamatan Cijulang Pangandaran Jawa Barat. Data diperoleh menggunakan kuisoner GPAQ dan tambahan lain dengan metode wawancara. Hasil analisis korelasi menggunakan uji gamma antara aktivitas fisik dengan lingkar pinggang menunjukan nilai signifikan (p 0.0001) dengan nilai korelasi (r=0,444) sedang. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingginya tingkat aktivitas fisik berbanding lurus dengan lingkar pinggang normal (80cm pada wanita dan 90cm pada pria).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of recovery techniques to decrease the fatigue level of soccer athletes. This study participated 24 football players that age 15.54 ± 2.2 years old and weight 55.25 ± 10.92 kg. Participants were randomly selected into 4 groups, control, active recovery, massage, and combined recovery group. The object of the study as an indicator of fatigue level is the fatigue index and lactate levels in blood that measured before and after recovery. The results showed active recovery, massage and combined recovery can decrease the fatigue index (p 0.05). The decrease in lactate levels occurred in active recovery and combined recovery (p 0.05), whereas the massage can’t decrease lactate levels (p 0,05). Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded active recovery and combined recovery decrease fatigue level in football players effectively.AbstrakTujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan efektifitas teknik recovery untuk menurunkan tingkat kelelahan atlet sepak bola. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain sepak bola yang berumur 15,54 ± 2,2 tahun dan memiliki berat badan 55,25 ± 10,92 kg sebanyak 24 orang. Sampel dipilih secara acak lalu dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, kelompok recovery aktif, kelompok massase dan kelompok recovery gabungan (massase dan jogging), dengan jumlah sampel tiap kelompok sebanyak 6 orang. Objek penelitian sebagai indikator tingkat kelelahan adalah indeks kelelahan dan kadar asam laktat dalam darah yang masing-masing diukur sebelum dan setelah melakukan recovery. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan recovery aktif, massase maupun recovery gabungan dapat menurunkan  indeks kelelahan (p 0,05). Penurunan kadar asam laktat terjadi recovery aktif dan recovery gabungan (p 0,05), sedangkan kelompok massase tidak terjadi penurunan kadar asam laktat yang berarti (p 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa recovery aktif dan recovery gabungan efektif untuk menurunkan tingkat kelelahan pada atlet sepak bola.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between physical fitness, concentration ability, and cortisol response as biomolecular markers in students whether they were under pressure or not. The method used in this study is an ex-post facto study for about ± 20 (twenty) months. The respondents were collected randomly based on geographic location, highland and lowland areas of various city districts in West Java province. The research subjects were 339 students, 151 male and 137 female students from grades 4, 5, and 6. The results showed that there is a positive correlation and a significant contribution between physical fitness and concentration ability in students from the highlands area; there is no correlation and contribution between physical fitness with the ability to concentrate in students from the lowlands area; there is a negative correlation and a significant contribution between physical fitness and cortisol response in students from the highlands area; there is a negative correlation and a significant contribution between physical fitness and cortisol response in the students from he lowlands area.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebugaran jasmani dengan kemampuan konsentrasi dan respon kortisol sebagai penanda biomolekuler pada siswa apakah mengalami tekanan atau tidak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi expost facto, dengan rentang waktu ± 20 (duapuluh) bulan. Pengambilan data secara acak berdasarkan letak geografis atau wilayah dataran tinggi dan dataran rendah berbagai wilayah kabupaten kota yang berada di provinsi Jawa Barat. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas 4, 5 dan 6 dengan total jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 339 siswa, laki-laki 151 orang dan perempuan 137 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat korelasi positif dan kontribusi yang signifikan antara kebugaran jasmani dengan kemampuan konsentrasi di daerah dataran tinggi; tidak terdapat korelasi dan kontribusi antara kebugaran jasmani dengan kemampuan konsentrasi pada daerah dataran rendah; terdapat korelasi negatif dan kontribusi yang signifikan antara kebugaran jasmani dengan respon kortisol di daerah dataran tinggi; terdapat korelasi negatif dan kontribusi yang signifikan antara kebugaran jasmani dengan respon kortisol di daerah dataran rendah.

Abstract

Athlete achievement can be achieved through the role of trainers in determining the program and the training process. During the training process, the coach has a role as a leader and a decision maker. The right leadership and decision-making of a coach will produce talented athletes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of leadership and decision making from the trainer on the performance of athletes. The research used survey and interview method, with cross sectional survey design. This study used a sample of trainers. Sampling is done by purposive method. The sample used amounted to 53 people. The research instrument used questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using variance analysis. The process of calculation using SPSS version 17. Leadership and decision-making is very important in order to improve athletes achievement.AbstrakPrestasi atlet dapat diraih melalui peran pelatih dalam menentukan program dan proses pelatihannya. Selama proses pelatihan, pelatih memiliki peran sebagai pemimpin dan pengambil keputusan. Kepemimpinan dan pengambilan keputusan yang tepat dari seorang pelatih akan mencetak atlet yang berprestasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak kepemimpinan dan pengambilan keputusan dari pelatih terhadap prestasi atlet. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dan wawancara, dengan desain cross sectional survey. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel para pelatih. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 53 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi. Proses penghitungannya menggunakan SPSS versi 17. Kepemimpinan dan pembuatan keputusan merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam rangka meningkatkan prestasi atlet.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to test the effectiveness of TPSR and PBL in physical education to increase student’s personal and social responsibility. This is quasi experimental research with pretest posttest control group design, Sample of this research were senior high school as many as 122 student’s. The instrument used was an adaptation of Tool for Assessing Responsibility-Based Education (TARE) Observation, while the data analysis using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results showed there was significant effect of hybridizing TPSR and PBL in enhancing student’s personal and social responsibility. Hybridizing TPSR and PBL is effective to increase student’s personal and social responsibility in physical education. Next, more in-depth research is required by involving a random sampling with larger sample size or by using another scientific learning approach such as inquiry or project based learning.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas hibridasi program  TPSR dan PBL dalam pendidikan jasmani untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab personal dan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental dengan desain pretest posttest control group, Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA sebanyak 122 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah adaptasi Tool for Assessing Responsibility Based Education (TARE), sedangkan analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari hibridisasi TPSR dan PBL dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab personal dan sosial siswa. Hibridisasi TPSR dan PBL  dalam pendidikan jasmnai efektif untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab personal dan sosial siswa. Diperlukan penelitian yang lebih mendalam dengan melibatkan sampling acak dan ukuran sampel yang lebih besar atau dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran ilmiah lain seperti inquiry learning atau project based learning

Abstract

This research was conducted to design and build a shuttlecock launcher using local materials and components. The shuttlecock launcher was constructed by taking advantage of the various scientific skills of human resources at Institut Teknologi Bandung. The research focused on the design and construction of shuttlecock launcher as a training aid for badminton trainers. The advantages of this device are: 1. able to shoot shuttlecock with high accuracy; 2. able to shoot shuttlecock at the maximum speed of 150 km/h; 3. having total mass of the structure of less than 20 kg; 4. low production cost; 5. having feeding speed of one shuttlecock per two seconds.This device was constructed in the research group (KK) of  Sport Sciences Laboratory of the School of Farmacy and Machinery and Aeronautics Faculty Laboratory at ITB while the experiment was conducted in Badminton Arena, GSG ITB. The research started from September to November 2011. The subjects of this research were the materials and other components related to the design and construction of the device in accordance to physical and mechanical work system. From this research, it can be concluded that of this shuttlecock launcher results  high feeding and lunching speed that meets the criteria needed. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membuat shuttlecock launcher dengan bahan-bahan (material) dan komponen lokal. Shuttlecock launcher dibuat dengan memberdayakan kemampuan SDM dari berbagai disiplin ilmu yang ada di Institut Teknologi Bandung. Ruang lingkup penelitian ini terfokus pada perancangan dan pembuatan shuttlecock launcher untuk memenuhi kebutuhan alat bantu palatihan bulutangkis.  Keunggulan dari alat ini adalah; (1). Dapat menembakkan shuttlecock dengan keandalan yang baik, (2). Dapat menembakkan shuttlecock dengan kecepatan maksimum 150 km/h, (3). Memiliki massa struktur total dibawah 20 kg, (4). Memiliki biaya produksi yang murah, dan (5). Memiliki feeding satu shuttlecock per dua detik.  Proses pembuatan alat ini dilakukan di Laboratorium KK Ilmu Keolahragaan Sekolah Farmasi dan Laboratorium Fakultas Teknik Mesin dan Dirgantara ITB.  Sedangkan untuk uji coba dilakukan di Lapang Bulutangkis GSG ITB. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai bulan September – Nopember 2011. Subyek penelitian ini adalah material dan komponen lainnya yang berkaitan dengan perancangan dan pembuatan alat ini.  Instrumen penelitian  shuttlecock launcher ini mengacu pada sistem kerja secara fisika dan mekanik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa shuttlecock louncher ini dapat menghasilkan feeding speed yang tinggi  dan kecepatan pelontaran yang memenuhi kriteria kebutuhan.

Abstract

This study was aimed at recognizing the effect of traditional games on the elementary students’ fundamental movement skills. This study employed the experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were the 3rd grade students consisting of 84 students as the sample. In determining the research sample, the researcher administered the total sampling technique. To discover the effect, the sample received treatments before the post-test. The treatments were conducted for 8 weeks with 2 hours per meeting. The traditional games included in this study were Galasin, Gatrik, Bebentengan, Kasti, and Penggaris Games. This study used the second edition of Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-2) as its instrument. The data were then analyzed and processed by using paired sample t-test with SPSS 21. This study revealed that the traditional games had significant effect on the students’ fundamental movement skills. The traditional games could be used as a mean of enhancing fundamental movement. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan tradisional terhadap keterampilan gerak fundamental siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan the one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas 3 dengan sampel sebanyak 84 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Perlakuan dilakukan selama 8 minggu dengan 2 jam setiap pertemuannnya. Permainan tradisional yang digunakan yaitu Galasin, Gatrik, Bebentengan, Kasti, Permainan Penggaris. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD) second edition. Analisis dan pengolahan data menggunakan SPPS 21 dengan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari permainan tradisional terhadap keterampilan gerak fundamental siswa sekolah dasar. Permainan tradisional dapat dijadikan salah satu jalan dalam mengembangkan gerak fundamental.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the relationship between early childhood motor development and the level of socio-economic status (SES) of parents. The research method used was Ex-post Facto comparative study. The population of the study involved children aged 4-5 year from early childhood education schools in urban areas. 50 samples were selected (male = 27; female = 23). Overall sample participation was 78%. So that the representative sample were 39 participants. Children motor development was measured by using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) 3rd Edition. To measure the Socio-Economic Status (SES), an Instrument for Measuring the Socioeconomic Status of a family was used. The results showed that the early childhood motor development was not only influenced by parents' socioeconomic status, it was also influenced by playgrounds available in schools and the playing space at home. This study shows that parents today understand the importance of early childhood education in optimizing children development. Schools and neighborhoods are two best investments for a better children' future.   AbstrakStudi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan perkembangan motorik anak usia dini dengan tingkat status sosial ekonomi (SES) orang tua. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan studi komparasi Ex-post Facto. Populasi penelitian melibatkan anak usia 4-5 tahun berasal dari sekolah pendidikan anak usia dini yang berada di daerah perkotaan. Sampel dipilih sebanyak 50 (laki-laki = 27; perempuan = 23). Partisipasi sampel keseluruhan sebesar 78%. Sehingga sampel yang representatif sebanyak 39. Perkembangan Motorik anak diukur menggunakan Ages and Stages Questionaire (ASQ) 3rd Edition. Sedangkan untuk mengukur Status Sosial Ekonomi (SES) menggunakan Instrument (Scale) for Measuring the Socioeconomic Status of a family. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan motorik anak usia dini tidak hanya dipengaruhi faktor status sosial ekonomi orang tua, juga dipengaruhi oleh tempat bermain yang tersedia di sekolah dan lingkungan bermain di rumah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua saat ini semakin memahami pentingnya pendidikan anak sejak dini dalam mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak. Sekolah dan lingkungan tempat tinggal merupakan salah satu wujud investasi terbaik untuk masa depan anak yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Teaching physical education in schools today is still based on the delivery of the games  movement and sports information, so that the cognitive ability, reflective-critical thinking skills, and students’ performance have not fully developed yet. The purpose of this study was to discover the reflective cognitive development of critical thinking abilities and the performance in playing handball in physical education classes. Its used 2x2 factorial design conducted on 74 students of grade Sernior High School in Bandung. Instrument used to measure the ability of critical thinking was the test to measure the critical thinking ability, while GPAI was used to measure games performance. The study shows that there is a significant effect of the critical thinking skills inquiry learning model treatment, whereas the direct treatment shows that there is a significant influence on the performance in playing handball. The results also discover the interaction in intelligence quotient and learning model and both of the models have influence on the students who have high and low intelligence.  AbstrakPengajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah masih berlandaskan pada penyampaian informasi gerak permainan atau olahraga semata, sehingga kemampuan kognitif reflektif-kemampuan berpikir kritis  dan penampilan bermain  siswa belum berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelurusi kebenaran pengembangan kognitif reflektif-kemampuan berpikir kritis dan penampilan bermain bola tangan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain faktorial  2x2 dilakukan pada 74 orang siswa kelas SMA di Bandung.  Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu dengan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis sedangkan GPAI untuk mengukur keterampilan bermain. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis dari perlakuan model pembelajaran  inkuiri, sedangkan pada perlakuan direct teaching  menyatakan pula terdapat pengaruh signifikan penampilan bermain bola tangan. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya model pembelajaran dengan intelligence quotient terdapat interaksi dan kedua model tersebut mempengaruhi pada tingkat siswa yang memiliki intelligence tinggi daan rendah.
