Abstract

As a proffesional person in the field of education, teacher has some roles, such as: being a teacher, mentor, class adminisrator, curriculum developer, profiessionla developer, and public relation. A competence, in the perspective of education, is a necessity, since it must be based on the mastery of a knowledge. The teacher’s social competence should be the tools of communcation and interaction to the students, fellow educators, educational officers, students’ parents, and the society. Education has an important role in improving the quality of human resources and as an efforts to realize the public welfare of the intelectual life of the nation. Taken from the decree of Indonesian government, it is stated that “Education is implemented to develop the capabilities and to shape the dignified national character aiming to develop the potetentials of Indonesian people to be faithful and devoted to Allah and to create the  noble, healthy, knowledgable, capable, crative, and independent person as well as to become a democratic and responsible citizen.

Abstract

The existence of al-ahwal asy-Sayksiyyah study program is a new hope in developing the human resources quality. Strengthening this study program needs an adequate infrastructure to fulfill all the needs of academic and non-academic tools to support the learning process in enriching the educational goals at the study program. This is a descriptive qualitative research design. This study wants to describe the strategy of developing al-ahwal asy-Sayksiyyah study program. The instruments used are observation, interview, and documentation. The data analyzed by using SWOT. The results of the study show that there are strength, weakness, opportunity, and the threat in developing al-ahwal asy-Sayksiyyah study program. The strategy implemented to develop al-ahwal asy-Sayksiyyah study program are: The socialization of vision, mission, goal, and the target of the study program, strengthen learning process, leadership, management, guality assurance, improvement of the alumnae quality, improvement of the staffs and lecturers, research development, society services, and MoU with other parties.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe the level of career readiness of the education faculty students of STAIN Samarinda and the aspects of career readiness of the education faculty students of STAIN Samarinda. The sample of this study was 92 students of the education faculty students. The researcher used stratified random sampling in this study. The data were collected by using questionnaires. The data were analized through rating scale. The result of findings shows that the level of career readiness of the education faculty students of STAIN Samarinda was 73% with 17.156 interval or it is categorized as “Good”. It is affected by the ages of the respondents in the age of 18 – 25 years old which means they are in the sub level of transition and trial little commitment. It is also affected by the factors of interest, skill, and personality. The aspects of career readiness of the education faculty students of STAIN Samarinda are as follows: 1) Career planning is 73.12%, categorized as “Good”. It is affected by the respondents’ knowledge of workfield, interest, education, extra-curricular activities, and spare-times activities. 2) Career exploration is 68.7%, categorized as “Good”. It is affected by the respondents’ family background and social life interaction. 3) Career decision is 76.3%, categorized as “Good”. It is affected by the respondents’ social economical background. 4) Work-field information is 73.5%, categorized as “Good”. It is affected by the educational and economical background of the respondents’ parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the budget plan of income and expenditure of schools, the allocation of educational financing, the supervision of education financing, and the reporting of education financing originating from parents in MTs Darul Ulum Palangkaraya. This research uses qualitative descriptive research method, conducted in MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. Data collection techniques through observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study reveal that the Madrasah Budget Plan  in MTs Darul Ulum Palangkaraya has been made through prior planning by the madrasah before meeting with foundations, school committees and parents, although the draft budget is made in the form of The simplest. In the case of the use of parents' funds, the learners are in accordance with the needs and RAPBM made, in the sense that the accounting has been made accounting. Furthermore, supervision of financial management is done directly by the principal.

Abstract

This is a classroom action research which has a goal to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning to improve the students’ability in reading Arabic text of PESKAM students of STAIN Samarinda. The population of the study is 116 students from 4 Arabic laguage classes. The data were analyzed by using paired t-test. The result of the study shows that the Arabic text reading ability of the students before the implementation of cooperative learning is 72.3, meanwhile the Arabic text reading ability of the students before the implementation of cooperative learning is 86.53. It means that cooperative learning is effective to improve the Arabic text reading ability of the students. From the aspect of motivation, cooperative learning could improve their motivation to learn Arabic which could improve as 56.9%. From the findings of the study, it is concluded that cooperative learning significantly improved the students’ability in reading Arabic text of PESKAM students of STAIN Samarinda. It also improved the students’ motivation learn Arabic text.

Abstract

This study wanted to see about legal thought of Shihab in one of his book that discuss the issues of Islamic law , "M. Quraish Shihab Answering 1001 Islamic Problem You Should Know”. This study focuses on what methods he used in the legal ways of fatwa istimbath.  Shihab -as familiar as the figure in his thinking commentators- not just dwell on the tafsir world, but also in the legal world (Syar’i). It can be seen in a variety of legal ideas outlined in his book with many problems, ranging from worship to the social problems of society. In this study, the authors found that Shihab in the views of law as outlined in the book can enlighten the Islamic society to face the various problems faced which are explicitly described by the Qur'an and the Hadis.

Abstract

The students of Arabic Education at State Institute of Al-Qur’an study Ilmu Bayan in order to understand about the beauty and majesty of Al-Qur’an verses, language style, Arabic expression, and to compose the right and good sentences. But, in the fact, learning of Ilmu Bayan cannot comply all of those criterion. There are many problems in this case such as: Students have difficulties to remember the rules of Ilmu Bayan and they try to compare Ilmu Bayan study to Indonesian language study. The learned book is using Arabic language without any translation and it’s also dominated by Arabic poem which is difficult to understand. Based on those data, the researcher develops a teaching book based on contractive analysis.This research use qualitative and quantitative approach with research and development method. The result of this research are: 1 contrastive analysis between Ilmu Bayan style of language and Indonesian style of language, 2 Product, that is a teaching book of Ilmu Bayan for STIQ Amuntai students. So that the steps to arrange the book are: need analysis, collecting data, product design, validating product, revise product, expediency test of product, revise of expedience test of product, effectiveness test of product, revise product, 3 Teaching book arranged by researcher is effective in learning Ilmu Bayan, known by comparing control and experiment group posttest result, that is T counting (4,36) more than T table (1,71) and T table (2,42).

Abstract

This research portraits the supervision for the State Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN 1 and MAN 2) Samarinda. It focuses on the competence, the achievement, and the system run by a MAN supervisor-Samarinda Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA). Generally speaking, the supervisors have undertaken their profession well. Although, their skills and the results in doing so vary one to another, but these imply no significant different. In terms of the competence, some of whom have accomplished a qualified minimum standard. And all of them, supported by various integrated backgrounds, such as academic and teaching experience, have succeeded to do any kinds of supervision matters. This success can be taken into account as one of the challenging parameters of their commitment to do some valuable efforts for MAN teachers’ qualities and the advancement for a MAN system of academic qualities as well. Yet, as far as the system of supervision is concerned, many of these supervisors, in the view of supervisees, are regarded less capable in providing a professional academic supervision services. In reality, the limitation in numbers, regulations and profits are the problems for a supervisor in doing his or her supervisor affairs, but they are not among the prime factors influence his or her professionality.

Abstract

The curriculum evaluation is a necessity. In Indonesia, the latest implemented curriculum for schools and madrasah is 2013 scientific based-approach curriculum which has not been implemented in all levels of school yet. As a guidance of the implementation of 2013 curriculum for madrasah, the religious affairs minister has established a Guidance Book for students and teachers. The Indonesian government will gradually provide the Guidance Book for students and teachers covering all subject taught in the school, Arabic in particular. Recently, Indonesian government has established Arabic textbook for class X of Madrasah Aliyah, for class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and for class I and IV of Madrasaha Ibtidaiyah. This textbook is important in emerging the ideology for students. That is why, the development of discourse through the use of pictures and sentences become important since they are integrative and meaningful for students in organizing the information and concepts of a book. This paper describes the significance of the textbook in socializing and internalizing the moral characters as well as gender equality.

Abstract

College has an important role in nation building. Therefore, university governance systems need to get serious attention and appropriate management touches. One of the modern management concepts that can be used is balanced scorecard, which is expected to improve the quality of the institution. This research uses qualitative approach of case study type with research setting at STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur. The results showed that; improvement of education quality in STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur is done through; 1) visionary leadership, 2) internal and external environmental analysis done with SWOT analysis, 3) to make quality as "Spirit" in every organizational activity by implementing quality-based, oriented management; a) Costumer Satisfaction, b) continous improvement, c) full involvement of the academic community, d) continous improvement. In order to improve the quality of education with Balanced Scorecard approach, STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur focuses on four perspectives, namely; financial perspective, costumer perspectives, internal perspectives and development perspectives of development and growth are very effective in improving the quality of education. From several Balanced Scorecard perspectives applied in STAIS Sangatta Kutai Timur, the most dominant internal perspective on the effectiveness of quality improvement of education, followed by learning and growth perspective, costumer and finansial.
