Abstract

In this 21st century era, technology plays a significat role in language teaching and learning process both inside and outside the classroom  This study is intended to describe the language education lecturers’ opinion and the students’ opinion on the use of storybird as web-based technology for literacy skills by using case study design. The subjects of the study were the language education lecturers and the students who joined  writing class in STKIP PGRI Pasuruan in the academic year 2018-2019. The instruments used  were  interviews and document analysis. Three findings are revealed from the study. Firstly, 81% of the language lecturers used web-based technology  for their teaching, but only very few of them were familiar with storybird platform. These  lecturers agreed that storybird was beneficial to sharpen  the students’ literacy skill. Secondly,  the majority of the students (73%)  believed that the use of storybird helped them to write better. Two appealing aspects of storybird which encouraged students to read and write  were its beautiful pictures and its freedom for everyone to use, while the weakness laid in the requirement to be online  and the difficulty to download the story.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan peranan Soft Skill dan Minat baca terhadap kemampuan Menulis Eksposisi pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI A  dan XI B  SMA Al-Ikhlas Kota Bekasi,sebanyak 44 siswa. Metode penelitian ini memakai analisis statistik deskriptif. Pengolahan data dengan memakai SPSS 22 . Teknik pengambilan data memakai Sampel Random Sampling . Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, angket dan Tes.Soft Skill dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan Menulis. Kemampuan menulis Eksposisi tergambar siswa yang mempunyai soft skill katagori baik sebesar 45.5%.19 siswa katagori cukup (43.1 %)  dan siswa katagori  kurang sebanyak 5 siswa (11.4%). Siswa  yang  mempunyai minat  baca katagori baik sebanyak  11  siswa   (25 %), 4 siswa katagori cukup (9.1 %) dan 29 siswa kategori kurang (65,9%). Pada kemampuan menulis siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan menulis katagori baik sebanyak 18 siswa (41 %) , cukup sebanyak 13 siswa (29.5 %)  dan kurang  sebanyak 13 siswa ( 29,5%).

Abstract

This study aims to provide the design of the flipped learning instructional model for teaching Indonesian Political System course at an Indonesian higher education institution. A bottom-up of flipped learning model based on Blooms’ taxonomy of cognitive domain was developed. Social media WhatsApp group was employed as a platform to share the recorded YouTube video lectures for students’ learning activities outside-of-class. Before students attend class, they have prepared with the lesson’s content, hence in-class activities are utilized for homework, hands-on activities, and group discussions. In other words, watching, summarizing, and note-taking are the main activities proposed by a researcher outside of the classroom, whereas Socratic questioning through a group discussion is the main activities in the classroom. This study suggests that the bottom-up of flipped learning model is potentially implemented for teaching any social studies course at any higher education institution, with the aim of promoting students’ highest level of cognitive domains or higher-order thinking skills. This study has implications for Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) or policymaker to determine the flip-class pedagogy as a contemporary teaching model for teaching any course in Indonesian higher education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and create an innovation in the world of education, namely the use of WEB pages that are used as online PR media. This research method uses research and development methods. The results in this study are found that the WEB page is very innovative when used as a medium in online homework, because teachers can monitor students who are learning or not. The novelty in this study is that the use of WEB pages as a homework media or homework has not been used in Indonesia. In this WEB page students cannot see the answers of other students, because this WEB system is confidential. One student has their own identification number to access this WEB, so it allows students to not be able to see their friends' answers. In addition, parents can monitor student learning activities while at school and their grades directly through the WEB. And can be done clinics between teachers and parents of students when students at  school make mistakes.

Abstract

In PGMI Program STAIN Al-Fatah Jayapura quality of learning still little bit unsatisfied, because by following the acreditatuon score is C. Based on the fact, implementation management of strategy program PGMI still don't applied yet optimally. This matter affected by number of human resources still limited at homebase of PGMI and theres is not certain duty yet, even head of program education, so all the decision is centered on course department. The aim of this research is to find out the implementation ofmanagement strategy and instructional’s quality of PGMI study program. Based on the result of the data this research has management of strategy in the PGMI Program there were: a.) planning of the learning activity through making learning activity schedule that consist of kind of subjects and list of supported lecturer b.) conducting learning activity in PGMI Program when it conducted as learning schedule and RPS. c.)  controlling/supervising based on : lecturer journal, lecturer teaching daily journal, lecturer absent and lecturer questionaire. d.) evaluation learning activity was applied clearly from lecturer or students. For lecturer through first meeting and the last semester. Meanwhile, evaluation for students through ; active and present score, individual task nor group that given by lecturer, mid-term test, last-term test, and comprehensive test in the end of study.

Abstract

Problem-based learning connects new problems that exist in daily life. It optimizes the ability to think through the process of group work and experimental activities. The students have difficulties in solving problems. They have little experience and are not highly motivated. It makes them unable to explore what students have. The conventional methods lack of training in critical thinking for students. This causes students to lack confidence to play an active role in the learning process. Based on these problems, the present study therefore developed the Indonesian language learning materials for Grade 7 at the junior high school level using the Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

Need for innovation in learning is absolutely necessary in the face of the era of digital progress or can be called the industrial revolution 4.0. digital learning intend to present a new situation and atmosphere in learning to students, because conventional learning is not in accordance with the current learning situation of students. The method used in this scientific work is a literature study that is relevant discussion on this scientific work. Learning using flipbook digital is an alternative solution to support student learning in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. learning will be very varied and interesting in terms of visual and audiovisual appearance. So that the use of flipbook digital learning media is a smart solution to present an atmosphere of learning in the classroom that is more interesting, communicative, interactive and supports students' understanding of the material that has been delivered by the teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mengembangkan Program PLEPAH sebagai media kreativitas anak usia dini di Sekolah Alam Sabila, (2) Mengetahui Keefektifan program PLEPAH sebagai media kreativitas anak usia dini. Metode penelitian menggunakan RD Brog and Gall. Subjek pengembangan adalah sampah, sedangkan subjek penelitian ialah siswa TK kelompok A Sekolah Alam Sabila. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar catatan lapangan dan lembar observasi untuk melihat implementasi program PLEPAH. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Program PLEPAH sebagai media kreativitas anak usia dini telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan layak untuk digunakan. Kriteria valid diperoleh dari dua orang ahli materi dengan rata – rata skor masing – masing 3,59 dan 3,63 yang menunjukkan kriteria Sangat Valid. Sedangkan rata – rata skor keseluruhan pengguna menunjukkan 3,59 yang termasuk dalam kategori Baik. Program PLEPAH dapat berjalan optimal dengan adanya sinergi yang erat antara siswa, guru dan orang tua/wali murid sebagai warga sekolah. Program PLEPAH juga teruji efektif digunakan sebagai media kreativitas anak usia dini. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil uji efektifitas menggunakan uji wilcoxon zhitung sebesar -3.4341.

Abstract

The quality of English learning in high schools (SMA) needs to be improved to achieve better target competencies. One effort that can be taken is to improve the quality of teaching materials. From a number of instructional materials or textbooks of English language, it seems that improvements still need to be made, especially related to the pragmatic elements contained in the textbook. Teaching materials that present a pragmatic approach are still very limited.This study aims to find out about the forms of English language teaching materials and develop them with a pragmatic approach in order to improve the quality of learning. The research method used is research and development. Data collection techniques used in this study through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires. Research development procedures include information gathering, planning, developing initial product forms (product design), field testing, and product revisions. Analysis of the data used is qualitative and quantitative analysis.The results of this study in the form of findings about the form of cross-interest program teaching materials for high school students tend to use the Englis To Pathway Specialization Program written by M. Sudarwati and Eudia Grace published Erlangga Publishers. The results of the development of English teaching materials in the cross-interest class X program with the pragmatic approach emphasize on systematic: (a) basic competence, (b) social function, teaching and learning activities, (c) topic, (d) linguistic element, (e) definition, (f) exercise / assignment, and (g) pragmatics corner.Development of English language teaching materials is dynamic. Therefore, it requires further research in the field of English for specific purposes, especially teaching materials for cross-interest programs for science and social studies programs in high school.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri 4.0 yang tak dapat dibendung menjadikan metode pembelajaran berbasis digital menjadi tuntutan baru dalam dunia pendidikan. Melalui media pembelajaran digital yang bervariatif dan menarik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah Pelayanan Publik. Metode v-learning sebagai salah satu solusi bagi pengajar atau dosen dalam melakukan perkuliahan secara virtual atau dengan kata lain perkuliahan tidak harus dilakukan secara konvensional di ruang kelas.Dalam penelitian pengembangan v-learning Matakuliah Pelayanan Publik menggunakan metode penelitian ADDIE. Metode penelitian tersebut dengan mengedepankan 5 (lima) tahapan, yang meliputi: Analyze (analisis), Design (desain), Develop (pengembangan), Implement (pelaksanaan), dan Evaluate (evaluasi). Dengan menggunakan metode tersebut, maka langkah-langkah penelitian yang akan diambil oleh peneliti adalah (1) Merancang Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) yang berisi rancangan kegiatan dan perkuliahan v-learning yang akan diberikan kepada mahasiswa; (2) Peneliti membuat v-learning untuk perkuliahan; dan (3) Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan akhirnya disusunlah laporan penelitian ini serta tersusunnya laporan penelitian. Data yang telah dihasilkan selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan tabel, grafik, dan pemaparan data yang dikolaborasikan dengan konsep maupun penelitian terdahulu.
