Abstract

This study aims to determine the praxis of digital literacy carried out in the English learning process at Citra Kasih High School based on the global digital literacy competency framework developed by UNESCO. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to describe the practice of digital literacy in learning English at Citra Kasih High School. The results showed that there were seven areas of digital literacy competence that were applied in the English learning process at Citra Kasih High School, namely: 1) hardware and software; 2) information and data literacy; 3) communication and collaboration; 4) digital content creation; 5) security; 6) problem solving; 7) career-related competencies. In conclusion, the indicators of digital literacy skills initiated by UNESCO for the digital community, in general, can be used in the English learning process in particular. The seven digital literacy competency areas applied in learning English at Citra Kasih High School are implemented in preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Cooperative Script pada keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain the randomized posttest only control group. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes unjuk kerja dengan aspek penilaian struktur kebahasaan laporan hasil observasi dan aspek kebahasaan laporan hasil observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar menulis teks prosedur antara model pembelajaran Cooperative Script dan metode konvensional dengan Thitung yang lebih besar dari Ttabel (2,562> 1,684). Simpulan, hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Cooperative Script lebih baik dari pada hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of graphic narration learning techniques on writing explanatory texts for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Guguak. The method used in this study is a quantitative experiment. The research design used a pretest-posttest control group. Sampling is done using probability sampling (random sample). The results showed that the mean value obtained was 93 with tcount of 4.023 (> ttable = 1.684). In conclusion, there is a significant difference between the explanatory text writing skills using graphic narration learning techniques compared to students taught using conventional methods at SMK Negeri 2 Guguak. Abstract

This study aims to identify the form of inconsistency in the translation results of Facebook Automatic Translation and to find out the translation procedure that should be processed by Facebook Automatic Translation. The method used is an indirect observation by observing the uploads of Facebook users, which means it feels awkward. The technique of collecting data in this study used simple random sampling. The study results indicate that there are deviations from the results of the translation carried out by Facebook, thus triggering misperceptions that can be a problem for readers. In conclusion, the inconsistency in conveying the Source Language (SL) meaning to the Target Language (TL) is caused by the absence of equivalent words, especially the source language originating from Balinese. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the mastery of PUEBI with the skills of writing text reports on the results of observations. The research method uses correlation with quantitative types. Sampling was done using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument is an objective test and a performance test. The results showed that the average value of PUEBI and the value of the observation report were both 76 with good qualifications. The rcount obtained is 0.9030 and tcount 11.3193 with degrees of freedom n-2 (31-2=29), and a significant rate of 0.05. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between PUEBI and the observation report. Keywords: Writing Observation Report Text, Mastery of PUEBI

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between reading habits and students' reading comprehension. The method used is quantitative research through a correlation approach. Sampling was carried out using the theory of Non-Probability Sampling with the Sampling technique. The research instrument used questionnaires and multiple-type objective tests. The study results show that the students' reading habits are categorized as special, with an average score of 80, at the mastery level of 76-85%. Students' reading comprehension results are classified as good, with an average count of 73, which is on a scale of 66-75%. The tcount obtained is 2.36 and ttable 2.056. In conclusion, there is a relationship between reading habits and reading comprehension of students of the Indonesian Language Education study program who take the Reading Skills course at Bung Hatta University. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student learning creativity on reading ability. The research method used is an ex-post-facto quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were Buddhist students of class VII in Pagentan District, totaling 22 people. The results showed that the significance value obtained was 0.00. As for the consequences of data analysis, the contribution of learning creativity to reading ability is 59.5%. In conclusion, there is a significant effect between learning creativity and reading the text of Gautama Buddha's biography in English. Keywords: Learning Creativity, Quantitative, Reading

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the form of feminism hegemony in Women with the Turban narrative discourse by Abidah El Khalieqy. This research method uses a qualitative approach to literature or content analysis. The primary data source in this research is the novel Perempuan Berkalung Surban by Abidah El Khalieqy. The data collection technique in this study used library techniques and was analyzed using a hermeneutic model. The presentation of the analysis results is prioritized in an informal way rather than a formal one so that the description can be explained in more detail. The study results indicate that the hegemony of feminism is revealed through the conversations of the characters and expressive actions that are seen in the words and behaviors that lead to the assertiveness of the female characters. In addition, a shift in the ideology of feminism was found in the narrative discourse. In conclusion, the hegemony of feminism is revealed through the conversations and actions of the characters in the form of refuting, debating, persuading, influencing, suing, reacting and actions related to sexual activity. Abstract

This study aims to determine the social aspects of the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif. The method is a descriptive qualitative method with a sociological approach. The results showed that the social aspects of the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif consist of social groups, culture, social institutions, social stratification and power and authority. In conclusion, the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif contains many social aspects to serve as material for reflection and lessons for readers that can be used as experiences and references in everyday life. Abstract

This study aims to describe the perspective of Javanese culture in the poetry of campursari songs and its implementation in sociolinguistic learning at the Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu Lampung. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The results show that the Javanese cultural perspective consists of wayang mythology which includes the concepts of jumbuhing kawula gusti and sangkal paran; the slametan ritual includes social and religious aspects; Javanese ethics, namely the attitude of narima, being patient or aja kesusu-susu, tepa selira, aja ngaya, and aja srakah. This concept is implemented in the Sociolinguistics course by guiding language speakers (teachers) on how to use language in their lives by showing the language, variety of languages, or language styles used when talking to certain people at a specific place and time. In conclusion, the Javanese cultural perspective in the campursari song contains three aspects, namely wayang mythology, slametan, and Javanese ethics.
