Abstract

This study maps the development and structure of financial capability research through a bibliometric analysis of 166 Scopus-indexed articles from 2011–2026 using Bibliometrix-Biblioshiny. The findings reveal significant publication growth since 2018, with the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning and Xiao J.J. as the most productive source and author. Financial capability has evolved into a multidimensional construct linked to financial behavior, financial well-being, financial technology, and financial resilience. Thematic evolution shows a shift from knowledge and debt toward behavioral, psychological, and digital integration. International collaboration remains dominated by the United States. This study updates the literature mapping to 2026 and proposes a research agenda emphasizing developing-country contexts.

Abstract

Electric bicycles are innovative vehicles that do not require oil refills and other repairs. The government fully supports the use of electric motor vehicles by issuing Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Motor Vehicle Program as Road Transportation, but electric motorcycle sales are still lower than conventional motorcycles. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the intention to purchase an electric motorcycle. This study applies green lifestyle and discounts as exogenous variables that influence intention to buy. This type of research is causal research. Respondents or samples in this study were residents of Sikka Regency who were selected using simple random sampling with sample determination using the Slovin formula resulting in 396 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results of this study indicate that green lifestyle and discounts can influence the intention to purchase an electric motorcycle. With the greatest influence being discounts, customers intend to buy an electric motorcycle if there is a discount, consumers will consider the number of products widely circulated in the market and the benefits provided by the company in providing discounts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Local Government Expenditure (LGE) and the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) on economic growth across regencies and cities in Central Sulawesi Province during the 2020–2024 period, examining both partial and simultaneous effects. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-associative design was employed. The study utilized secondary panel data covering 13 regencies/cities over a five-year observation period, resulting in 65 observations. The sample was determined using the saturated sampling method. Data were obtained from the Central Sulawesi Province Central Statistics Agency (CSA), the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, and other relevant institutions. Analysis was conducted using panel data regression via EViews 12 software. Prior to model selection, classical assumption tests were performed; the optimal model was then determined through the Chow Test and Hausman Test and subsequently used as the basis for hypothesis testing. The results indicate that, simultaneously, Local Government Expenditure and the Open Unemployment Rate have a significant influence on economic growth; however, regarding partial effects, Local Government Expenditure has a positive impact, whereas the Open Unemployment Rate has a negative impact on economic growth in the regencies and cities of Central Sulawesi Province. These findings demonstrate that the effective management of local government expenditure and increased labor absorption are crucial factors in driving sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The bankruptcy of a commercial bank can negatively impact the national economy, given that its closure can pose a systemic risk. Commercial banks are at greater risk of bankruptcy when the level of customer defaults, or Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), increases. Therefore, a literature review discussing the factors that contribute to lower or higher NPLs is needed. Macroeconomic fundamentals can be related to the state of the national economy which in turn can affect an individual's ability to repay their obligations. Therefore, this study aims to examine how macroeconomic factors influence NPLs in commercial banks in Indonesia. This study uses data from nine private commercial banks with the largest core capital, covering the period from 2021 to 2024. Therefore, the data is panel-based, and the VECM method is used, assisted by IRF and FEVD analysis. The results of this study find that macroeconomic factors such as exchange rates and GDP can negatively impact bank NPLs. Conversely, NPLs respond positively to shocks to inflation and reference interest rates. The inflation rate is the macroeconomic variable that has the most influence on NPLs compared to other macroeconomic variables. However, the largest factor influencing NPL fluctuations in the Indonesian banking industry is NPL itself. Therefore, internal management, such as credit divisions in commercial banks, is needed to manage credit disbursement effectively. Bank credit divisions must ensure that only a small portion of the total credit disbursed becomes non-performing loans.
