Abstract

This study has successfully synthesized SnO2 and SnO2 thin films by doping aluminum (Al) using the technique of sol-gel spin coating on glass and quartz substrates. The basic materials are Tin (II) chloride dihydrate (SnCl2.2H2O) and ethanol (C2H5OH) as solvent.  Material for doping is AlCl3 as much as 0.027 g, 0.053 g and 0.08 g to get Al dopant concentration of 5%, 10% and 15% respectively. The substrate used in this study are glass and quartz with the dimension of 10 mm x 10 mm x 3 mm. Detergent water, distilled water and 70% alcohol were used for the preparation of the substrates. Pure SnO2 sol solution was obtained by dissolving SnCl2.2H2O in ethanol, and SnO2:Al was obtained by adding AlCl3 to the solution of SnO2. The stirring process was done by using a hot plate magnetic stirrer to obtained a homogeneous solution (transparent). Sol solution of pure SnO2 and SnO2:Al were allowed for 24 hours as maturation (aging) process. Solution deposition on a substrate was done with a rotary speed of 2000 rpm for 3 minutes. Heating process was done at the annealing temperature of 200°C to 400°C by using a furnace for 1 hour to grow the crystalline of thin films. This thin films are very appropriate when applied to transparent conductive oxide (TCO) materials with high transparency and conductive character of tin (Sn) and aluminum (Al)Keyword: SnO2‚ aluminum‚ sol-gel, spin coating, substrate

Abstract

This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity and secondary metabolism of pakoasi leaf extract and kluwih leaf. Analysis using DDPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Result of antioxidant activity test in. Concentration Barriers (IC50). IC50 values for leaf extract of pakoasi and kluwih leaves were 89.659 μg / mL and 54.719 μg / mL greater than IC50 vitamin C of 46.74 μg / mL. Qualitative analysis of antioxidant compounds using TLC technique showed seven chromatogram profiles for pakoasi leaf extract and four chromatogram profiles for kluwih leaf extract. In addition, phytochemical analysis of leaf extract of pakoasi and kluwih leaves showed the presence of saponin compounds, tannins, phenols, flavonoids, steroids and triterpenoids. Based on the results of this analysis concluded that leaf extract of pakoasi and kluwih leaf as natural source of antioxidant which can be seen with IC50 value in the sample is in strong category and supported from phytolyte analysis result which according to phenol and flavonoid which act as antioxidant. Keywords: Antioxidant activity, phytochemical analysis ethanol extract, green bean leaves, kluwih leaves, leaves of pakoasi

Abstract

The objective of this study was to isolate endophytic bacteria from bark of srikaya, analyzing antibacterial activity of endophytic bacteria in S. aureus, B. cereus and E. coli pathogenic bacteria, characterizing endophytic bacteria capable of inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria and identification of endophytic bacteria able to inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Isolation of endophytic bacteria using TSA and NA media, bioassay on pathogen bacteria with concentration of 106 cells / ml with using Ø 6 mm wells and entering supernatant of 100 μl. Supernatant was obtained by growing endophytic bacteria in NB media shaken with shaker 150 cycles / min for 48 h at 32ᵒC then culture centrifuge at 5000 g for 30 min. Positive control using cyprofloxacin. Characterization is based on the nature of the colony, Gram paint, spore formation, and biochemical tests. The results of the study yielded 13 endophytic bacterial isolates and 4 endophytic isolates capable of inhibiting the growth of 8 pathogenic bacteria with sensitive criteria, 2 pathogenic bacteria with resistant criteria and 1 pathogen bacteria can not be inhibited its growth. Gram's paint results show that 4 endophytic isolates belong to Gram-positive, rod-shaped and spore forming cells. From the character possessed by the bacteria can be identified that the 4 bacteria endofit capable of inhibiting pathogenic bacteria are Bacillus brevis, Bacillus latesporus, Virgibacillus pantothenticus, and Bacillus circulansKeywords: Characterization, Endophytic Bacteria, Bark of Srikaya, Antibacterial

Abstract

Simulation of Physic Education Technology (PhET) is a simulation that contains about learning physics, chemistry and biology. PhET can replace a real lab into a virtual lab for PhET simulations can provide a learning experience at the same time play. This study aims to determine the effect PhET simulations of improving understanding the concept of the material liquid pressure and to determine the effect PhET simulations to increase student motivation to learn the material pressure liquid. Subjects in this study were students VIIIA and VIIIB MTsS Insan Quranic, Aceh Besar, with the number of students are 30 children. The VIIIA Class is the reference class in this study and the VIIIB classis the subject of experimental class. This study used a quasi-experimental. Abstract

Nowadays the need for fuel has always improved as following the increase in community and industry activities. Therefore, we need to search for resources of alternative energy. The tobacco rod is one of the lignocellulosic materials which has three main components namely cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. The production of bioethanol from lignocellulosic materials is strongly influenced by the composition of cellulose in its raw materials. This research use  the cellulose extraction of tobacco rods by a bases method on NaOH concentrations are 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% and 12.5% (v/v) . The results show that the concentration of NaOH strongly influences the yield of cellulose extracted. The highest cellulose yield of the extraction is obtained on 12.5% of NaOH concentration. Keywords:Extraction, cellulose, tobacco rod, bioethanol

Abstract

The environment in coastal areas is currently undergoing a process of exploitation, and in some locations the condition of natural resources is already at a critical point. This research is designed to make eco-friendly cultivation model as a small-scale fisherman livelihood supplement and local seagrass protection strategy. The virtues of this research include three aspects: (1) environmental aspect, (2) economic aspect of small fisherman and (3) social aspect in creating value of togetherness among community member in study location. Taking research data using direct observation method, interview and in-depth discussion. Respondents in this research are fishermen and fishermen caught fishermen group that catch fish around the seagrass area. Further data obtained before the analysis is validated through in-depth discussion. Data analysis using discrete statistic method. The results showed that environmentally friendly cultivation has become the livelihood of fishermen in the study location, and they get additional income of Rp. 7,500. 000 within a period of cultivation (6-7 months). In addition, they earn additional income of Rp. 200,000 from fishing service by utilizing the means of cultivation (KJA). Furthermore, the farmer's fishermen are aware of the negative effects of the utilization that are disruptive from the use of bombs and potassium to cultivation and they play an active role in preventing it. In this case, smallholder cultivation has relevance in seagrass habitat protection and can be considered in the policy of empowering fisherman's economy and conservation of local coastal environment outside conservation area. Keywords: Value of eco-friendly cultivation, small Nealayan and Local scale seagrass protection
