Abstract

The research aims to analyze the obligations of orthodontists in independent practice regarding waste management and their legal responsibilities for environmental pollution caused by the waste from orthodontic treatment materials.The study focuses on the legal responsibilities of orthodontists in managing waste to prevent pollution arising from the disposal of materials used in orthodontic treatments. This research employs a legal research method with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate Independent practice orthodontists, in addition to working to provide health services and as managers of independent practices, have a legal obligation to manage the waste of orthodontic treatment materials produced in accordance with applicable regulations in Indonesia. the obligation to manage the waste produced includes the obligation to reduce, sort, temporarily store and cooperate with other parties for waste transportation and treatment. Independent practice orthodontists are legally responsible for environmental pollution arising from the impact of poor management of orthodontic treatment material waste, where legal responsibility includes administrative responsibility if independent practice orthodontists intersect with the problem of violation of permits and waste management procedures. Civil law liability, namely in the form of compensation and recovery of damage to the aggrieved party, and criminal law liability, namely if the orthodontist commits an unlawful act.

Abstract

The rise in cases of medical disputes involving hospitals makes it important to monitor health provider internally and externally to ensure hospital quality assurance and to protect the community from all possible causes that could pose a danger to public health, as well as providing legal certainty to the community and hospital management. This research analyzes the authority of Surabaya City Health Service in carrying out law enforcement if there are any findings in hospital supervision and also analyzes what obstacles arise in hospital monitoring throughout Surabaya City. The research methodology used in writing thesis is normative juridical and the research approach uses a statute approach and a conceptual approach. This research concludes that The Law on Health gives authority to Regional Governments to supervise every implementation of health services, while PP No. 28 of 2024 gives authority to Regional Government to monitor and evaluate hospitals, but law enforcement authority is only given to the Central Government in the form of imposing administrative sanctions. Obstacle arise in hospital supervision activity include the lack of technical instruction for implementing norms, standards, procedures, and criteria so that scoring model for supervision of hospital business licensing through the OSS system cannot be implemented..

Abstract

This study examines the design of a collaboration between SMEs producing goat milk soap and the Hilton hotel chain, aiming to identify an effective and sustainable partnership model. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involves in-depth interviews, observations, document analysis, and focus group discussions with various stakeholders. The results reveal that successful partnerships require knowledge and technology transfer, production capacity enhancement, quality standardization, and joint marketing strategies. The findings indicate significant potential for improving SME competitiveness, diversifying hotel products, and promoting local economic development. However, challenges such as differences in operational scale, investment needs, and regulatory adaptation need to be addressed. The proposed partnership model emphasizes the importance of long-term commitment, human resource development, and integration of sustainable practices. This research contributes to the understanding of SME-large enterprise partnership dynamics and offers practical implications for policymakers and business practitioners.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of Smart Traffic Management (STM) technology on traffic efficiency and carbon emissions on Jalan A.P. Pettarani, Makassar City, by using a field data collection method before and after the implementation of STM which includes the average speed of vehicles, travel time, and traffic volume. The results showed that after the implementation of STM, the average vehicle travel time was reduced from 25 minutes to 20 minutes, reflecting a significant decrease of 20%, while the waiting time at major intersections was also reduced by 35%, indicating an increase in vehicle flow during peak hours. In addition, carbon emissions data shows a decrease from 180 grams per km to 148 grams per km per vehicle, which means an 18% reduction in carbon emissions due to reduced vehicle idle time and smoother traffic flow. This study also identifies challenges in the implementation of STM, such as limited telecommunication infrastructure and lack of socialization to road users, and provides recommendations for local governments to integrate STM technology with public transportation policies to support sustainable development and improve the quality of urban transportation systems.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a significant problem that is often faced by major cities around the world, including Makassar, which not only affects travel efficiency, but also negatively impacts the environment and the quality of life of residents; This study aims to optimize the urban transportation system by developing a computer-based traffic simulation model that is able to analyze and take into account various variables that contribute to congestion, such as traffic volume, vehicle movement patterns, and road geometry, where field data shows that the traffic volume at peak hours reaches 4200 smp/hour, with 65% of vehicles consisting of cars and motorcycles, the average speed of vehicles ranges from 15-20 km/h, the waiting time increases by 3 minutes when congestion occurs, CO2 emissions increase by 5 tons/day, and the level of Urip Sumoharjo road service which results in LOS E values and travel times increase by 10 minutes due to congestion; The results of this analysis are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of various transportation system optimization scenarios, including traffic signal adjustment, traffic direction regulation, and the addition of special lanes for specific vehicles, so as to reduce congestion and improve the efficiency of the overall urban transportation system, which is ultimately expected to improve the quality of life of Makassar residents and create a better environment sustainable for future generations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and social economy status on financial management behavior among soldiers of Battalion Armed 2/Kilap Sumagan. A quantitative approach was used with multiple linear regression methods to examine the relationships between these variables. The findings indicate that financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and social economy status have a positive and significant impact on financial management behavior both individually and simultaneously. These results highlight the importance of financial knowledge, confidence in financial decision-making, and socio-economic conditions in shaping better financial management habits. The implications of this research can serve as a basis for policies aimed at enhancing financial literacy and effective financial management among soldiers.

Abstract

In the era of rapid infrastructure development in Indonesia, the efficiency of road planning has become crucial in optimizing the utilization of regional budgets. This study compares two flexible pavement design methods: the newly introduced Pavement Design Manual (MDP) 2024 and the long-established Component Analysis Method, focusing on district roads in Lunang Subdistrict. The results of this study demonstrate that MDP 2024 not only produces a pavement design that is 4% thinner but also potentially reduces the budget by up to 9%. Detailed analysis reveals that the estimated cost required for a 3.1 km road pavement using the Component Analysis Method is IDR 9,162,006,089, while MDP 2024 requires only IDR 8,277,185,847, resulting in a substantial saving of IDR 884,820,242. These findings present significant opportunities for local governments to reallocate funds to other critical sectors without compromising infrastructure quality. Beyond a mere technical comparison, this research offers a blueprint for transformation in regional development planning, promising long-term positive impacts on the local economy and quality of life. With broad potential for application throughout Indonesia, this study is relevant not only to planners and engineers but also to policymakers and the general public concerned with sustainable development and public budget efficiency.

Abstract

Pentingnya manajemen proyek infrastruktur dalam mendukung pembangunan daerah. Hal ini mencakup tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Dinas PUPR Kabupaten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas manajemen proyek yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas PUPR untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan atau kegagalan proyek infrastruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods), yang mengombinasikan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada staf Dinas PUPR dan wawancara mendalam dengan pejabat terkait. Analisis statistik dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi data kuantitatif, sedangkan analisis tematik digunakan untuk data kualitatif. Metode ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai efektivitas manajemen proyek infrastruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas manajemen proyek dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, termasuk perencanaan yang matang, pengelolaan risiko, serta keterlibatan masyarakat dalam proses pembangunan. Data menunjukkan bahwa 75% responden menganggap bahwa proyek infrastruktur yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas PUPR memiliki tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi, namun masih terdapat tantangan terkait keterlambatan dan pembengkakan biaya pada beberapa proyek. Selain itu, hasil analisis juga mengungkapkan bahwa komunikasi yang baik antara semua pemangku kepentingan berkontribusi positif terhadap keberhasilan proyek. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan prinsip-prinsip manajemen proyek yang baik dan keterlibatan aktif dari semua pihak terkait untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proyek infrastruktur di Dinas PUPR Kabupaten Nabire. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan agar Dinas PUPR terus mengembangkan sistem monitoring dan evaluasi yang lebih efektif untuk proyek-proyek mendatang, serta meningkatkan pelatihan bagi staf mengenai manajemen proyek yang efisien. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik manajemen proyek di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and advances in information technology, companies must leverage e-business strategies to remain competitive in an increasingly tight market. This study aims to map effective e-business strategies to enhance corporate competitiveness. The research employs qualitative and quantitative methods with a descriptive design, involving interviews with company executives and e-business managers and distributing questionnaires to employees implementing e-business strategies. The findings reveal that applying e-business strategies, including artificial intelligence technology and supply chain integration, significantly improves operational efficiency and customer experience. Furthermore, companies that adopt holistic and integrated e-business strategies are better positioned to adapt to market changes and meet customer expectations. The implications of this research highlight the need for companies to design and implement e-business strategies that encompass information security aspects and employee engagement to enhance their competitiveness in the continuously evolving digital era. Thus, this research provides important insights for companies in optimizing their e-business strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of marketing communication based on local wisdom in Kampung Wisata Keranggan, identify the challenges encountered, and determine optimization strategies to enhance tourist attraction. Utilizing a phenomenological qualitative approach, this research analyzes in-depth interviews with village tourism managers, local communities, tourists, and representatives of local government. Additionally, it employs the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) theory as a framework to understand the consistency of messages conveyed through various communication channels. The findings reveal that communication approaches based on local wisdom, such as the promotion of traditional dances, handicrafts, and folklore, have successfully created an authentic image and attracted tourists. However, several challenges affect the effectiveness of these strategies, including limited funding, insufficient digital marketing skills, and inadequate access to technology. Moreover, inconsistencies in the scheduling of cultural activities pose significant challenges. To improve the effectiveness of marketing communication, the recommended optimization strategies include diversifying promotional content, enhancing the quality of digital infrastructure, providing marketing training for local communities, and strengthening collaboration with external stakeholders. By implementing these measures, Kampung Wisata Keranggan can fortify its position as a competitive and sustainable cultural tourism destination. This study is expected to provide practical contributions to the development of marketing communication strategies based on local wisdom and serve as an academic reference for further research in tourism marketing.
