Abstract

North Aceh Regency almost every year experiences flooding due to heavy rains, both due to rain in the area and flooding of shipments due to heavy rains in neighboring districts namely Bener Meriah. Judging from the time of the incident, heavy rains always occur in the final months of each year. The duration of rainfall is two, namely: (a) short duration and (b) long duration. The second limit is the duration of rain 24 hours (1 day), so that the duration of rainfall is long if the time of occurrence is longer than 24 hours. For tropical climates such as the Aceh region known to experience two seasons, namely: a) the rainy season and b) the dry season in terms of climatology, the rainy season is identical to the occurrence of flooding. The dry season or rainy season are related to the time of year, for example the flood season occurs in the final months of each year, the dry season occurs in the middle of the year, especially for the North Aceh region. The objectives of this study are (a) to obtain information on the relatively heavy rainfall distribution pattern for long duration rainfall events, namely 1-day, 3-day, 5-day and 7-daily. (b) Knowing the timing of flood events is calculated based on the movement of the sun. The data used is daily rainfall data obtained from the Lhokseumawe Meteorological Station from 1986 to 2016. The results of the analysis are to find out the maximum rainfall for 1-day, 3-day, 5-day, and 7 daily. Because what was investigated was the pattern of rain, the partial series method was used, namely the possibility of some data being taken in one year. The results of processing data show that the highest incidence of 1-day maximum rainfall occurs in the IV quadrant or week 52 which is equal to 45.9%, in this case the highest number of flood events will occur when the sun moves towards the south. To identify heavy rain events that can cause flooding based on station rainfall data correlated with debits recorded on AWLR (Automatic Water Level Recorder). From the results of the identification that there was an increase in river discharge in November and December.

Abstract

The cliff in the Mutiara Palas Indah housing estate, Rumbai Bukit sub-district, Rumbai sub-district, Pekanbaru City, which experienced a landslide at the end of 2019, was caused by quite heavy rain. So it is necessary to plan soil reinforcement using cantilever type retaining walls using reinforced concrete to avoid landslides, with the results of the analysis of the landslide area using the simplified bishop method, the safety factor on this cliff has (F = 1,388 ) after getting the factor value If it is safe, it is planned that the dimensions of the cantilever type retaining wall have a height (H) = 6 meters, a wall thickness (H1) = 0,6 meters, a soil height in front of the wall (H2) = 0,7 meters, a wall height from ground level H3) = 4,7 meters, width (B) = 3,6 meters, the width of the front wall tread (B1) = 1,2 meters, the thickness of the lower wall (B2) = 0,6 meters, and the wall thickness (B3) = 0,4 meters. Then the results obtained are stability against overturning Fgl =3,604 1,5 (okay), stability against shear Fgs =2,279 1,5 (okay), and stability against bearing capacity collapse F = 18,218 3 (okay).

Abstract

The Aceh Disaster Management Agency office is a government office that provides services to the community in implementing disaster management activities in a planned, integrated and comprehensive manner in the pre-disaster, emergency response and post-disaster stages. One of the important things in preventing fire hazards is an emergency response plan, namely taking the form of action in the event of a fire emergency or "Emergency Response" as well as the provision of adequate fire fighting equipment for fire prevention as an effort to prevent people, buildings and their environment from being avoided. wider fire hazard. Seeing the importance of fire handling measures in the office building, it is necessary to conduct an “Emergency Response” assessment with the appropriate standards. The methodology used is the mix method combining qualitative and quantitative data with data collection, namely using secondary data in the form of a Banda Aceh City Map, BPBA Office Building Layout, literature, Permen PU, journals related to this research and primary data consisting of observations of conditions BPBA office, interview and questionnaire. The respondents used are all employees who work in the BPBA office totaling 115 people with a pilot study of 30 people. From the analysis of research data on 26 (twenty six) variables, there are 7 (seven) variables that score small or poorly and it can be interpreted that those variables need attention to make changes. A strategy that can be carried out based on the SWOT analysis is to form a fire preparedness team that is equipped with education and training in an integrated and comprehensive plan; prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for fire disaster management based on statutory regulations; perform routine and continuous building fire simulations; and strengthening other active protection systems, including making water hydrants, fire alarms and smoke detectors.

Abstract

The pedestrians’ sidewalk is part of the transportation infrastructure in the city that has a role and function in providing service and convenience to the citizen. One of the cities that actively build pedestrian sidewalks is Banda Aceh. There were some problems in the sidewalk; the up and down sidewalk, slippery surface, high ramp, and many other obstacles. Thus, this research aimed to measure the pedestrians' satisfaction in three streets in Pasar Aceh, namely Chik Pante Kulu street,  K.H. Dahlan street, and Diponegoro street, by using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The analysis result indicated that most pedestrians’ sidewalk facilities need to prioritize their performance improvement. It was concluded from the sidewalk performance in the three streets evaluation. The dominant average value is "poor" and "moderate." Based on the gap value,  The five variables in Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu Street and the three variables in K.H. Dahlan Street were positive. However, it did not describe that the pedestrians’ sidewalk was good because the respondents considered the variable less important. Thus, the value of importance in the variable is lower than its performance value. The performance of the pedestrians’ sidewalks in the variable was "poor" and "moderate" (it did not include in the "good" category). The average index value of  Customer Satisfaction was 60% on the three pedestrians’ sidewalks, indicating that Customer Satisfaction was low and improvement was necessary for the future.

Abstract

Tsunami evacuation buildings in the tsunami-prone zone area are essential to minimize the number of fatalities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavior of the existing building structures caused by earthquake and tsunami loads in the Baitussalam District. The existing buildings that were reviewed were the SD 1 Lambada Klieng Building and the Syahamah Aceh Putra Foundation Building. The methodology in determining the capacity of the existing structures by conducting a field assessment to obtain data on existing buildings which will then be modeled, both existing buildings and a potential design of buildings using structural analysis software. for analysis. The results of the analysis show that the existing buildings need to be strengthened and redesigned to be able to withstand the effects of earthquake and tsunami loads. The remodeled of the buildings included modifying the column dimensions and also additional building stories. The remodeled of the existing building structures to become the tsunami evacuation structures is safe enough against earthquake loads and tsunami loads that occur.

Abstract

Land acquisition for the Jambo Aye Kanan Irrigation Network of ± 35 kilometers was started in 2010 and is currently around 28 kilometers or ± 70% of the total land acquisition. The Lhok Guci irrigation network of ± 90 kilometers was started in 2007 and is currently around 45 kilometers or ± 50% of the total land acquisition. It can be concluded that if the land acquisition has not been completed, the project work will be carried out as an addendum. In general, a contract addendum is an addition to the main agreement. Additions or changes that are attached cannot be separated from the main agreement, must remain in accordance with the unity of the agreement. Addendum to this contract can be made even though the term of the agreement has not ended, as long as all parties agree. Based on the description above, the problems identified are what factors are causing delays in land acquisition and the impact of the land acquisition process on the project time. This study aims to identify the effect of the land acquisition process on the achievement of project time performance. The results of this study are expected to be one of the references and information to overcome the problems that have resulted in delays in the completion of the Jambo Aye Kanan irrigation network project and the Lhok Guci irrigation network. The method used in this research is correlation analysis. The results of the correlation analysis using the SPSS application that have a relationship with the land acquisition process on the achievement of time performance are funds/funding, coordination and price. The result of the highest correlation analysis of the factors that influence land acquisition on time performance is the price variable. The correlation of the variables that affect land acquisition with laws and regulations on the time performance variable has a high correlation.

Abstract

Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) is an alternative for planning, repairing, and strengthening structures. FRP is a combination of fiber as reinforcement and resin as adhesive. Reinforcing materials can be made of carbon, aramid, glass, and natural fibers. Utilization of Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer (NFRP) FRP with natural fibers can be more economical. The natural fiber used in this research is abaca fiber which is often found and is not used for structural reinforcement. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in shear strength of reinforced concrete beams with different widths of NFRP abaca fiber. NFRP Abaca fiber is fully wrapped (complete wrapping) on the surface of the reinforced concrete beam. The study was conducted on four reinforced concrete beams measuring 15 cm x 30 cm x 220 cm with simple support with two load points to determine the effect of abaca fiber width on increasing the shear strength of the beam. One specimen as a control test object and three specimens reinforced with Abaca Fiber NFRP with variations in fiber width of 2.5 cm, 5 cm, and 7.5 cm, respectively. The test results show an increase in the shear capacity of reinforced concrete beams as the fiber width increases. The flexural failure occurred in the test object with a width of 7.5 cm, this was the case that the shear capacity of the beam had exceeded the flexural capacity of the beam.

Abstract

Sri Ratu Safiatuddin Street is one of the central areas of trade and culinary tourism in the city of Banda Aceh. The activities on this road vary, causing overcrowding and disruption to the performance of public facilities, including the pedestrian paths. The dysfunctional and dilapidated pedestrian path facilities cause pedestrians unable to fully utilize these facilities. Ideally, the existence of good and acceptable pedestrian path facilities can protect pedestrians from danger when concurrently using the street with other modes of transportation. Based on the above problems, this study aims to examine the conditions of the existing pedestrian path facilities on Sri Ratu Safiatuddin Street in order to meet the standards set by the Ministry of PUPR in the Guidelines for Technical Planning of Pedestrian Facilities Number 02/ SE/M/2018, divided into three aspects, namely safety, health, and environment. The data analysis method used is a quantitative method with quantitative descriptive analysis tools, which is to compare the standard criteria of technical planning guidelines for pedestrian facilities with the real conditions. The peak time for volume of pedestrians the highest was 105 pedestrians/15 minutes, the highest volume of pedestrians was 66 pedestrians/hour and the highest volume of two-way traffic was 1787 vehicles/hour. For the value of PV² = 1,5 x 108, P = 61,25 (pedestrians/hour), V = 1607 (vehicles/hour) and an average speed of 40 km/hour, a crossing recommendation is obtained in the form of a zebra crossing. The results obtained were the condition of the existing pedestrian lane facilities on Jalan Sri Ratu Safiatuddin, which showed a value of 44,02% of the facilities that had met the standard.

Abstract

Lightweight concrete has a lower density than regular concrete. Foam concrete is one type of lightweight concrete. Aceh is one of the earthquake-prone provinces in Indonesia. Ferro foam concrete as a material to reduce the risk of earthquakes is an option. Ferro Foam Concrete is a composite material that combines wire mesh and foam concrete. Aside from its high load carrying capacity, lightweight, and ease of manufacture, this material have several advantages. Afifuddin et al. researched Canal Profile (C) configured to I using Ferro foam concrete (2013-2014). According to the findings of this study, the girder's weakness was that it experienced flexural failure during the test and that the ability of the girder as the I profile was not fully achieved due to the merging of two C profiles. The I profile does not fully achieve the size of the wings and body, which is calculated as an integral part of the I profile. As a result of this issue, the author wishes to conduct additional research on the subject. This research aimed to determine the shear capacity of the load-receiving system. The I Profile is the first of three samples to be created. BU 1 has three layers of wiremesh and measures 225 mm wide, 450 mm high, and 90 mm thick. BU 2 has four layers of wiremesh and measures 225 mm wide, 450 mm high, and 90 mm thick. Speciments 3 has four layers of wiremesh and is 300 mm wide, 600 mm high, and 120 mm thick. Reinforcement of test samples with D8 mm and D13 mm (steel screws) and wiremesh 3, 4, and 4 layers. SG 1.6 with FAS 0.4 and pozzolan at 10%. The results of the research on the shear capacity of the profile I 450-225-90-3L from the laboratory results were 11,855 tons, and from the theoretical obtained 12.007 tons. For the I profile of 450-225-90-4L, the laboratory results have a shear capacity of 12.730 tons. In comparison, the theoretical yield is 13.394 tons, and the shear capacity for the I profile of 600-300-120-4L is 21.150 tons and based on theoretical 24.462 tons.

Abstract

Population growth is increasing rapidly every year. The increase that occurs will affect the need for transportation in order to make it easier for humans to meet the needs of life and carry out daily activities. The motorcycle is one of the modes of transportation in Aceh that is greatly increasing. The increase in motorcycle ownership is not matched by increased awareness of traffic safety by road users, which will have an impact on the increase in the number of accidents, the human factor has a high contribution effect on traffic accidents. WHO (2018) reports the number of deaths based on road users in Indonesia, where 74% of a number of deaths are contributed by motorcycle riders. This study aims to identify personal characteristics, unsafe and aggressive-related driving behavior, and the feeling of anxiety towards traffic safety for motorcycle users in Banda Aceh City. The data used in this research will be collected in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar using the Driving Behavior Inventory (DBI) instrument through the “self-reporting” approach by using Google form online questionnaire given to 300 respondents. Multivariate SEM CFA model to analyze the causal relationship between personal characteristics, unsafe and aggressive driving behavior, and the feeling of anxiety towards traffic safety. The results showed that the errors had a significant effect of 0,146 on safety and violation had a significant effect of 0,453 on driving safety. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the driving errors and violations factor committed while driving has a significant effect on unsafe behavior. Driving safety is the most determining factor for unsafe driving behavior. This shows that unsafe behavior by motorcyclists is one of the factors causing motorcycle accidents in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.
