Abstract

The domain of the activity is technology for the society whereas the focus is practical computer science for the society. The background of our activity is based on the needs of YPK junior high school in Malang city, Indonesia. The school need to develop computer-based school report card and also daily grade card for teachers. The method for software/application development is spiral model which consist of the cycle of system identification, risk analysis, and enhancement of the prototype to be an operational prototype. Evaluation of the product was based on the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ) from IBM. The CSUQ using 5 scale of Likert scale contains three categories: 1) system usefulness (SYSUSE), 2) information quality (INFOQUAL), and 3) interface quality (INTERQUAL). The mean rank’s result in order from the greatest to the lowest is SYSUSE, INTERQUAL, and INFOQUAL, respectively. It was reported that SYSUSE category was superior to INFOQUAL (U = 3369.5, p = 0.0005). Overall, the user satisfaction score is 78.4%, which is in the “worthy” category

Abstract

Developing entrepreneurship for the students should be done starting from of primary and secondary education. The major obstacles experienced by the school in general are not the inclusion of entrepreneurial material in the curriculum contained in the school subjects. Similarly, the partner in this case MTs Al Fatah Singkawang. The constraints that the partners of the community service Program are the limitation of capital (cost), human resources, technology and also the location of land that is narrow enough to implement activities for students. Program activities are conducted with hydroponic vegetable cultivation and catfish cultivation with Bioflok technology which is carried out by 30 students MTs Al Fatah and also involve the practitioners of hydroponic vegetable cultivation and also fish farming practitioners Catfish with Bioflok system. This activity was held from May 2019 until December 2019. Hydroponic vegetable farming and catfish cultivation activities with Bioflok technology started with the preparation of cultivation media until the process of cultivation. Results show that students can already practice vegetable cultivation in hydroponics and fish farming with BIOMAXI technology and this activity plays a major role in cultivating the entrepreneurship of students.

Abstract

Not all teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs)’s public of Sumber Bungur have the ability to adapt to Information and Communication of Technology(ICT) development. Especially in the management of technology-based applications.Whereas with the rapid development of technology, teachers ' knowledge of technology must be mastered in order to support success in learning. The goal of this devotion is to introduce blended learning and motivate teachers to apply technology in learning.The participants of the devotion are representatives of the teacher teachers in the subjects at MTs Sumber Bunga as many as 14 people. Before the devotion carried out the participants were given Pretests aims to know the initial knowledge of participants related to the model of learning, utilization of ICT and blended learning, the result teachers are less utilizing ICT in learning and yet Know about blended learning. Whilethe results of the dedication gained data that the participants experienced an increase in knowledge about blended learning. Participants can also utilize the app Edmodo and quiz creator that supports teachers to apply blended learning. The poll stated that participants responded well to the implementation of devotion. They want to apply blended learning in learning after knowing its usefulness.

Abstract

This community service program aimed at empowering H-Fish aquarium Assesories small business to become independent and developed. A business may be considered as developed if it meets criteria such as increasing revenue, increasing product variation, efficient production, good packaging, and good management system that meets standard. In order to achieve that goal, the researcher gave sequencial trainings including training in operating and maintenance the machine production, training in packaging product and label design, training business management that meets standard and training in product variation. Besides, the researcher also helped to improve product marketing including renovating production side and building showroom to display the product to attract potential buyers. The results of this community service were increasing revenue since the product variation is increasing and the packaging was also improved to be more attractive. H-Fish Aquarium Assesories developed well because of efficient production, good business management, and wider marketing.

Abstract

The demands of the development are increasingly advanced with the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, of course, requires teachers to be proficient in mastering teacher competencies, not least in the use of learning media. But in the learning process there is still a lack of learning media. In addition to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, teachers are still limited in the preparation of administration and learning devices only. In the implementation of the learning process there are still many teachers who use the expository learning model. This is due to the low level of knowledge of SD Negeri Meteseh teachers in making innovations and learning media that implement scientific approaches. The low knowledge of teachers about learning media innovations has the effect of less motivated students in the learning process, especially 3-dimensional learning media. For this reason, the proposing team provided a solution in solving these problems, namely by planning a training program for the teachers of SD Negeri Meteseh in making Learning Media. Learning media in the form of Pop Up Book for elementary school teachers. The result of this activity is that most teachers have never received pop up book learning media training. The teachers gave a positive response to the activities carried out. Teacher creativity in making learning media in the form of pop-up books increases. With the pop-up book the teacher can provide real concepts in the form of 3D images to students at the elementary level. In addition, basic literacy especially in reading skills of elementary students also increases..

Abstract

People in general, consumes food which is homecooked or buying finished products every day. Many types of prepared fast foods used food additives such as preservatives, flavorings agents, sweeteners etc. Additives which being used must be safe for consumption in a certain limit. The community service was held to the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten in order to quickly detect additional ingredients of fformaldehyde and rhodamine in food and using a test kit. The target is to increase the knowledge and skills of the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten students to detect and test foods containing formaldehyde and rhodamine B because the commons does not yet understand between safe and prohibited food additives. This workshop can improve the quality of health in the school and family environment. The training was done by lecturing method, practicing rapid detection and using a test kit and followed by discussion. The results of the community service showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten in detecting foods containing formaldehyde and rhodamine B.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the leading potentials in the region, especially villages, which can be maximally developed to improve community welfare. One of the attractions in Malang Regency which has tremendous potential to be developed is Coban Pandawa, which is located in Sukodono Village, Dampit District, Malang Regency. The tourism object is managed by the Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) of Sukodono Village since the end of 2018, but in its journey, Pokdarwis has not understood the role, main tasks and functions of managing a tourist attraction, so that in the end pokdarwis experienced a vacuum in 2019. This community service activity aims to revitalize Pokdarwis organizations so that they can become independent and professional organizations in developing Coban Pandawa. Activities will be divided into three stages, namely, the awareness stage, the legality stage and the capacity-giving stage. The results of the community service activities were the equalization of the vision between the Sukodono Village Government and Pokdarwis, the legality of the Pokdarwis organization from the Sukodono Village Government and the Malang Regency Office of Tourism and Culture (Disparbud), and the Coban Pandawa development blueprint.

Abstract

Mathematics is a human activity carried out in daily life both consciously and unconsciously such as measurement (geometry) or arithmetic calculations, but in its implementation there are still many who find it difficult to understand mathematics. The availability of instructional media is one of the factors that is less optimal in class learning. The activity of this community partnership program aims to introduce Information and Communication Technology(ICT) in learning and provide training to design teaching materials using ICT. The methods of implementing community partnership activities are training, the formation of a training team for trainers (TFT) and ICT-based teaching materials. The results of the implementation of these community partnership activities are the activities of the community partnership program by conducting training by transferring knowledge and technology to create learning designs for mathematical realistic worksheets based on ICT to get positive responses from SDIT teachers in one of West Bandung regencies. ICT training for mathematics teachers must be developed so that they are more skilled in using ICT in the learning of mathematics in class and are skilled at making ICT-based learning designs and to make use of them in the revolutionary 4.0 era.

Abstract

Bongkot village has many people suffering from mental disorders. There are around fifty people suffering from mental disorders. Prediction of mental disorders at table three is usually done through interviews. Cadres need to fill out the form provided on the Towards Healthy Soul Card (KMSJ) at the interview. The form needs to be filled out based on the results of the interview to predict whether the interviewee has a mental illness or not. If the results of the interview are predicted to have a mental disorder, the cadre will recommend appropriate follow-up. This process is certainly prone to mistakes because it only depends on cadre knowledge. Predictions will certainly affect the recommendations given. in this community service program, the authors propose to apply Information Technology (IT) to reduce the risk of such errors. The system is named the Mental Health Posyandu Management Information System (SIM). The system is expected to be able to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services at the posyandu, the output of this service produces an online-based application related to the service of mental health posyandu with the address www. poskeswa.com.

Abstract

Learning in primary schools largely depends on the role of the teacher, because at the elementary school age students still tend to need teachers as a source of knowledge and direction in solving a problem. Learning in partner primary schools has problems relating to instructional media especially Indonesian language learning media and mathematics. This stimulus community partnership program aims to provide solutions to problems in the partner school of Public Elementary School of Melong Mandiri 4 Cimahi so that the teachers become skilled at designing and making learning media. These problems include the unavailability of adequate learning media; the teacher's skill is not optimal in designing and making innovative learning media. The solution offered in this program is training in designing and making innovative and interesting learning media on Indonesian language and mathematics lessons, namely takalintar media, geoboard, serial images, paper puppets, KPK boards and FPB, for ICT-based media using Powerpoint and Geogebra. This training was conducted using lecture and discussion methods as well as the practice of making instructional media. The results achieved from this activity are there is an increase in the skills of teachers in making innovative learning media by 40%.
