Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Guidance and Counseling (GC) program at Islamic-based junior high schools using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). A descriptive-evaluative method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analysis. The participants included 109 students, a school counselor, the principal, subject teachers, and parents, selected purposively. Findings indicate that the context component received the highest score (3.9), reflecting strong alignment between the program and students’ needs. The product component scored 3.5, suggesting a positive impact on student behavior, learning motivation, and psychological well-being. These outcomes are illustrated through a bar chart highlighting each aspect of the CIPP model. However, the input component recorded a lower score (2.8), indicating limitations in professional staffing, infrastructure, and institutional support. The process component also showed a moderate score (3.2), revealing that the program remains largely reactive and lacks optimal implementation of preventive strategies such as classroom guidance. The study concludes that while the GC program demonstrates moderate effectiveness, it requires further improvement in strategic planning, digital documentation, and long-term evaluation practices. Recommendations include developing a more comprehensive evaluation instrument and strengthening preventive services that are responsive to students' evolving needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ABCD5E learning model in the national character cultivation development class at PAUD Labschool Unnes which includes planning, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the ABCD5E learning model in the national character cultivation development class. The subjects in this study were the principal, class teachers, and students of the national character cultivation development class and GTK partners of the ABCD5E learning model. This study uses a qualitative method, through interview techniques, observation and documentation. Then the validity is carried out by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the ABCD5E learning model at PAUD Labschool UNNES shows comprehensive results in creating a holistic, child-centered, and character development-oriented learning environment. The results of the study also show that there are several supporting and inhibiting factors, namely collaboration between teachers and parents in project planning, support from academics (UNNES PGPAUD lecturers) and the education office in curriculum validation, supporting APE, facilities and infrastructure and curriculum flexibility that allows teachers to innovate according to their competencies. While the inhibiting factor is the difficulty of teachers in observing children one by one during the learning process.

Abstract

The study has been conducted in the student development planning agency, as well as in the interest of implementing the initial literacy of the aisfal 54 semarang development system, focusing on both the application of the methods and the role of the existing educators in the aisfal, as well as in introducing the initial literacy to students. Data generated in the research is obtained through mechanical observation methods and structured interviews. As for the results of findings obtained in this study which include: (1) the use of learning methods such as, picture stories, journal, words, and game accretions, in promoting differentiated learning (2) teachers play as creators, facilitators, dynamitators, motivators, and evaluators in creating interactive and fun learning environments, invigorating students, and providing learning designs that meet students' needs. This finding affirms that in dealing with the challenge of students' learning ability, the teacher requires proper planning from the teacher in adapting the learning plan to the student's learning ability.

Abstract

Children's development greatly benefits from the ability to recognize the alphabet because it helps them prepare to become readers. The purpose of this study was to gain an in-depth understanding of the emerging phenomenon in the field regarding the role of teachers in helping young children recognize letters. To collect data for this study, researchers used a qualitative research strategy, involving the collection of information from various sources, including journals, articles, interviews, direct observations, and field observations. Based on the research findings, teachers use various techniques to help young students learn to recognize letters. These techniques include phenotypic approaches, visual methods, and kinesthetic methods. Visual methods, which involve the use of letter cards or digital media, have made it easier for children to recognize letters and become more engaged in learning. However, some children still cannot distinguish letters, and teachers have noticed this has been happening since the beginning of the school year or after the lesson. The root of the problem is a lack of experience memorizing letters before entering school. Because it is so important for children's learning process, parents and the surrounding community also assist teachers.

Abstract

The term “intensity” refers to the strength of behavior related to the level of energy used to express emotions. In general, intensity is defined as the manifestation of an individual’s effort to achieve the desired goals. This study aims to analyze the impact of the intensity of social media use on social interaction and learning interest in Buddhist Religious Education among students of private junior high schools in Makassar City. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive and correlational design, using data obtained from questionnaires. The sample consists of 100 Buddhist junior high school students, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression and correlation tests. The results indicate a positive and significant influence between variable X and Y1, showing that the intensity of social media use significantly affects students’ social interaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.334, a t-value of 4.576, and a significance level of <0.001. Meanwhile, regarding the relationship between variable X and Y2, the findings show a positive and significant influence of social media use intensity on students’ interest in learning Buddhist Religious Education, with a regression coefficient of 0.393, a t-value of 5.357, and a significance level of <0.001. These findings demonstrate that social media plays a role in facilitating communication and social relationships, both inside and outside the school environment. The study concludes that learning interest has a very strong and significant effect on students’ social interaction. Thus, students who have high interest and motivation in learning tend to be more active in interacting with their social environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the STEM approach in science learning on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of fourth-grade students, especially in the material of the state of matter and its changes. Data collection in this study was carried out using multiple-choice tests at the beginning and end of learning. Data analysis was carried out according to quantitative data through calculating the average pre-test and post-test scores, by conducting descriptive statistical analysis tests, classical assumption tests in the form of normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests with the help of SPSS. The average pre-test score before the treatment was 15.05 to 24.68 in the post-test using the PjBL learning method. The results of this study indicate that students' literacy and numeracy skills increased significantly after the application of the STEM approach and the PjBL learning model. This is evidenced by the results of the paired t-test, namely sig <0.05 or 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of the STEM approach has an impact on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of fourth-grade students of SDN 5 Ngawen.

Abstract

Information and Computer Technology plays a vital role in supporting effective and efficient learning processes, particularly in the context of Islamic Religious Education, which requires a relevant approach to current developments. This study aimed to examine the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the form of digital modules in Islamic Religious Education learning at Jatisari 05 Public Elementary School, Kedungreja, Cilacap. The integration of ICT in the form of digital modules in learning is expected to enrich teaching methods, increase student motivation, and facilitate broader access to information. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of ICT for students in understanding Islamic Religious Education material at Jatisari 05 Public Elementary School, Kedungreja, Cilacap. This research method used a mixed method that combines quantitative and qualitative forms. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using an experimental design approach with the help of linear regression to test the impact of ICT use on students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material at SDN Jatisari 05 Kedungreja Cilacap, while qualitative data were analyzed using a descriptive analytical approach. The results of this study indicate that the integration of ICT in the form of digital modules in PAI learning can improve student understanding, strengthen learning motivation, and provide a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. This digital module is suitable for use as an alternative PAI learning medium, with the note that technical improvements and teacher mentoring are still considered to maximize its benefits. In addition, further support is needed from the school and the government in terms of providing infrastructure and improving teacher competency in the IT field.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the problem-based learning thematic module to improve students' critical thinking skills. To determine the practicality of the problem-based learning (PBL) thematic module to improve students' critical thinking skills at SDN 2 Kembang Keranggara Daya on the theme of 7 events in life of grade V. To determine the effectiveness of the thematic module (PBL) to improve students' critical thinking skills at SDN 2 Kembang Keranggara Daya on the theme of 7 events in life of grade V SD/MI. This research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) development model (1) The results of the material expert validation of the problem-based learning thematic module developed by the researcher obtained a score with a "very good" category (2) The results of the student response questionnaire on the effectiveness of using the thematic module developed by the researcher obtained an overall score of 67.73 respondents and was in the range of X 63 with a "very good" category (3) The results of the student test in understanding the material in the thematic module obtained a score of 1,091 with an average of 72.73 in the complete category. The use of learning modules should encourage students to be active and learn independently, both at home and at school.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of STEAM-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in science lessons, improving critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study uses the (R&D) method with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The trial subjects were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 3 Borok Toyang. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, observations, and critical thinking ability tests. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the language, material, and design expert validation were 80%, 88%, and 81%, respectively, the LKPD was declared very feasible. The results of the teacher and student response questionnaires with a feasibility percentage reached 94.6% and 95.8%. The results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills, the N-Gain value was 0.6 (60%) and classical completeness was 70%, the small group test increased to 100%. The conclusion of this study is that the STEAM-based LKPD developed is stated to be very valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a counseling guidance module based on the philosophical values of the traditional dance Sawung Blanggreng as a medium for implementing a growth mindset to improve students’ learning motivation at SMK Trunojoyo Jember. The background of this research stems from the problem of low learning motivation caused by the dominance of a fixed mindset among students, which makes them tend to give up easily when facing academic challenges. To address this issue, the study integrates the noble values of Sawung Blanggreng, which are rich in me$ning—courage, perseverance, togetherness, spirituality, and discipline— deemed in line with the spirit of the growth mindset. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) and a mixed- method approach that combined qualitative data obtained through interviews, observations, and expert validation with quantitative data derive$d from pre-test and post-test results. The product developed was a counseling guidance module and a learning model called “Sawung Aktif Berkarakter,” validated by material experts, media experts, and teachers, with results showing a “valid” category (70%–80%), thus deemed feasible for use in learning prior to limited implementation with eleventh-grade students. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant improvement with a significance value of 0.027 (<0.05), indicated by an increase in the students’ mean score from 74.74 to 77.43. These findings prove that the integration of Sawung Blanggreng values is effective in fostering a growth mindset while simultaneously enhancing students’ learning motivation.
