Abstract

Ineffective communication will affect the quality of a service, because it is related to the speed and accuracy of information that affects public trust. This issue is a focus on the customer service units of service agencies in the West Java provincial government, so it is necessary to increase the capacity of communication directed at excellent service. Community service activities through this form of effective communication training involve twenty-one employees of the customer service unit. Analyze training effectiveness by using score measurements before and after treatment, and needs response surveys are used to assess the usefulness of the training. The results of the training carried out showed a significant increase in scores between before and after the effective communication training, and the training received a positive response. Associated with the results of the training achieved is expected to have an impact on improving the quality of excellent service.

Abstract

Soy milk is one of the processed products of soybean which has multi function for body health so it is safe to consume for daily drink. In Desa Banjarsari of Talang Padang District, there is the soy milk industry, when producing soy milk leaving soybean pulp. The purpose of this activity is to increase the community's economy through the utilization of soy milk residue into nuggets. The methods undertaken are by way of approach, practice, counseling, technical guidance, and mentoring. From this activity, it is known that the participants enthusiastically from PKK mothers to acquire the skills and ability to use soy milk pulp as an processed product in the form of nutritional-rich nuggets. The stimulus to increase the community's economy was well-responded by the participants, thereby providing hope for the improvement of quality of animal food consumption and opening opportunities to PKK mothers to carry out continuing continuity and sustainability activities so that PKK mothers can be built.

Abstract

Journal is a place for publication of scientific works, the quality and content entirely lies in the written word. Plagiarism can be found because of negligence in writing the references. The purpose of this dedication is to help partners in understanding plagiarism, strategies to make articles using the application of Mendeley and scientific publications by organizing article writing training for members of the Research Club for publication. The method of implementation used was lectures and discussions. The training period lasts for 2 days, starting from the pre-test, material about journal publications, plagiarism, delays, and article writing strategies for e-journals and ending with post-test implementation. The pre-test results obtained an average value of 68,86 (adequate category), whereas for the assessment of the mastery of training material is 85,65 and the post-test is 86,62 both in the excellent category. From the average assessment, it can be proven that the article writing training for publication in e-journals for the Researcher Club is very useful and able to increase knowledge in writing articles for publication in e-journals for trainees.

Abstract

Watutela group of farmers and ranchers, who are very vulnerable to various problems of forest destruction. Lack of public understanding of the prohibition of illegal logging of forest trees in forest areas (Grand Forest Park). Seeing this situation, the increase in legal awareness, especially understanding of the legal obligations to conserve forests with the status of a grand forest park area. The method of implementing the activity begins with field observations, then makes contact with the head of the RW for administrative purposes, determining the time for activities and invitations to prospective participants in focus group discussions. The participatory discussion method was carried out in the afternoon. It can be said that the level of understanding of the community in the sense of complying with the provisions of forest conservation is still low, after the activity appears perceptions and attitudes that are in line with the provisions of conservation so that a commitment is built to maintain the sustainability of the forest while still benefiting (symbiosis mutualism).

Abstract

Women as agents of change are expected to have an active role in disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities, mainly to defend themselves and their families from the effects of disasters. This dedication activity is a preparedness level assessment of the members of PKK RT. 05 RW. 08, Banyuraden village, Gamping Sleman DIY. It is an academic involvement to support the village program in realization a disaster-resilient village (Destana) and to solute the partner's problem. The assessment method uses a framework developed by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) in collaboration with The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) in 2006. There are three stages of assessment, i.e. a survey for collecting data using a questionnaire, analyzing the preparedness index, and determining the preparedness level. Because the activities were carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, the questionnaire was conducted using Google forms to implement the physical distancing program. This dedication activity found a description that the members of PKK RT. 05. RW. 08 Banyuraden village, Gamping Sleman DIY has a moderate of preparedness rate, with an index of 62.07%. The aspect of disaster knowledge was classified as good, but the emergency response plan and resource mobilization are not yet. The implementation of the Destana program in the Banyuraden village, Sleman district, especially in RT.05 RW.08 might be aligned with the results of this dedication activity. Further dedication activities can also be carried out, such as drafting emergency response plans and organizing preparedness training for families to improve the community preparedness of RT. 05 RW. 08, Banyuraden, Gamping Sleman DIY.

Abstract

The potential of fishery resources in Indonesia is very abundant especially in South Sulawesi but has not been utilized to the fullest. This is because there is a lack of mastery of technological innovation handling coral ornamental fish, especially the production of marine ornamental fish. The objective of the Regional product development Program is to develop the business activities of a group of fishermen who are more self-reliant economically profitable and social, creating tranquility, comfort in community life and improving skills in a softskill and Hardskill, the number and quality of products increased to market, the product markets can be broadly open to export products, environmental health improvement, The method used is the socialization of PPPUD program. Training on how to capture and handle ornamental fish using Cleopatra nets and clove oil, operationalization and monitoring and evaluation program to ensure the sustainability and development of this PPPUD. The solutions offered in this activity is a more efficient decorative fish business management system and the results of ornamental fish products that are the standard export that will be applied to the East Marine SMES, as well as the implementation of the SME management system.

Abstract

In understanding abstract mathematical concepts, students need teaching aids such as concrete objects as an intermediary or visualization. The purpose of the research is to obtain skills in making mathematics teaching aids on PGSD University of Civilization students. The research method uses qualitative research with a total of 66 research subjects in the third semester of 2015/2016 Academic Year. Data collection techniques were taken using observation, interviews, documentation. The results obtained from the study provide knowledge of new knowledge, improve skills in making learning support instruments, train the creative thinking of students of the University of Civilization PGSD as a provision of learning strategies when going to be a teacher. This training prepares prospective teachers in explaining mathematical concepts, in learning mathematics, the use of teaching aids is expected to increase student motivation. Motivation can arise because many ideas and new ideas and fun learning contains a variety of information that is relevant to the learning needs of students.

Abstract

One of the alternatives to mitigate the limitations of agricultural land in urban areas in an effort to produce family food is the use of yard with verticulture method. However, the partners of this community service activity were housewives in Permata Griya RT Residence 03/RW 019; most of them have not utilized their home yard for any productive and economically valuable activities through plant cultivation. This is caused by the limited land and partners’ knowledge about plant cultivation techniques. This community service activity aims to provide training and practice of narrow land utilization with verticulture method, arranging plants vertically using used tins and plastic bottles.. The service activity was conducted through lecture, discussion, and demonstration approach. The result of the activity impacted on the participants’ knowledge and insight: all participants knew cultivation techniques and make the growing media of verticulture mainly by using used goods

Abstract

The Women Farmer Group Sejahtera mostly housewives or decorative plant farmer in Sikapat villages, Sumbang district, Banyumas regency. Its located in northern city of Purwokerto, within 15,2 km from UNU Purwokerto. Its location in highland (800 masl) has good potential for horticultural and ornamentalplant cultivation. One obstacle of farmer group is presence of pest and pathogen. Control usually done by farmer with spraying sinthetic pesticides. This PKM provides another alternative, used botanical pesticides that more environmentally friendly, through training make botanical pesticides. The methode used was counseling, training and application. The result of PKM was an increase knowledge and skills about the benefits and ways of making botanical pesticides from plants around the house. Botanical pesticides can reduce production costs and potentially as a home industry.

The purpose of education reformulated its goal that to prepare students to be a problem solver. Teaching with problem base learning needs many kinds of learning resources. All these kinds of information will be used of the students to analyses the problems from many points of views. Blog is one of application can be provided informations/datas. Fortunately, almost all schools ini city have already have computers and internets facilitation, but still do not use yet for learning. The purpose of this activity is to train teachers to desing and create their own Blog to facilitate student’s learning. The result showed that all teachers can create a Blog for their Subject.
