Organic red rice has many health benefits compared to white rice. Organic rice includes special rice that is not subject to the HET (Highest Retail Price) regulation set by the government, so this rice does not have a maximum price limit. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis, Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) analysis and Mutiple Linear Regression analysis. The research was conducted at Perum Bulog Sub Divre Madiun. The sampling method used was the accidental sampling method. The results showed that consumer market segmentation has an influence on determining the value of consumer Willingness to Pay. The Willingness to Pay value for organic red rice “BerasKita” is Rp 23.825, which is higher than the current price. Factors that have a significant effect on Willingness to Pay are attribute of organic red rice. Improvement recommendations should be able to maintain and improve product quality.

Abstract

There are several risks that must be faced by salt farmers in salt farming, such as price instability, uncertain weather/climate, and competition for imported salt, however there are still many salt farmers who do salt farming, which means there is still motivation to do so. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of motivation and factors related to the motivation of salt farmers in doing salt farming. A sample of 42 salt farmers in Pinggir Papas Village, Kalianget District, was taken by purposive sampling. Data collected by structured interviews. Data analysis was done by quantitative descriptive and Spearman Rank correlation test. The result of this research is that the motivation level of salt farmers in Pinggir Papas Village, Kalianget District, Sumenep Regency was in high category. Factors that are positively related to the motivation of farmers (pegaram) were social aspects and economic aspects where the social aspect has a higher close relationship than the economic aspect. Abstract

Paddy is a commodity that is widely cultivated by farmers in Indonesia. Paddy farmers are currently facing the threat of declining farm productivity due to land conversion activities, access to inputs that are difficult to reach, and climate change. However, productivity can be increased through the use of fertilizer inputs and agricultural machinery. Government support for paddy farmers is provided through input subsidies and agricultural machinery. Therefore, this study explores the effect of input subsidies and agricultural machinery on paddy productivity. We selected 20 provinces with the highest proportion of paddy fields to the total area. Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) analysis is used to determine the effect of subsidies on fertilizers and agricultural machinery on paddy productivity in Indonesia. The results showed that input subsidies were mostly allocated to Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi islands, while agricultural machinery was allocated more to Sulawesi and Nusa Tenggara islands. FGLS analysis shows that the area of irrigated land, subsidies for urea fertilizer, subsidies for NPK fertilizers, subsidies for ZA fertilizers, and grants for 2-wheel tractors affect increasing paddy productivity. Meanwhile, the effect of increasing temperature causes a decrease in paddy productivity.

Supply chain management related to partner selection, contractual agreements, transaction systems, government support, and supply chain collaboration. The criteria for selecting partners are bidders with high prices, customers, and middlemen who are bound to provide capital loans to farmers. Transaction system through grace and cash system. The government support also contributes to the sustainability of it. Resources owned by members of the supply chain consist of physical, technology, and capital resources. Business processes can be seen from distribution patterns, support chain members, risk and trust building. Distribution patterns flow products, finance, and information from farmers to consumers, and vice versa. Each member of the potato supply chain requires equipment and input in the form of raw materials in the production process. Each member has different risks in the supply chain business process.

Abstract

Cocoa development in East Luwu Regency has prospects based on the potential for production and marketing of cocoa beans. However, there are problems including productivity and low cocoa prices. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop cocoa agribusiness through a partnership pattern. The purpose of this study was to identify partnership patterns in cocoa agribusiness development and to determine the level of satisfaction of farmers who partnered with PT. Mars Symbioscience Indonesia. The research method is in the form of direct observation and interviews with the parties involved in the implementation of the partnership pattern, then the data is analyzed using descriptive and analysis of the level of conformity through the level of importance and level of satisfaction. The results showed that the partnership pattern in cocoa agribusiness development in East Luwu Regency was included in the plasma core pattern category, as the nucleus was PT. Mars Symbioscience Indonesia provides capital assistance, training, and training as well as marketing of the harvest, while as a plasma, cocoa farmers produce cocoa commodities. The partnership pattern activities include the upstream sector providing and providing some agricultural equipment assistance, providing seeds and experimental gardens to farmers, the farming sector providing guidance in cocoa cultivation and improving the quality of cocoa beans through harvest and post-harvest counseling and the downstream sector developing direct purchasing patterns to farmers. cocoa farmer. In addition, the level of conformity obtained from the questionnaire on the level of importance and the level of satisfaction of the partnership pattern in cocoa agribusiness development shows an average value of >100%, namely 104.78% in the very satisfied category.

Abstract

Integrated Crop Management is a major technology component and an adaptive option that can be adapted to local agroecological conditions. This study aims to determine the level of application of Integrated Crop Management (ICM) technology and the obstacles faced by farmers in the application of ICM technology. This research was conducted in August - September 2020, which was located in Oepuah Utara Village, Biboki Moenleu District, North Central Timor Regency, while the method used to see the success rate of ICM technology application was using scoring. The results of the research on the level of application of ICM technology are; low with a percentage of 55%. There are still obstacles to be faced (a) The technical application of the jajar legowo plant system with the jajar legowo 2:1 and 4:1 technique has not been able to be implemented by farmers because many use the jajar legowo 8:1 and 10:1 technique. (b) planting seeds 1 to 3 per clump cannot be carried out optimally because there are still attacks by the golden snail, so farmers are still doing a lot of planting. (c) fertilizing should be 3 times per planting season, farmers cannot do it because they do not use basic fertilizers. (d). pest control using chemical drugs because farmers do not observe pests and clean by hand.

Abstract

Red chili farming is relatively risky, but farming has promising profit opportunities. Kumpeh subdistrict can potentially provide business red chili commodities with the most significant harvest and production area. The availability and condition of the land support for red chili farming. This study aims to optimize production factors in red chili farming and analyze business risks farmers face in growing red chili peppers. This research was conducted in Kumpeh District of Muaro Jambi Regency with sample areas, namely Mekar Sari Village and Maju Jaya Village. The number of samples in this study was 118 farmers. The determination of sample farmers is done using random sampling techniques. Optimization analysis of red pepper farming factors was conducted using the Cobb-Douglas production function with economic efficiency criteria on production factors. Meanwhile, the amount of business risk is calculated from the measure of the coefficient of variation and the lower-income limit. The results showed that farmers in the research area's use of land production, fertilizers (NPK, KCL, SP36, manure), and pesticides (liquid and solid) in red chili farming had not achieved economic efficiency. Economically, a farmer's optimum production is greater than the amount he uses. Similarly, the use of labor production factors that are not economically efficient. Meanwhile, the coefficient of variation in red chili income is worth more than 0.5. This condition causes the lower limit of income that may be received to be negative. Red chili farming in the research area is not safe from possible losses. Still, red chili farming is quite profitable in terms of farming feasibility, with an R/C ratio greater than 1.
