Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of the PjBL model in understanding the mathematical concepts of elementary school students. The study involved two classes, one class as an experimental class given the PjBL model treatment and one class as an untreated control class with the PjBL learning model. The design of this study uses Posttest-Only Control Designe. Data collection using test techniques. Test techniques are conducted to obtain data about understanding the mathematical concept of students. Data analysis is done using Paired Sample . Based on data analysis and discussion it is known that  to 1.71387. In accordance with the interpretation of , the hypothesis was received if the  > , with the result 4.13 > 1.71387 then  rejected. It can be concluded that understanding the concept of learners that are taught with the PjBL model is higher compared to the average understanding of students' concepts that do not use the PjBL model, so it can be concluded that there are Positive influence on the use of PjBL model to understand the concept of students of elementary school in Pesis district.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate an alternative solution as an insecticide from Indonesian natural ingredients. We investigated the potential use of Artocarpus altilis park (known as kluwih plants in Indonesia) for an anti-mosquito repellent because it contains flavonoids and saponins. The use of this type of insecticide is harmless, inexpensive, and largely available in Indonesia. In the experiment, we extracted bark and leaves of kluwih to obtain insecticidal material to repel Anopheles sp. To ensure the precise extraction and insecticidial effect, the experiments were conducted four times with three repetitions. For each experiment, we used 8.4 mL with the concentrations of 20, 30, and 40% of flavonoid. The results showed that the higher the concentrations of bark and leaf extracts of Artocarpus altilis park the higher the mortality rate of Anopheles sp is.

Abstract

Islamic values have been recognized as the positive values need to be integrated in enhancing learning competencies including problem-solving skills. This study aimed to determine the influence of learning inquiry model based on Islamic values toward problem-solving skills of tenth-grade students in Bandar Lampung. This quasi-experimental research used posttest only control group design. The treatment for the experimental group used guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values, whereas the direct instruction learning model was applied in control group. The students’ problem-solving skills data were collected using a test. The data was analyzed using independent samples t-test. The results showed that there was a significant influence of guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values toward students’ problem-solving skills, t(58) = 2.807, p < .05. The integration of Islamic values in the biology learning process can promote students’ problem-solving skills. Therefore guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values can be an alternative model in empowering students’ problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak PjBL dengan pendekatan STEM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis quasi experiment dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design, melibatkan dua subjek penelitian yaitu experiment class and control class. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan test essay berpikir kritis dan angket skala likert. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ANOVA test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretes dan postes kelas eksperiment sebesar 64,96 menjadi 84,24. Model PjBL dengan pendekatan STEM mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik yang ditandai adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata pretes dan postest pada tiap indikator dari 60,86 menjadi 81,22. Peningkatan skor pretes dan postes dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,55 atau 31% mengindikasikan terjadinya peningkatan dalam skala sedang. Disisi lain, rata-rata angket Self Efficacy kelas eksperimen mencapai sebesar 93% dangan kategori sangat tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PjBL – STEM terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik kelas X pada materi ekosistem. An analysis of students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy: The influence of PjBL-STEM on ecosystem learning materials Abstract: This research aimed to determine the influence of the PjBL model with the STEM approach on students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. This research also involved two research subjects, namely the experimental class and the control class. The population of this research was the tenth-grade students of SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. The samples were determined using the cluster random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researchers employed a critical thinking test and a Likert scale questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. The results showed that the experimental class’s average score on the pretest experienced an improvement, from 64.96 to 84.24. The PjBL model with the STEM approach improved students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. The improvement was marked by the average pre-test and post-test scores improvement for each indicator, from 60.86 to 81.22. The improvement of pretest and posttest scores determined by the N-Gain test was 0.55 or 31%. Furthermore, the average self-efficacy score obtained by the experimental class was 93% within the excellent category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PjBL model with the STEM approach influenced the tenth-grade students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy on ecosystem learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching material in the form of an electronic magazine in mathematics learning. This study uses research and development methods. The development procedure used is the ADDIE (Annalyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model procedure. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and tests. The sample used was class VII SMP (Junior High School). The data analysis technique used is the t test. Based on the results of the validation carried out the media developed obtained very appropriate criteria by experts (media experts and material experts). Judging from the attractiveness of the results obtained from 2 large-scale trials and small-scale electronic magazines that were obtained obstained very interesting criteria. Based on the results of the t-test it was found that the learning outcomes of students using electronic electronic magazines were better than the learning outcomes of students who did not use mathematical electronic magazines. Based on this, it can be concluded that electrochemical magazines in mathematics learning developed can be used as mathematical learning aids.

Abstract

Guru merupakan figur sentral dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Dalam proses pembelajaran guru tidak hanya melakukan transfer ilmu tetapi harus memiliki kuaifikasi akademik yang sesuai bidang, kompetensi teknologi, pedagogik, personal, dan persyaratan profesionalitas yang mumpuni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) mahasiswa calon guru Pendidikan Biologi UIN Raden Intan Lampung dalam menyusun perangkat evaluasi pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode analisis korelasi. Penentuan partisipan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan biologi angkatan 2016 semester 8 yang sudah menyelesaikan materi pedagogik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, lembar obseravasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment. Hasil analisis korelasi memperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,585 yang mneunjukan hubungan antara dua vriabel tersebut cukup kuat dan arah hubungan menunjukan arah positif, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kemampuan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) dengan kemampuan membuat perangkat Evaluasi Pembelajaran pada mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: calon guru, kemampuan technological pedagogical content knowledge, perangkat evaluasi pembelajaran   The teacher is a central figure in the administration of education. In the learning process the teacher does not only transfer knowledge but must have academic qualifications in accordance with the fields, technological competence, pedagogic, personal, and qualified professional requirements. This study aims to determine the ability of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) for prospective teachers of Biology Education at UIN Raden Intan Lampung in developing learning evaluation tools. This type of research is quantitative with correlation analysis method. Determination of participants in this study was conducted with a purposive sampling technique, namely biology education students for semester 8 2016 who had completed pedagogic material. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews and documentation. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the Product Moment correlation test. Correlation analysis results obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.585 which shows the relationship between the two variables is quite strong and the direction of the relationship shows a positive direction, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a positive relationship between the ability of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) with the ability to make evaluation tools Student learning. Abstract

Pada pelaksanaan praktikum, mahasiswa sering melakukan observasi terhadap objek atau fenomena lalu merepresentasikannya kembali dalam bentuk gambar.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara representasi gambar dan kemampuan observasi mahasiswa pada pelaksanaan praktikum anatomi tumbuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 33 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi salah satu universitas di Bandung.Instrumen penelitian berupa rubrik analisis gambar dan lembar observasi. Pada instrumen rubrik analisis gambar terdiri dari 3 aspek penilaian gambar, sedangkan pada lembar observasi terdiri dari 4 indikator penilaian kemampuan observasi mahasiswa. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan regresinya linear.Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dilakukan uji korelasi Pearson dengan hasil signifikasi 0.000 0.05 yang menandakan terdapatnya hubungan antara dua variabel tersebut. Selanjutnya diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0.639 yang menunjukkan hubungan antara representasi gambar hasil praktikum dan kemampuan observasi mahasiswa dikategorikan cukup.

Abstract

Soy milk is one of the processed products of soybean which has multi function for body health so it is safe to consume for daily drink. In Desa Banjarsari of Talang Padang District, there is the soy milk industry, when producing soy milk leaving soybean pulp. The purpose of this activity is to increase the community's economy through the utilization of soy milk residue into nuggets. The methods undertaken are by way of approach, practice, counseling, technical guidance, and mentoring. From this activity, it is known that the participants enthusiastically from PKK mothers to acquire the skills and ability to use soy milk pulp as an processed product in the form of nutritional-rich nuggets. The stimulus to increase the community's economy was well-responded by the participants, thereby providing hope for the improvement of quality of animal food consumption and opening opportunities to PKK mothers to carry out continuing continuity and sustainability activities so that PKK mothers can be built.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendesain dan mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan Swishmax-4 materi garis lurus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development, dengan menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan adalah Wawancara, Angket dan Tes. Data penelitian berupa hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan rumus effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat valid, ahli materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,73 dan ahli media skor rata-rata 3,27. Respon mahasiswa memperoleh hasil skor rata-rata 3,49 pada uji skala kecil dan 3,42 pada uji skala besar dengan criteria keduanya sangat menarik. Keefektifan media pembelajaran diuji mengunakan effect size yaitu dengan perolehan skor efektifitas  0,78 dengan kategori efektivitas sedang.

Abstract

Early in 2020, we are welcomed by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak. The lack of public awareness to always comply with health protocols is one of the triggers of the increasing number of Covid-19 spread in Indonesia. The lack of parental awareness of the importance of disciplining their children to always comply with health protocol regulations, such as not wearing a mask, not keeping distance, and awareness to wash their hands is one of the causes of the spread of covid-19. Therefore, efforts are needed to raise awareness of parents and children to comply with health protocols in the midst of the covid-19 outbreak through educational videos. This service is carried out by conducting socialization accompanied by the creation of children's educational videos about covid-19 and how health protocols should be carried out. This service was done to the villagers of Bagelen as many as 40 parents and their children. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire of awareness of the master / child to the dangers of covid-19.
