Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan kegrafikaan pada buku ajar Grafika untuk mahasiswa Desain Komunikasi Visual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan grafika (ukuran font keproporsionalan, variasi dan kemudahannya huruf, daya tarik warna dan penempatan tata letak) pada buku ajar. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan melalui tinjauan pustaka dan literatur yang relevan untuk kemudian di analisis deskriptif sehingga diperoleh standar grafika yang sesuai dalam mengembangkan buku ajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilengkapi dengan data kuantitatif yang tercantum dalam lampiran. Objek yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah beksan golek menak putri, sementara subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas 3 jurusan seni tari di SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan, Bantul. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menjadi kendala dalam pembelajaran beksan golek menak putri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa temuan, yaitu: (1) sekitar setengah dari siswa kelas tiga menganggap bahwa beksan golek menak putri merupakan materi yang cukup menantang, (2) kesulitan dirasakan terutama pada teknik gerak yang tergolong baru, seperti ogek lambung/unjal ambegan dan gerakan patah-patah, (3) dalam hal penggunaan properti, siswa merasa tombak merupakan properti yang cukup sulit digunakan karena memerlukan tenaga fisik yang kuat, (4) irama dalam beksan golek menak putri dianggap lebih mudah diikuti dibandingkan dengan menghitung ketukan, (5) frekuensi pembelajaran yang berlangsung dua kali dalam seminggu dirasa belum mencukupi, mengingat materi ini tergolong baru dan memiliki cukup banyak perbedaan dengan Tari Klasik Gaya Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of visual art learning through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in enhancing students' interest in creating artworks. This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. The results show that the application of the PjBL model is highly effective in fostering students' interest in creating artworks. PjBL proves to be a learning model that aligns with the characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students. This model teaches students to collaborate, take responsibility, and work independently to complete their projects. Additionally, the study highlights a supporting learning strategy to enhance students' interest in creating artworks, namely the implementation of an outing class learning strategy. This strategy is essentially understood as learning conducted outside the classroom. Students benefit greatly from the actualization of the outing class strategy, including fostering a love for nature and their environment, stimulating their creativity and imagination, and increasing their motivation through direct interaction with nature. In this study, the author assigned a project task to create educational posters. Through this project task, students gained meaningful learning experiences and the values of the Pancasila student profile, such as collaboration, independence, teamwork, discipline, and the spirit of mutual cooperation.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNurhaida, 2024. This research was motivated by the low level of student creativity in learning fine arts in the classroom. Many students feel they have no interest or talent in this field, so they tend to be passive during the learning process. Therefore, this research aims to increase students' creativity in arts and culture learning, especially in fine arts learning through the application of creative learning to class X.3 students at SMAN 9 Makassar. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which involves a series of activities including planning, implementation, reflection and follow-up. Research data will be obtained through filling out questionnaires by students and direct observation of the learning process. The research results show a significant increase in student involvement in fine arts learning after implementing the creative learning model. The percentage of student involvement increased from 26% in pre-cycle to 66% in cycle I and reached 86% in cycle II. These findings confirm that implementing a learning model using the TaRL approach can be an effective strategy for increasing students' creativity in the fine arts learning process.

Abstract

The implementation of the entrepreneurship model in education today is something that needs to be considered optimally. Therefore, an understanding is needed related to the implementation of the entrepreneurship model in the world of education. Some entrepreneurship models in education include integrated models in learning, learning through extracurricular activities, habituation of culture and values in all activities and school atmosphere, and Entrepreneurship Subject models. Thus, the implementation of the entrepreneurship model does not always have to be fixated on one model, but can be combined from several entrepreneurship models, which can be named an integrated entrepreneurship model.  With this model, entrepreneurs in the world of education must be able to implement it optimally so that the implementation process can run more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis praktik Saman Pentas dengan pendekatan genealogi wacana Foucault. Fokus kajian pada pembatasan 15 artis Saman Pentas di Gayo Lues sebagai representasi budaya yang terbentuk oleh relasi kekuasaan dan kebijakan budaya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pembatasan ini bukan hanya keputusan teknis, tetapi bagian dari kontrol estetika dan legitimasi pemerintah, meski memicu ketegangan dengan masyarakat dan seniman lokal. Praktik Saman Pentas menjadi ruang negosiasi antara pelestarian tradisi, diplomasi budaya, dan tuntutan industri kreatif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa seni pertunjukan tidak lepas dari relasi kekuasaan dan dapat memperkaya diskursus kebijakan budaya.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low interest in learning among students in cultural arts education classes. Many students feel unmotivated and lack enthusiasm for learning due to unengaging and unimpressive teaching methods, which result in students being passive during the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to enhance students' interest in learning cultural arts by implementing engaging, varied, and innovative teaching methods for tenth-grade students of SMAN 13 Makassar. This study employs Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), which involves a series of activities including planning, implementation, reflection, and follow-up. The research data were collected through student questionnaires and direct observation of the learning process. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students' interest in learning cultural arts following the application of engaging teaching methods. The percentage of student engagement increased from 32% in the pre-cycle phase to 59% in cycle I and reached 87% in cycle II. These findings confirm that implementing engaging teaching models can be an effective strategy to enhance students' interest in learning cultural arts.

Abstract

This study aims to map global research trends in the field of graphic design education over the past two decades (2004–2024) using a bibliometric approach based on Scopus data. A total of 538 documents were analyzed, focusing on keyword frequency, author collaboration networks, and citation distribution across countries. Visualization was conducted using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny to identify thematic clusters and the most productive authors. The analysis revealed that topics such as graphic design, design education, and visual communication design were the most dominant keywords. Authors such as Maria Cutumisu, Elmarie Costandius, and Asrul Huda ranked among the most productive contributors, while China, the United States, and Indonesia emerged as the top-cited countries. These findings reflect the growing role of technology, artificial intelligence, and pedagogical innovation in design education. This study provides strategic insights for academics and policymakers to foster international collaboration and adapt design curricula in response to global dynamics.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing teaching materials for appreciating traditional Toraja wood carving art for senior high school students in North Toraja Regency. The teaching material is presented in a booklet titled Getting to Know Toraja Wood Carving Art, aimed at testing its practicality and effectiveness. The subjects of this study were 20 senior high school students who agreed to participate in the trial use of the booklet. The participants consisted of 13 students from Senior High Schools (SMA) and 7 students from Vocational High Schools (SMK). The collected data were analyzed with the following results: (1) The Getting to Know Toraja Wood Carving Art booklet was effective in teaching Senior High School (SMA) students but not yet effective for Vocational High School (SMK) students; (2) The booklet was considered practical as a learning resource for both SMA and SMK students; (3) The booklet is deemed suitable for broader trials with SMA students. However, for SMK students, the booklet needs revision. It is recommended that relevant authorities facilitate follow-up actions related to the Getting to Know Toraja Wood Carving Art booklet.

Abstract

Wayang kulit merupakan salah satu wujud seni tradisi yang sangat identik dengan wujud seni yang berkembang di masyarakat Jawa. Dalam masyarakat Jawa khususnya di wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta terdapat jenis wayang kulit dengan gaya pedalangan. Wayang kulit pedalangan gaya Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu hasil budaya yang terinspirasi dari tari kostum tari tradisi. Beberapa macam wayang ornamen yang terdapat pada kulit akan mempengaruhi karakter pada sebuah tokoh. Penulis meneliti tentang wayang kulit pedalangan gaya Yogyakarta ini bertujuan agar masyarakat luas dapat lebih mudah dalam mengenal jenis, bentuk maupun macamnya. Pada wayang kulit ini terdapat beberapa keunikan corak yang menjadi ciri khas. Secara umum Wayang Kulit pedalangan memiliki nilai estetika dan berkembang di daerah masing-masing sesuai dengan kemajuan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu dengan melkukan wawancara, riset secara langsung ke beberapa narasumber serta mengumpulkan bukti dengan pendokumentasian kemudian dipaparkan ke dalam penulisan agar dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu referensi dalam dunia pedalangan.
