Abstract

Hypertension is one of the main causes of cardiovascular disease that currently has a significant increase. One of the treatments for hypertension is a non-pharmacological approach performed with the intervention of tera gymnastics. This review aimed to determine the effectiveness of tera gymnastics in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. A scoping review with PRISMA-ScR guidelines was performed to identify relevant studies from Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar. The inclusion criteria included full-text articles in Indonesian or English, quasi-experimental design, and published by journal institutions from 2015-2024. From six articles included, a diversity of samples, instruments, and interventions was found. Samples were adults to elderly with stage I to stage II hypertension who had measured using aneroid, mercury, and digital sphygmomanometer instruments. These samples were engaged in tera gymnastics sessions 2 to 3 times a week for periods ranging from 1 to 8 weeks. Despite these diverse characteristics, all studies consistently found that tera gymnastics has effectively reduces blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

A long with technological advancements and societal demands for services, public service providers are required to meet the expectations of the community in delivering services. One of the efforts that must be made in improving public services is conducting community satisfaction surveys. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of public satisfaction with the services received. The survey is conducted periodically using a descriptive method approach, where the measurement employs the Likert Scale. The respondents in this study were determined based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, consisting of 70 men and 105 women. This survey was conducted at the Sungai Kapih Health Center in Samarinda City from July to October 2024. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and interviews with respondents who came to the health center. The results of this survey indicate that the complaint and facility elements have a lower satisfaction index compared to other elements. This is caused by the Sungai Kapih Health Center, which is currently providing services at a temporary location in a rented shop, where one of the components that can influence customer satisfaction is direct evidence or physical evidence (tangibles), namely facilities and infrastructure that can be felt directly or physically by customers. It is hoped that after the renovation process is complete, services can run smoothly, with better and more adequate facilities and infrastructure so that patient expectations and comfort are met. Patient satisfaction is a benchmark in the performance of public services, so it is necessary to immediately meet the expectations of the community regarding the provision of facilities and infrastructure in services at the health center.

Abstract

Production processes in the palm oil industry pose hazards and risks of occupational accidents. PT XYZ's Palm Oil Mill (POM) unit recorded 15 accident cases in 2021-2023. This study aimed to identify occupational health and safety (OHS) hazards and assess risks at each stage of CPO production at PT XYZ's POM unit using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. This study involved all workers at PT XYZ's POM unit. Primary data were collected through field observations and questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from company documents. Data analysis included descriptive analysis and risk assessment using the HIRARC method. There were significant differences in risk levels between units. The Loading Ramp had the highest risk due to the intensity of activities, work at height, and heavy equipment movement. The Sorting, Sterilizer, Thresher and Digester, Press, Clarification, and Kernel units had medium risk, while the Weighbridge had the lowest risk. Human factors were the dominant cause of occupational accidents. Risk control recommendations were formulated based on the hierarchy of controls, including elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Abstract

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in public health centers by December 31, 2023, as mandated by the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022, faces challenges in human, organizational, and technological aspects. This study evaluates the EMR system in public health centers in Padang using the HOT-FIT method through a mixed-method approach conducted from April to June 2024. Quantitative data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of 72 respondents (doctors, medical record staff, nurses) and qualitative data from 48 informants (heads of health centers, medical record staff). The findings indicate that in the human aspect, system usage was rated good (54.2%), but user satisfaction was low (58.3%). Organizational aspects, including structure (52.8%) and environment (54.2%), were rated good. In the technology aspect, system quality (51.4%) and information quality (56.9%) were rated poor, while service quality was rated good (62.5%). The net benefit aspect (55.6%) highlighted EMR's contribution to improving work efficiency and effectiveness. Challenges include insufficient training, low technological literacy, network disruptions, inadequate infrastructure, weak patient data security, and incomplete patient records. The study recommends the development of a mayoral regulation to address these challenges and enhance EMR implementation in Padang.

Abstract

People experience a natural aging process that causes changes in physical, biological and psychological conditions. These changes can lead to depression. Sensory stimulation in group therapy is used to provide sensory stimulation to the senses in order to express what is felt so it can help in reducing the symptoms of depression. This study aims to determine the effect of sensory stimulation group therapy on the level of depression seen from the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) score. The study was a one group pretest-posttest design with a sample size of 40. The research instrument used the GDS-30. Sensory stimulation group therapy was given 8 times. The characteristics of the research results were dominated by female samples, middle adulthood age category, non-working category and marital status still having a partner. Wilcoxon test p = 0.000 means p-value < a (0.05) indicates that sensory stimulation group therapy affects the GDS score. Sensory stimulation group therapy has an effect on reducing GDS scores because some of the activities provided are able to maintain individual sensory function and the implementation of group therapy has a positive effect on social life.

Abstract

Gender roles and work stress are factors that can influence the performance of healthcare workers, particularly nurses. In a hospital setting, differences in gender roles often affect job satisfaction and performance, while work stress can be a barrier to achieving optimal performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of gender roles and work stress on nurses' performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires from 140 nurses at RSUD dr. H. Jusuf SK in North Kalimantan Province using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results show that gender roles positively affect both nurses' performance and job satisfaction, whereas work stress does not have a significant impact on performance or job satisfaction. Additionally, job satisfaction is proven to mediate the relationship between gender roles and performance but does not mediate the relationship between work stress and performance. These findings reinforce the notion that job satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing nurses' performance, especially in the context of gender roles. Practically, the results of this study provide implications for hospital management to develop more inclusive policies regarding gender roles and stress management strategies to improve nurses' performance. By doing so, RSUD dr. H. Jusuf SK in North Kalimantan Province can create a more supportive and conducive work environment for all healthcare workers.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are complaints often experienced by workers who work in non-ergonomic conditions. The Kisaran Fantasi workshop is one of the car repair shops where workers bend, stoop, bend their wrists, and squat repeatedly when repairing cars for a long time. This causes workers to often feel pain in the back, calves, and numbness in the wrists. This study aims to determine the relationship between tenure and work posture with complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) in mechanical workers at the Kisaran Fantasi car repair shop. The method in this study is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique of 55 workers. This research was conducted in January 2025. The analysis used in this study used univariate and bivariate tests and the chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between length of service (P-value = 0.048) and work posture (P-value = 0.005) with complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) in the Fantasy Range workshop. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between length of service and work posture and Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints in the Fantasy Range workshop, all of which have a p-value > 0.05. Advice for workers to pay attention to posture while working, and advice for auto repair shop owners to provide additional assistance, such as wellness programs or referrals to medical specialists, for workers who are sick.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited number of systematic studies mapping the role of stakeholders in tuberculosis (TB) elimination efforts, despite the critical importance of this issue in achieving global health targets and the Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of this study is to analyze the landscape of scientific publications related to the role of stakeholders in TB elimination during the period 2014–2024. The focus of the study includes publication trends, main themes, topic focus intensity, and conceptual evolution. The method used is bibliometric analysis based on secondary data from 415 journal articles obtained through the Publish or Perish tool and selected using Mendeley. Furthermore, visual analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to generate keyword co-occurrence maps, density maps, and temporal maps (overlays). The results indicate that scientific discourse is still dominated by medical themes and the implementation of public health programs. However, in recent years, there has been an increase in attention to the concept of broader stakeholder engagement, including corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the adoption of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence. These findings support the urgency of a multisectoral approach to TB elimination, as emphasized in stakeholder theory. The conclusions of this study highlight a shift in research direction toward recognition of the contributions of non-traditional actors and technological innovation. Implications for practice
