Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy and digital payment systems on financial management behavior, with financial inclusion as a mediating variable, among digital payment users in South Kalimantan. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that financial literacy and digital payment systems have a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion. Financial inclusion also has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior. However, financial literacy and digital payment systems do not have a direct significant effect on financial management behavior. Financial inclusion does not mediate the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior, but acts as a full mediator in the relationship between digital payment systems and financial management behavior. These findings confirm that digital payment systems influence financial management behavior through increased access to and utilization of formal financial services. Practical implications are directed to Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPKAD) of South Kalimantan to integrate digital financial literacy education with the expansion of financial inclusion.

Abstract

This study examines the nonlinear relationship between inflation and unemployment in Indonesia using a panel threshold regression model. Utilizing data from 34 provinces over the period 2016–2023, the analysis identifies a single significant inflation threshold at 1.9 percent. Below this threshold, inflation significantly increases the open unemployment rate, whereas inflation above 1.9 percent reduces unemployment. The results remain robust when the sample is divided into pre-COVID (2016–2019) and post-COVID (2020–2023) periods, although the relevant thresholds rise to 2.68 percent and 3.11 percent after the pandemic. Higher per-capita income, regional economic output, and educational attainment significantly lower unemployment, while higher minimum wages, poverty levels, and democracy scores are associated with higher unemployment. These findings support the short-run Phillips Curve in a regime-dependent framework and highlight the importance of maintaining moderate inflation above the identified thresholds, accompanied by policies that strengthen human capital and income growth. The study contributes to the literature by providing the first provincial-level threshold estimates of the inflation–unemployment nexus in Indonesia and by incorporating institutional and human-capital controls.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the allocation of the State Budget (APBN) in the education and health sectors on the Human Development Index (HDI), as well as the influence of the HDI on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during the 2005–2024 period. The analytical methods used include Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), the chain rule in differential analysis, and the Granger Causality test to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results show that government spending in the health sector and education have a positive and significant effect on the HDI. Furthermore, the Human Development Index (HDI) has a positive effect on Indonesia's GDP. Furthermore, GDP and HDI are also found to have a one-way causal relationship with the APBN in the education sector. This means that changes in the HDI and GDP significantly influence budget allocation in the education sector. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening budget allocations in the education and health sectors to support human development and accelerate national economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital, good corporate governance, and firm size on firm value, and to test the moderating role of financial performance in technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024. Secondary data were collected from annual reports using purposive sampling, resulting in 24 companies (93 observations after transformation). The analysis employed multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results indicate that intellectual capital, firm size, and financial performance have no significant effect on firm value. Good corporate governance shows a positive coefficient significant at the 10% level; however, this finding should be interpreted with caution because the overall model does not meet the goodness-of-fit criterion (Sig. F = 0.300) and has a very low explanatory power (Adjusted R Square = 0.010). Financial performance also fails to moderate the relationships between the independent variables and firm value. These findings suggest that the variables in the model are insufficient to explain variations in firm value in the technology sector during the observation period. Future studies are recommended to include additional variables and apply more suitable analytical approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of green market orientation and digital transformation on the green performance of MSEs with green innovation as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires from MSEs in Jambi Province and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that green market orientation has a positive and significant effect on MSEs' green performance, both directly and through green innovation. Meanwhile, digital transformation has a negative effect on MSEs' green performance, but contributes positively to green innovation. Green innovation is proven to be a significant mediating variable in the relationship between green market orientation and MSEs' green performance, as well as digital transformation and MSEs' green performance. These results demonstrate the importance of improving green market orientation through sustainable business practices and optimizing digital transformation with environmentally friendly technologies. Digital literacy and green innovation training are needed for MSEs to be more competitive in an increasingly sustainability-oriented market.

Abstract

The current research aims (1) to determine the determinants of trust and impulsive buying derived from hedonic value, perceived of ease, and consumer emotions, and (2) to explore the role of trust as mediation in explaining the relationship of hedonic value, convenience perception, and consumer emotions to impulsive buying. Primary data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires on samples taken by the purposive sampling method with criteria derived from generation Z (17-26 years) who made online purchase transactions at least twice. Hypothesis testing of 193 respondent data was carried out after going through instrument testing. The test results show that trust is determined by the perceived of ease, and impulsive buying is predicted by hedonic value, perceived of ease, and consumer emotions. Additional findings suggest the role of trust as a mediator between perceived of ease and impulse buying. Research results can be a contribution for practitioners and academics in stimulating trust and impulse buying.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and inclusive leadership on employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable, at Ananda General Hospital (RSU) Purwokerto. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing purposive sampling to select 155 non-managerial employee respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on both employee performance and job satisfaction. Inclusive leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but does not directly and significantly affect employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction does not significantly influence employee performance and fails to mediate the effects of the two independent variables. This implies that employee performance at RSU Ananda Purwokerto is driven more by individual emotional intelligence and professional standards than by personal satisfaction or inclusive leadership styles.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Islamic mutual funds, Islamic stocks, and sukuk on Indonesian economic growth and inflation as a moderator. This study is quantitative and explanatory, with 40 saturated sample data. The data analysis used is multiple regression analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate that Islamic stocks have a positive and significant influence on Indonesian economic growth, while sukuk and Islamic mutual funds have no significant influence on Indonesian economic growth. In addition, the inflation variable can strengthen the influence of Islamic mutual funds on Indonesian economic growth. However, inflation can also weaken the influence of mutual funds and sukuk variables on Indonesian economic growth.

Abstract

Competition in the ready-to-eat doughnut industry in Indonesia is intensifying, particularly in Sidoarjo. This study aims to examine the influence of brand trust, brand image, and product quality on purchase decisions with brand love as a mediating variable among Mister Donut Indonesia consumers. A quantitative approach was employed using purposive sampling of 96 respondents. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that brand trust has no significant effect on purchase decisions, either directly or through brand love. In contrast, brand image and product quality have positive and significant effects on purchase decisions, both directly and mediated by brand love. Brand love also positively and significantly influences purchase decisions. These findings highlight the importance of managing brand image and product quality to foster brand love that drives repeat purchase decisions.
