Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi pemuaian kelas VII SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning melalui internet assisted learning. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitiannya peserta didik kelas VII-I yang berjumlah 28 orang. Terdapat empat tahap dalam penelitian, yaitu perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Instrumen data diperoleh dari lembar tes dan non tes yang diberikan kepada peserta didik meliputi lembar pretest, posttest, profilling, wawancara, dan observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains yang diterapkan berhasil meningkat dari skor n-gain 0,58 menjadi 0,86 dengan kategori tinggi. Adapun komponen keterampilan proses sains yang diujikan menurut Nur (2011) diantaranya menentukan rumusan masalah, menyusun hipotesis, menentukan variabel, mengumpulkan data, menganalisis, dan membuat kesimpulan yang masing-masing memperoleh nilai persentase secara berurutan 95%, 93%, 96%, 95%, 92%, dan 94% dengan kategori sangat tinggi.The objective of this research is to enhance science process skills on the topic of expansion for seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya using the problem-based learning model through internet-assisted learning. The type of research applied is classroom action research with the research subjects being 28 students from class VII-I. There are four stages in the research, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data instruments were obtained from test and non-test sheets given to students, including pretest, posttest, profiling, interviews, and observations. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the applied science process skills successfully increased from an n-gain score of 0.58 to 0.86 in the high category. The components of the science process skills tested, according to Nur (2011), include formulating problems, developing hypotheses, determining variables, collecting data, analyzing, and drawing conclusions, each of which obtained percentage scores of 95%, 93%, 96%, 95%, 92%, and 94% respectively, all in the very high category.

Abstract

Tantangan baru bagi pendidik dalam merancang pembelajaran IPA yang berpihak kepada peserta didik adalah terkait keberagaman suku dan budaya Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis soft skills peserta didik melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) pada pembelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan reflektif jurnal. Pembelajaran ini terintegrasi dengan pendekatan CRT yang terdiri dari lima aspek meliputi content integration, facilitating knowledge construction, prejudice reduction, social justice, dan academic development. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari – April 2024 di kelas VIII F SMPN 2 Lamongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA melalui pendekatan CRT dapat membentuk dan mengembangkan soft skills peserta didik seperti bekerja sama, peduli lingkungan, berpikir kritis, empati komunikasi, toleransi, tanggung jawab, peduli sosial, kerja keras, kesadaran sosial dan budaya serta rasa ingin tahu. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa tantangan dalam penerapan pendekatan ini adalah pemahaman peserta didik, peran aktif guru dalam mengintegrasikan konsep budaya dalam pembelajaran IPA, serta cara adaptasi guru dan peserta didik menghadapi perubahan paradigma pendidikan. Pendekatan CRT lebih lanjut dapat dikembangkan dalam beberapa konsep IPA dengan prinsip pengembangan karakter. A new challenge for teachers in designing science learning that takes sides with students is Indonesia's ethnic and cultural diversity. This research aimed to analyze students' soft skills through the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach to science lessons. The methodology applied is a qualitative method with the data collected through observation, interviews, and reflective journals. This learning is integrated with the CRT approach which the aspects are content integration, facilitating knowledge construction, prejudice reduction, social justice, and academic development. This research was conducted in February – April 2024 in class VIII F SMPN 2 Lamongan. The results showed that science lessons through the CRT approach can show and develop students' soft skills such as collaboration skills, environmental awareness, critical thinking, communication skills, tolerance, responsibility, social and cultural awareness, and curiosity. These results also showed that the challenges in this implementation approach are student understanding, a teacher's activity in integrating cultural concepts in science learning, as well as a teacher's and student's adaptation to different paradigms of education. The CRT approach then can be developed in several science lessons with the principles of character development.

Abstract

Laboratorium virtual merupakan suatu media berbasis komputer yang berisi simulasi kegiatan di laboratorium fisika. Guru sebagai fasilitator harus berfikir kreatif dan inovatif untuk mengatasi masalah ini, terutama di tengah pandemi COVID-19 saat ini, tentunya guru tidak bisa menghadirkan siswa di sekolah untuk melakukan praktikum. Maka dibutuhkan suatu media pembelajaran yang mengabungkan lebih dari 2 unsur media yang terdiri dari teks, grafis (gambar, foto, animasi) dan video secara terintegrasi, sehingga siswa masih tetap bisa melakukan praktikum walaupun dimasa pandemi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development dengan model pengembangan 4-D terdiri atas 4 tahapan pengembangan, yaitu define (tahap pendefinisian), design (tahap perancangan), develop (tahap pengembangan), dan disseminate (tahap penyebarluasan) produk berupa Laboratorium Virtual pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Bunta. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas(PTK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan laboratorium virtual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar  siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Bunta. Terlihat dari ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus 1 adalah 20 % sementara pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 77%.A virtual laboratory is a computer-based medium that contains simulations of activities in a physics laboratory. Teachers as facilitators need to think creatively and innovatively to tackle this problem, especially in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic, of course teachers cannot bring students to school to do a practice. So we need a learning medium that combines more than two media elements consisting of text, graphics (pictures, photos, animations) and video in an integrated way, so that students can still do the practice even in pandemic times. This research is a Research and Development study with a 4-D development model consisting of 4 stages of development, namely define (defining stage), design (planning stage), develop (development stage), and disseminate (distribution stage) of virtual laboratory products in students of grade XI IPA SMAN 1 Bunta. This study is Class Action Research (PTK). Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of virtual laboratories can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Bunta. Seeing from the classical accuracy in cycle 1 is 20 percent while at cycle 2 it has increased to 77 percent.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam adalah cabang ilmu yang mencakup pengetahuan fisika, kimia, dan biologi yang diajarkan pada jenjang SMP. Namun, dalam pembelajaran siswa seringkali kesulitan mempelajari materi IPA karena konsep dan teorinya yang abstrak. Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat dapat mendukung transfer ilmu kepada siswa salah satunya dengan penerapan model project-based learning. Studi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan utama yaitu mengetahui apa saja yang telah diteliti terkait topik penerapan model project-based learning mulai dari tahun 2019 hingga 2024, dengan begitu akan diketahui hal-hal yang belum diteliti pada topik tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode studi literatur review dari jurnal nasional biasa yang dan jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Proses pencarian jurnal dilakukan dengan bantuan software Publish or Perish yang dapat menyediakan referensi relevan yang terhubung dengan database Google Schoolar. Hasil analisis topik penerapan model project-based learning paling banyak diteliti pada jenjang SD sedangkan pada jenjang SMP masih belum banyak diterapkan. Topik penerapan model project-based learning yang diteliti paling banyak mengangkat materi pencemaran lingkungan dan juga paling banyak digunakan dalam mengukur hasil belajar. Berdasarkan kajian pustaka dan analisis ini, diharapkan dapat mempermudah peneliti yang tertarik menerapkan model project-based learning dalam konteks pembelajaran IPA. Analisis dan kajian pustaka ini diharapkan dapat membantu peneliti dalam menemukan referensi atau panduan yang tepat untuk merumuskan topik penelitian selanjutnya, khususnya dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang muncul dalam pembelajaran IPA.Natural Science is a branch of science that includes knowledge of physics, chemistry, and biology taught at the junior high school level. However, in learning, students often have difficulty learning science material because of its abstract concepts and theories. The use of appropriate learning models can support the transfer of knowledge to students, one of which is the application of project-based learning models. This study was conducted with the main objective of knowing what has been researched related to the topic of applying project-based learning models from 2019 to 2024, so that things that have not been researched on the topic will be known. The research was conducted using the literature review method from regular national journals and accredited national journals. The journal search process was carried out with the help of Publish or Perish software which can provide relevant references connected to the Google Schoolar database. The results of the analysis of the topic of the application of project-based learning model are mostly researched at the elementary level while at the junior high school level it is still not widely applied. The topic of project-based learning model application that was researched the most raised environmental pollution material and was also the most used in measuring learning outcomes. Based on this literature review and analysis, it is expected to facilitate researchers who are interested in applying project-based learning models in the context of science learning. This analysis and literature review are expected to help researchers find the right reference or guide to formulate further research topics, especially in overcoming problems that arise in science learning.

Abstract

Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran seperti kurangnya perhatian dan fokus siswa serta kecenderungan individualis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis lebih mendalam terhadap kompetensi 4C siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian mini ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di SMP N 1 Gubug dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 27 siswa kelas VIII B. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan lembar observasi kompetensi 4C. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata kompetensi berpikir kritis memperoleh hasil sebesar 50,8% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Pada keempat indikator kompetensi komunikasi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 50,3% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Kompetensi kolaborasi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 61,28 yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Kompetensi berpikir kreatif pada keempat indikator memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 42,7% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi perlunya kompetensi 4C antara lain kurangnya media pembelajaran interaktif. Rata-rata keempat kompetensi 4C berada pada kategori cukup.The observations indicate issues during the learning process, such as students' lack of attention and focus and individualistic tendencies. This study aims to conduct a more in-depth analysis of the 4Cs competencies of students. The research method used in this mini-research is the quantitative descriptive method. Data collection was conducted at SMP N 1 Gubug, and the research subjects were 27 students from class VIII B. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets for 4Cs competencies. Based on the research results, the average critical thinking competency achieved a result of 50.8%, which falls into the sufficient category. Across the four indicators, communication competency averaged 50.3%, indicating a sufficient category. Collaboration competency received an average score of 61.28, also in the sufficient category. Creative thinking competency across the four indicators averaged 42.7%, which is sufficient. Several factors, including a lack of interactive learning media, influence the need for 4Cs competencies. The averages of all four 4Cs competencies are in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA yang dikaitkan dengan lingkungan sekitar siswa serta penyajian dalam bentuk website belum diterapkan secara maksimal. Siswa kurang bijak menggunakan gadget, media pembelajaran kurang variatif dan siswa kurang menyukai materi IPA karena dianggap sulit. Salah satu alternatif solusi atas permasalahan tersebut adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis wix tema garam Madura. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan, keterbacaan dan respons siswa terhadap media. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Larangan kelas VII-D dengan 3 siswa (uji perorangan), 12 siswa (uji kelompok kecil), dan kelas VII-B dengan 22 siswa (implementasi) pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket validasi ahli media, ahli materi, keterbacaan siswa, dan respons siswa. Hasil penelitian: skor rerata validitas dari ahli media 0,93 dan reliabilitas 89%, ahli materi diperoleh skor rerata validitas 0,94 dan reliabilitas 90%; keterbacaan memperoleh nilai rerata 79% (sangat baik); respons siswa dengan nilai rerata 74% (baik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan mendapat respons positif dari siswa.Science learning that is linked to the environment around students and presented in the form of a website has not been implemented optimally. Students are not wise enough to use gadgets, learning media is less varied and students don't like science material because it is considered difficult. One alternative solution to this problem is to develop integrated science learning media based on Wix with Madura’s salt theme. The aim of the research is to determine the appropriateness, readability and students responses to the media. This research uses the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Larangan class VII-D with 3 students (test one to one), 12 students (test small group), and class VII-B with 22 students (implementation) in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques include validation questionnaires from media experts, material experts, student readability and student responses. Research results: the average validity score from media experts was 0.93 and reliability was 89%, material experts obtained an average validity score of 0.94 and reliability was 90%; readability obtained an average score of 79% (very good); student responses with an average score of 74% (good). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the media developed is suitable for use and has received a positive response from students.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis adalah keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang diperlukan guna pengembangan keterampilan di abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) berbasis mind map dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VII pada salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Kudus. Data diperoleh dari observasi dan wawancara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas VII F, sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa serta Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pada pratindakan mendapatkan ketuntasan klasikal 14,7% pada siklus I 5,8% dan pada siklus II 85,29%. Sedangkan untuk nilai per aspek pada siklus I memperoleh Aspek elementary clarification memperoleh persentase tertinggi dengan 54,7% kemudian aspek basic support memperoleh 47,6%, aspek advance clarification 35,8%, inference 28,8%, dan persentase dengan nilai terendah yaitu pada aspek strategies and tactics sebanyak 15,8% sedangkan pada siklus II memperoleh niilai aspek elementary clarification memperoleh persentase tertinggi dengan 95,8% kemudian aspek basic support memperoleh 94,4%, aspek advance clarification 88,2%, inference 79,4%, dan persentase dengan nilai terendah yaitu pada aspek strategies and tactics sebanyak 76,4%. Penerapan model in dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan tercapainya ketuntasan klasikal lebih dari 70% dan didapatkan perolehan nilai per aspek yaitu dengan tercapainya target kenaikan 20% pada siklus I dan siklus IICritical thinking is a high-level thinking skill needed for the development of skills in the 21st century. This study aims to determine whether the cooperative learning model of the Think Talk Write (TTW) type based on mind maps can improve the critical thinking skills of class VII students at one of the junior high schools in Kudus. Data were obtained from observation and interviews. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects consisted of 34 class VII F students, data sources came from teachers and students and data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. In the pre-action, classical completeness was 14.7% in cycle I 5.8% and in cycle II 85.29%. Meanwhile, for the value per aspect in cycle I, the elementary clarification aspect obtained the highest percentage with 54.7%, then the basic support aspect obtained 47.6%, the advance clarification aspect 35.8%, inference 28.8%, and the percentage with the lowest value was in the strategies and tactics aspect as much as 15.8% while in cycle II, the elementary clarification aspect obtained the highest percentage with 95.8%, then the basic support aspect obtained 94.4%, the advance clarification aspect 88.2%, inference 79.4%, and the percentage with the lowest value was in the strategies and tactics aspect as much as 76.4%. The application of this model can improve critical thinking skills by achieving classical completeness of more than 70% and obtaining the value per aspect, namely by achieving the target increase of 20% in cycles I and II.

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab hasil belajar siswa rendah adalah siswa yang salah konsep atau siswa yang salah menangkap soal. Soal yang berupa peristiwa, terpaksa harus dituliskan dalam kalimat yang panjang. Inilah yang membuat membuat siswa sering salah tangkap dalam membaca soal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan mengembangkan Game Based Assessment  (GAMBAS) pada materi momentum dan impuls melalui aplikasi Game Based Assessment  Momentum and Impulse (GAMBAS MIE) yang dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi dan animasi di setiap soalnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode 4D (Define, Design, Development, dan Disseminate). Di dalam model pengembangan 4D ini terdapat 4 tahapan yang meliputi: (1) Define (pendefinisian) hal yang dilakukan studi literatur, analisis kurikulum, analisis konsep peserta didik; (2) Design (perancangan) hal yang dilakukan pembuatan story board GAMBAS MIE; (3) Development (pengembangan) hal yang dilakukan yakni pengembangan GAMBAS MIE kemudian dilanjutkan validasi ahli serta uji coba terbatas dimana data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik diskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa GAMBAS MIE layak di uji coba serta hasil uji coba yang dilakukan menunjukkan GAMBAS MIE layak digunakan; dan (4) Disseminate (penyebaran), hal yang dilakukan yakni menyebarkan GAMBAS MIE secara luas dalam bentuk hak cipta. GAMBAS MIE yang telah dikembangkan mendapat respon baik dari peserta didik melalui nilai N – Gain mencapai 0,86 yang berada pada kategori tinggi menunjukkan bahwa GAMBAS MIE dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi momentum dan impuls.One of the causes of low student learning outcomes is students who have the wrong concept or students who misunderstand the problem. Problems in the form of events must be written in long sentences. This is what makes students often misunderstand in reading the questions. This research aims to overcome these problems by developing Game Based Assessment  (GAMBAS) on momentum and impulse material through the Game Based Assessment  Momentum and Impulse (GAMBAS MIE) application which is equipped with illustrations and animations in each question. This research uses the 4D method (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). In this 4D development model there are 4 stages which include: (1) Define (defining) things that are done by literature study, curriculum analysis, learner concept analysis; (2) Design (designing) things that are done by making GAMBAS MIE story boards; (3) Development (development) things that are done are the development of GAMBAS MIE then continued expert validation and limited trials where the data obtained are analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of expert validation show that GAMBAS MIE is feasible in trials and the results of trials conducted show that GAMBAS MIE is feasible to use; and (4) Dessiminate (dissemination), what is done is to widely disseminate GAMBAS MIE in the form of copyright. GAMBAS MIE that has been developed gets a good response from students through the N - Gain value reaching 0.86 which is in the high category indicating that GAMBAS MIE can improve students' concept mastery on momentum and impulse material

Abstract

Penggunaan internet dan smart mobile pada era modern ini telah menjadi kebutuhan yag tidak dapat dipisahkan dari berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk dalam inovasi pembelajaran. Digital digital lifestyle sesuatu yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan siswa. Sehingga pembelajaran di sekolah juga harus diintegrasikan dengan penggunaan internet dan perangkat smart mobile agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, agar tidak kehilangan motivasi dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penugasan bentuk digital (video) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari siklus I dan siklus II. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk mengukur motivasi siswa dan test hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan penugasan tertulis pada siklus I dan penugasan dengan bentuk digital pada siklus II. Data yang didapatkan diolah dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif dan kualitatf deskriptif dengan menggunakan aplikasi spss dan didapatkan hasil terdapat peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar dari siklus I 78,52 dan siklus II menjadi 82,77. Serta hasil analisis kuesioner didapatkan bahwa siswa sangat termotivasi dengan penugasan bentuk video.The use of the Internet and smart mobile in this modern era has become an indispensable necessity in many areas of life, including in learning innovation. One cannot separate students' digital lifestyle from their digital lives. It is therefore important to integrate Internet and mobile smart device use with school learning to meet the demands of students and prevent learning motivation loss. This study aims to determine the impact of digital assignments (video) on the motivation and learning outcomes of students using the Kemmis and Taggart Model Class Action Research, which consists of cycles I and II. The instruments used are questionnaires to measure motivation of students and test the learning outcome of students who use written assignments on cycle I and assignments with digital forms on cycles II. Data obtained were processed using descriptive quantitative analysis and descriptiveness with the application spss and the results were obtaining there was an increase in the average learning output from cycles i 78,52 and cycle II to 82.77. As well as the analysis of the questionnaire it was found that students were highly motivated with the assignment of video forms.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan dan hambatan dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka pada pembelajaran IPA di SMPN Banyudono. Pendekatan penelitian ini campuran atau kombinasi dengan model kombinasi strategi tertanam bersamaan. Teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data kuantitatif yaitu angket. Teknik analisis data kualitatif menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Teknik analisis data kuantitaif menggunakan statistik deskriptif, kemudian dibandingkan untuk membuat kesimpulan data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa Guru IPA kelas VII di SMP Negeri Banyudono telah menerapkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis kurikulum merdeka. Guru telah melaksanakan asemen diagnostik, tetapi hasil yang diperoleh belum sepenuhnya digunakan untuk mengelompokkan peserta didik berdasarakan kompetensi dan karakter, sehingga program tindak lanjut yang diberikan belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan kebutuhan setiap individu peserta didik. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru membuat modul ajar secara mandiri atau menggunakan modul ajar yang telah tersedia, kemudian dimodifikai sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah. Komponen minimum yang harus tercantum dalam modul terbuka belum sepenuhnya tercantum berdasarkan buku panduan pembelajaran dan asesmen. Pada tahap pembelajaran, guru telah melaksanakan kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup secara runtut serta melakukan asesmen formatif dan sumatif, namun masih terdapat komponen pada tahapan tersebut yang belum tersampaikan. Pada pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, guru belum melaksanakan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.The objective of this study was to describe the implementation and obstacles of independent curriculum in science learning at Banyudono Middle School. This research used mixed method with the concurrent embedded strategy combination model. The qualitative data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The quantitative data collection techniques used questionnaire. The qualitative data analysis used Miles and Huberman model. The quantitative data analysis used descriptive statistics, are then compared to make conclusions. The results of the study showed that grade VII science teachers at Banyudono State Middle School implemented the independent curriculum. The teacher has done a diagnostic assessment, but the results obtained have not been fully used to gradeify students based on competence and character so the follow-up programs provided are not fully to the needs of student. At the planning, the teacher makes teaching modules independently or uses available teaching modules, then modifies them according to school conditions. The minimum components that have included in the teaching module have not been fully listed based on the learning guidebook and assessment. At the learning stage, the teacher has done the preliminary, core, and closing activities in a coherent manner with formative and summative assessments, but there are still components at these stages that have not been conveyed. In differentiated learning, the teacher have not implemented differentiation learning. The obstacles happened in diagnostic assessment, differentiation learning, and projects to strengthen Pancasila student’s projects.
