Abstract

Asphalt concrete is a flexible pavement structure mixed with asphalt concrete which is composed of fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and filler material, with asphalt also as a binder. Rice husk ash is the result of burning rice husk waste. Rubber asphalt is a natural polyterpene synthesized through the enzymatic polymerization of isopentyl pyrophosphate. SIR 20 solid natural rubber is made from coagol (used latex) with an impurity content of 0.2 or processed products such as lamps, sitangin. The aim and objective of this research is to determine the effect of fly ash (rice husk ash) on the stability and density of AC-WCNR and to determine the optimum mixture value of AC-WCNR. The research method is a quantitative method that collects data from the results of experimental research in the form of numbers and can be calculated and is in numerical form. The fineness of rice husk ash to AC-WCNR asphalt increases the stability and density of the mixture up to zone 2 with a percentage of rice husk ash of 4%. The standard Marshall stability value increased in zone 2 with a rice husk ash percentage of 4%, amounting to 1294.9 Kg. The density value increased by 2.287 gr/cc in zone 2 with a percentage of 4%. The optimum value for using rice husk ash content is in zone 2 with a percentage of 4%.Keywords: Asphalt Concrete, Rubber Asphalt, Rice Husk Ash, Stability, Density

Abstract

Construction progress, whether for buildings or roads, can be used to determine how well an area is performing. The development of an effective transportation system can facilitate the entry and exit of raw materials or finished goods to other areas, improving the economy of local communities as a whole. The method used in this research is by adding a percentage of rice husk ash of 0% (as a comparison), 4%, 6% and 8% as a substitute material for the fine fraction in the AC-BC nr asphalt mixture. To determine the effect of the fineness of rice husk ash on the durability and flexibility of AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course) nr. To find out what the optimum level of variation of rice husk ash mixture is as a substitute material for AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course) asphalt mixture nr.. The optimum residual flow value in the 2-4% zone is 3.9 mm, while the lowest residual flow value decreased in the 3-8% zone with a value of 3.07 mm. Flow values that are below the minimum limit cause cracking and low durability. The highest residual marshall value is in the 2-4% zone with a value of 96.68%, while the lowest residual marshall value is in the normal range with a value of 91.69%. Abstract

The filler material in the asphalt mixture has the function of increasing the binding capacity of asphalt concrete, so it can improve stability, the filler mixture can fill the voids between the aggregate particles (Fauziah, 2014). If the material is tested for sieve analysis, it must pass the N0 sieve. 200. In this study the author used coffee husk ash as an asphalt filler, coffee husk ash is the result of burning coffee husk waste after grinding coffee, and the characteristics of this coffee husk ash are not fully utilized, so that with this coffee husk ash can be used as a variation in the use of asphalt filler,This research was conducted at the Civil Engineering Study Program Laboratory, Buchori Building 3, Bina Darma University, Palembang, located on Jl. Jendral Ahmad Yani No. 15, 9/10 Ulu, Lintas Ulu 1 sub-district, Palembang city, South Sumatra. The materials used in this research are as follows: The fine aggregate used is stone ash that passes through sieve no. 8 and stuck no. 200, Coarse Aggregate used is split stone/crushed stone retained on filter no. 8, Rubber Asphalt Sir 20 obtained from PT. Sumatra Bitumen Modification, Jl. Across Sumatra Muara Enim – Prabumulih, the coffee skin ash is ground by pounding it so that the coffee skin ash can pass through filter no. 200 and can then be used as a filler. Found in Lubuk Dalam Village, Tanjung Sakti PUMI, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra.Reviewing the test results from variations in coffee skin ash, it can be concluded that the influence of the density value on the optimum coffee skin ash is at a percentage of 2% with a value of 2.242 gr/cc. Meanwhile, based on the Marshall parameter test results in terms of variations in coffee skin ash, it can be concluded that the influence of the stability value on the optimum coffee skin ash is at a percentage of 4% with a value of 1679 kg/cmᵌ.

Abstract

Kota Semarang adalah Ibu Kota Provinsi jawa Tengah, dimana di dalamnya terdapat berbagai macam bangunan vital penggerak pemerintahan, pendidikan dan perekonomian. Seiring bertambahnya tahun maka bertambah juga jumlah penduduk, dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun yaitu pada tahun 2018 sampai dengan 2023 terjadi penambahan penduduk sebesar 20.403 jiwa (Dispendukcapil Kota Semarang, 2023).  Penambahan penduduk tersebut berpengaruh terhadap pembangunan, salah satunya adalah pembangunan Kampus POLITEKNIK PU. Kampus tersebut menggunakan lahan yang awal mulanya adalah lahan yang tertutup semak belukar dibangun menjadi kawasan kampus.  Sehingga tata guna lahan awal yang harusnya dapat menyerap air hujan  menjadi berkurang karena tertutup oleh bangunan dan jalan yang dibangun di lahan tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bangunan air yang dapat menampung limpasan akibat perubahan tata guna lahan dari semak belukar menjadi kawasan kampus. Beberapa analisis diperlukan dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis debit banjir rencana dengan tata guna lahan eksiting, menganalisis debit banjir rencana dengan tata guna lahan setelah terbangun kampus POLITEKNIK PU dan menganalisis bangunan air penampung limpasan yang kapasitasnya adalah hasil selisih limpasan tata guna lahan baru dikurangi limpasan tata guna lahan eksisting. Berdasar hasil analisis dari 3 bangunan air yaitu kolam retensi, long storage dan u-ditch dengan 3 profil (50x60 cm, 60x70 cm dan 80x100 cm) diperoleh kapsitas maksimal sebesar 7926,70 m3. Kapaitas tersebut dapat menampung debit banjir dari curah hujan rencana yang terjadi degan durasi 2,18 jam.

Abstract

The construction of the Andalas University ASN flats has been built in the Andalas University area. This building was realized by the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of Public Works dan Public Haousing using 3-storey reinforced concrete construction with a building height of 22.63 m and hard soil conditions. The foundation is a very important structural element in a building. The foundation is defined as an underground structure that transmits the loads originating from the weight of the building itself and the loads acting on the building to the surrounding soil. The foundation used in the construction of ASN Andalas University flats is a bored pile foundation with a diameter of 1 meter. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the bearing strength of bored piled used as the foundation based on sondir data. By using the Meyerhoff method, the result of calculatating the bearing capacity of the foundation at foundation point A1, A16, D1 and D16 obtained Qult = 251,98 kN. While the Calculation of bearing capacity using the Schmertmann-Nottingham method at foundation point A1 obtained Qult = 439.01 kN, at foundation point A16 obtained Qult = 320,12 kN, at foundation point D1 obtained Qut = 530.47 kN and foundation point D16 obtained Qult = 288,11 kN. This calculation uses sondir 3 data. Based on the calculation results of ETABS v9.7.4 Pu = 389.572 kN, the calculation of the carrying capacity using the MAyerhoff method is not safe to use. Whereas using the Schmertmann-Nottingham method, only two foundation points are safe to use, namely at the foundation point A1 and D1. Abstract

Aquaponik merupakan sistem budidaya yang menggabungkan metode hidroponik dan akuakultur dalam lingkungan yang bersifat saling menguntungkan dan efisien. Akuaponik bila dipadukan dengan teknologi bioflok dapat menghasilkan sistem budidaya tanaman dan ikan yang ramah lingkungan karena tidak menghasilkan limbah buangan (zero waste). Tantangan terbesar dari akuaponik adalah kondisi derajat keasaman (pH) dan jumlah padatan terlarut (Total Dissolve Solid atau TDS) pada air yang diperlukan untuk budidaya tanaman dan ikan umumnya bertolak belakang. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengembangkan sistem kontrol pintar berbasis Arduino yang dapat digunakan untuk untuk mengendalikan kadar pH dan TDS pada akuaponik dengan bioflok. Pengujian purwarupa sistem kontrol pintar tersebut dilakukan pada akuaponik sederhana di dalam ruangan untuk membudidayakan kangkung dan ikan lele Sangkuriang selama dua minggu. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa akuaponik dengan sistem kontrol pintar menghasilkan tanaman kangkung dengan ukuran rata-rata 10 cm lebih panjang. Selain itu, ikan lele yang dihasilkan oleh akuaponik dengan sistem kontrol pintar memiliki rata-rata massa 0,5 gram lebih berat dan tingkat kematian 12% lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan akuaponik kontrol manual. Hasil budidaya tanaman dan ikan yang lebih baik dikarenakan keberadaan sistem kontrol pintar menjaga suhu, pH dan TDS pada air yang tersirkulasi pada kondisi ideal. Hal ini juga membantu meningkatkan kandungan bioflok yang dihasilkan oleh akuaponik sistem selama pengujian.

Abstract

Coffee bean fermentation is one of a series of post-harvest processes that can affect the quality of coffee. A biofermenter with a capacity of 1 kg has been made and researched and the results are able to provide good quality to the fermented coffee beans. To produce a larger biofermenter, it is necessary to carry out research on scaling up the biofermenter to a capacity of 5 kg. This research aims to produce a coffee bean biofermenter with a capacity of 5 kg equipped with an expert control system with the same or better performance than a biofermenter with a capacity of 1 kg. The research method used was design, starting from designing the fermentation space and container, electrical energy requirements, control system and software , and testing the performance of the biofermenter by fermenting 5 kg of coffee beans within 12 hours and repeated twice. Next, data analysis was carried out which included testing the pH of the fermentation solution, pulp content, water content, color of coffee beans, pH of coffee grounds and total acidity of coffee grounds. The research results show that the biofermenter can work well, characterized by no overshoot , small steady state error in the range of 2-5% . and a short time setting of 80 minutes, stable temperature around the setting point (SP) 40°C. In testing the quality of the fermentation results using a coffee bean biofermenter, it showed that the pH of the fermentation solution was 5.56, the pulp released was 14.54%, almost the same as the research before the scale up , namely the pulp released was 13.3%, the water content was 11.7%, the color of the coffee beans before scale up notation L* 31.63 and after scale up L* 31.71, pH of coffee grounds before scale up 5.7 and after scale up 4.93, total acid titrated before scale up 0.23% and after scaling up 1.73%.Keywords: Coffee Bean Biofermenter, Expert , Control System, Infrared, Electrical Power

Abstract

The increase in the budget allocation for procurement of goods or services in the Agam Regency Government cannot be separated from the problem of procurement of goods or services. In Agam Regency, the problem that often arises in the appointment of commitment making officials is limited human resources in managing construction work so that many projects are found to be late in completing their work. The aim of the research is to identify factors and determine the most dominant factors that influence commitment making officials performance in construction projects in Agam Regency, and create a measurement model for the relationship between commitment making officials performance. The research method used is a quantitative research method, namely by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of the research conducted show factors that influence commitment making officials performance in construction projects in Agam Regency, namely the Technical Capability and Workload factors, the Capability factors in planning and control, the Knowledge and Budget Factors and the Skills Factors

Abstract

Itishopedthatasphaltmixedwith rubbertirepieces canactasasubstitute forsimilar materialsandthestabilityoftheasphaltwillincrease.Usedtire rubberwasteisveryeasy tofind,butthis materialisdifficulttofindnaturally.This aims toinvestigatetheimpact of replacingconventionalcoarse aggregatewithusedtirepowderonthestability anddensity oftheAC-WC asphaltmixture.Wastetire powder,which isarecycledproductfrom usedtires,isusedasanadditive inasphaltmixtures toreduce theuseof naturalaggregatesandsupportsustainablerecyclingpracticesintheroadconstructionindustry. Theresearchmethodinvolvesthepreparation ofseveralAC-WCasphaltmixtureswithvaryingratiosof usedtirepowder.Theresultingasphaltmixtureisthentestedusingvariouslaboratory tests,including stabilityand densitytests.Inaddition,analysisofmechanicalpropertiessuchasmodulusofelasticityand tensilestrengthwasalsocarriedouttoevaluatetheperformance ofasphaltmixturescontainingusedtire powder.Basedonthe resultsofMarshallparametertestingintermsofvariationsinused tire substitution, itcanbeconcludedthattheinfluenceofthestabilityvalueonoptimumtirerubberisatapercentageof4% witha valueof1,846kg.Meanwhile,basedonthetestresultsintermsofvariationsinusedtires,itcanbe concludedthattheinfluenceofdensityvalueonoptimumtirerubberisatapercentageof4%witha value of2.377gr/cc.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of variations in coarse aggregate mixtures on concrete compressive strength and to compare the effects of using split and coral aggregates on the resulting concrete compressive strength. The experiments were conducted at the laboratory of Bina Darma University, Palembang, South Sumatra, using 54 test specimens in the form of 10 x 20 cm cylinders, divided into 27 test specimens for each split and coral aggregate mixture. The research results indicate that a 10% split aggregate mixture has a significant effect on concrete compressive strength, while a 30% coral aggregate mixture also has a substantial impact on concrete compressive strength, with an inverse relationship to the split aggregate mixture. Furthermore, this study achieved optimal concrete compressive strength test results at 28 days of age, with a 10% split aggregate mixture reaching a compressive strength of 61.34 MPa and a 30% coral aggregate mixture reaching a compressive strength of 47.88 MPa.Keywords: Concrete, Variation of Mixture, Compressive Strenght
