Abstract

This research was conducted to examine how the role of school principal leadership in realizing independent learning that can produce graduates according to the needs and demands of IDUKA. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri Kota Bogor. The results of this study indicate that in realizing independent learning at school, the role of the principal as 1) leader is needed, the principal is sufficiently understanding about the important points of independent learning, this is shown through the principal's response which is realized in activity programs in schools that are oriented towards competence of teacher expertise. And supported by efforts to build communication and openness between school principals and teachers so that trust is created in each other, and 2) managers, principals utilize and develop resources in schools including coaching teachers, as an important element in carrying out a learning process that can produce qualified graduates. This effort is made through a teacher apprenticeship program. In addition, the principal encourages teachers to be creative and innovative so that they can create an achievement through the work they produce.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the extent which Zoning System Policy at the Junior High School Elementary Education level is running. The method in this study uses a Literature Study that utilizes national journals from various sources, one of which is Google Scholar. The results of the study show that the zoning system has an impact on several schools that do not get students so that they cannot meet the predetermined quota. The zoning system is a new policy issued by the government in order to overcome educational problems in Indonesia, one of which is equal distribution of education. The zoning system is one of the paths of the PPDB system by using the measurement of the radius and distance from the student's house to the destination school. In its implementation, the zoning system policy still raises pros and cons to community groups. In addition, the zoning system also has an impact on 5 aspects including aspects of effectiveness, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. However, the process of implementing the zoning system is considered quite good, but it is still necessary to pay attention and improve several things so that the objectives of the zoning system policy can be realized.

Abstract

This article departs from the assumption that leadership in Islamic boarding schools applies an authoritarian-paternalistic and laissez-faire leadership model, making it less effective. This article used a descriptive analysis approach, this article analyzes the Abuya (leader) leadership model at the MTI Pasir Islamic Boarding School in managing conflict. This article finds that Abuya not applies authoritarian-paternalistic and laissez-faire leadership, but charismatic-democratic. When a conflict occurs, Abuya with his charisma brings together the conflicting parties and conducts deliberation and consensus. The conflict management carried out by Abuya was able to provide positive energy for the development and progress of the MTI Pasir Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Pemerintah melakukan banyak cara untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, salah satunya adalah dengan diberlakukannya Undang-undang Badan Hukum Pendidikan atau yang lebih dikenal dengan istilah UU BHP. Tetapi ketika pemerintah mengambil langkah untuk merealisasikan UU BHP, banyak terjadi kontroversi yang menyebabkan undang-undang tersebut mengalami pasang surut dalam implementasinya. Demo-demo mahasiswa tidak terelakan untuk meneriakkan aspirasi mereka. Para pakar pendidikan angkat berbicara, diantara mereka ada yang pro dan ada yang kontra. Dengan adanya pro dan kontra dari para pakarnya maka sangat perlu bagi kita untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis sejauh mana makna dan manfaat dari diberlakukannya Undang-undang BHP.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya kinerja guru dan kepala TK di Kota Bandung. Untuk mewujudkan kinerja yang baik diperlukan kompetensi kerja guru dan kepemimpinan pembelajaran (instructional leadership) kepala TK. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kontribusi kompetensi kerja guru dan kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala TK terhadap kinerja mengajar guru TK di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan populasi berjumlah 2.216, dengan sampel 299 guru TK di Kota Bandung. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kompetensi dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi kerja guru berada pada kategori cukup dan umumnya variabel kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala TK dan kinerja mengajar guru cenderung berada pada kategori sangat baik. Uji korelasi ketiga variabel menunjukkan hubungan positif. Kompetensi kerja guru berkontribusi cukup tinggi terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. Sedangkan kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala TK berkontribusi tinggi terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. Secara simultan kompetensi kerja guru dan kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala TK berkontribusi tinggi terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. Rekomendasi penelitian ini yaitu : 1) Adanya upaya peningkatan kompetensi kerja guru TK baik secara individual maupun kelembagaan, 2) kepala TK harus mempertahankan kepemimpinan pembelajaran, meningkatkan pemantauan serta pemberian umpan balik terhadap proses belajar mengajar, 3) rekrutmen guru dan kepala TK hendaknya mempertimbangkan kualifikasi pendidikan calon guru dan kepala TK.   Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Kerja Guru, Kepemimpinan Pembelajaran, Kinerja Mengajar Guru AbstractThis research is motivated by not maximal performance of teachers and principals of kindergartens in the city of Bandung. To achieve good performance necessary competence and leadership of teacher learning (instructional leadership) principals of kindergartens. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of teacher competence and leadership learning kindergarten head of the kindergarten teachers' teaching performance in Bandung. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach, and a population of 2,216, with a sample of 299 kindergarten teachers in Bandung. Collecting data using competency tests and questionnaires. The results showed competence of teachers working in the category fairly and generally variable learning leadership and performance of teaching kindergarten head teachers tend to be in very good category. The third variable correlation test showed a positive relationship. Job competence of teachers is high enough to contribute to the performance of teachers to teach. While the head of the kindergarten instructional leadership contributing to the performance of teachers to teach high. Simultaneously, work competency of teachers and instructional leadership kindergarten head height contributing to the performance of teachers to teach. Recommendations of this study are: 1) There is an effort to increase the competence of kindergarten teachers work both individually and institutionally, 2) principals of kindergartens should maintain instructional leadership, improve monitoring and providing feedback on teaching and learning, 3) recruitment of teachers and the head of the kindergarten should consider qualifying education prospective kindergarten teachers and principals.                                           Keywords: Competence Of Teachers’ Work, Leadership Learning (Instructional Leadership), Teachers' Teaching Performance
