Abstract

The landscape of volcanic and geothermal energy which has an attractive object and unique ecotourism is very important for geo-tourism destination. Nevertheless the use of geothermal so far in Indonesia including Kawah Kamojang only for electricity production which is still not optimal, but it has the potential of tourism in the form of craters geothermal and other potential tourist activity. The research is needed to discuss the spectrum of tourism opportunities in Kawah Kamojang forest. The method for this study is Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS), which was developed by the U.S. Forest Service. The result is a spectrum of geothermal potential ecotourism developed in integrated 6 ecotourism sites such as Geothermal Installation, TWA Kawah Kamojang, Situ Ciharus, Situ Cibeureum, Tourism Village, and Eagle Conservation Center. Some programs and tourism activities may be able to be potentially developed such as camping, jungle trekking, hiking, swimming, fishing, flora and fauna sighting, hot water bath, educational, culinary and cultural tourism. The constraints on developing geotourism are facilities and services, management, social and collision with applicable regulations. Therefore, there should be a joint effort and collective work between central government, local government, private sector, NGOs, educational institutions/ universities, and local communities towards this plan.

Abstract

The tourism industry has experienced a decline due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Indonesia Central Statistics (BPS) noted that the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia between January and November 2020 was only 3.89 million. In line with the implementation of the health protocol, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in 2020 issued a guide book and certification program for the implementation of Cleanliness, Healthy, Safety and Environment (CHSE) in the tourism sector. On September 25, 2020 Tanah Lot already pocketed the CHSE certificate. This study was designed to assess the relationship between the implementation of the CHSE program on satisfaction and revisit intention of tourists visiting the Tanah Lot Tourist Attraction, Tabanan. This study uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study was 30-100 samples using accidental sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was done by distributing online and offline to visitors visiting Tanah Lot. Data analysis in this study used two analytical techniques, namely Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that CHSE, both directly and through mediation, has a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction and intention to revisit visitors who travel to Tanah Lot. Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the intention to revisit tourists who travel to Tanah Lot.

Abstract

The determination of forest areas in 1982, which is the basis for the function of forest areas, is currently considered to be less relevant, this is due to the large number of activities that are not in accordance with their designation and the presence of a new policy of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2021 where forest areas need to be reviewed using predetermined criteria. This study aims to determine the suitability of function of forest areas in Mandalle Village, which is currently based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry number SK.362/MENLHK/SETJEN/PLA.0/5/2019 is a Protected Forest Area(Hutan Lindung). This research method uses the method of scoring forest areas with 3 (three) parameters, namely marbles, soil type and rainfall. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the steep slope class (25-40%) covers an area of 90.64 hectares with a percentage of 35.29% and the smallest the Flat slope class (0-8%) covers an area of 3.69 hectares with a percentage of 1.44%. The average rainfall at the study site was 14.78 mm / day (low) and the soil type of the study site was Podzolic which was categorized as sensitive soil. The results showed that the Protected Forest Area in Mandalle Village Mandalle Subdistrict Pangkajene and Islands Regency an area of ± 70,66 hectares (27,52%) suitable as Protected Forest, an area of ± 157,44 hectares (61,31%) directed as a Fixed Production Forest and an area of ± 28,69 hectares (11,17%) is directed as a Convertible Production Forest.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing consumer decisions to visit Pujon Kidul Tourism Village, Malang Regency, East Java during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are five factors used in this study, namely motivation, perception, attitude, learning, and personality. This study uses the associative method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire method with a sample of 100 visitors. To analyze the data, the researcher used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on PLS (Partial Least Square). This research concludes that motivation, perception, attitude, and learning have a significant positive effect on the decision to visit Pujon Kidul Tourism Village. The higher the motivation of tourists to travel, the better the perception of tourists towards a destination, the more information and knowledge about the description of a place as a tourist destination, and the easier it is for tourists to get information about tourist destinations, the higher the decision to visit. Meanwhile, personality has no significant positive effect on visiting decisions, which means that an increase in personality factors has an impact but is not significant on visiting decisions.

Abstract

Forest harvesting in the natural production forest management in Indonesia is mostly carried out using conventional logging techniques and causes serious damage to residual stands and soil resources. One of the efforts made to reduce this environmental damage is the application of reduced impact logging (RIL) techniques. This study aimed to collect and analyze research results related to the damage to residual stands caused by RIL in the natural production forest management in Indonesia. This study used a systematic review method. A systematic literature search was carried out at data sources such as Google Scholar, Research Gate, Science Direct, and SINTA, which were published between 1996-2021. All studies reported that applying RIL techniques can reduce the damage to the residual stands.

Abstract

The long-tailed mcaque (Macaca fascicularis) has a fairly wide population distribution in Indonesia. According to IUCN data, the population of long-tailed mcaque is decreasing every year, the cause is a decrease in habitat quality. One of the habitats of long-tailed mcaque which is currently under pressure due to conversion is located in a buffer village around the Orang Kayo Hitam Forest Park (Tahura OKH). This study aims to analyze the composition and age class of long-tailed monkeys. Observation methods were used to observe long-tailed mcaque based on morphological characteristics such as coat color and body size. Based on the results of the study, the composition of long-tailed mcaque was divided into two groups, the residential group (KP) and the river border group (KS). The number in KP is 8 individuals with an age class of 5 adults, 3 immature while the number in KS is 27 individuals with an age class of 18 adults, 4 immature, 3 juvenile, 1 infants. This condition illustrates that the river border habitat is better than the residential habitat. In addition, adults and adolescents are more numerous, indicating individuals who have a function for reproduction and continue reproduction. This breeding rate is the potential for regeneration of long-tailed mcaque and the potential for the regeneration process of peat ecosystems through the role of long-tailed monkeys as pollinators for seed dispersal.

Abstract

Human activity has reduced natural forests in Indonesia and triggered their transformation into, for example, jungle rubber land, as is often found in the Jambi Province of Central Sumatera. Forming jungle rubber through successional processes involves important pioneer trees such as Alstonia scholaris. The pioneer species' performance is influenced by site factors, the initial biodiversity status, cultivation treatment, and management inputs. The study reported here was conducted to assess leaf morphological variation of A. scholaris as preliminary indicators of difference in response and growth performance in several CRC990 plots (50 m x 50 m) of two distinct landscapes: Bukit Dua Belas National Park and Harapan Rain Forest. Results of the analysis of variance showed that the difference in landscapes gave rise to a significant effect on leaf morphology variable NV (venation number) for A. scholaris. Differences between plots within the landscapes were significant in the variables venation number (NV) and petiole ratio (PR) for A. Scholaris. The results of the distribution of leaf morphological variation in A. scholaris based on multivariate analyses (PCA) showed no clustering due to landscape effects.
