Abstract

This research aims to describe methods of teaching creative writing skills, and efforts are made to reveal the most prominent teaching methods. The research method used is qualitatively from creative writing classes, using teachers and students as data sources. The results of this research are studies focused on specific methods for creative writing. In contrast, in the classroom, without paying attention to studies related to observing the creators reveal new additions to their first creative attempts, these studies are similar to the efforts of psychologists when they studied the work mechanisms of creative people and artists. Naturally, such efforts must be carried out by all parties of the educational institution, starting with the curricula and passing through the teacher, then the student and his family members, by following up on the changes and additions that his creativity is going through in accordance. The known stages of creativity (preparation- the stage of incubation and latency - the stage of illumination - verification - the stage of determination and perseverance) Despite the challenges surrounding this follow-up, its impact is praiseworthy and significant on the individual and society. Also, monitoring the student’s written creativity at various stages does not negate the strategies used in teaching creative writing in the classroom, as it is the first stage of discovering the creative student.

Abstract

The dialogue represents an essential part of the aesthetics of the literary text, with the aesthetic interaction and multiplicity of voices within the text that it achieves. It helps to reveal the features of the creator's personality and its psychological tendencies. Through his conversation, the creator may look to show the characters who surrounded him, which may have affected his creative process. It psychologically impacted the creator and created an essential influence on the recipient. The method research is the theory of reading and reception and the mechanisms of the German theorist (Wolfgang Iser) in revealing the aesthetic effect of the creative artistic and poetic techniques that the text carries. The most important result of the research is that there is much dialogue in Ibn Muqbil's poetry, employing him to express psychological impulses such as grief, illness, and love toward the beloved woman or to complain about her. Dialogue contributed to the aesthetic of influence through artistic techniques that exposed creative poetics and the susceptibility of ancient texts to permanence, life, and harmony with theories of modernity (such as reading and receiving theory).

Abstract

This study investigates students' perception of the effectiveness of an edutainment instructional module, specifically the Arabic Educational Charade Game, among students in a tertiary institute. Al-Jazzar's instructional development model was utilized to compose lessons focusing on daily Arabic sentence usage. Learning Arabic vocabulary and speaking skills can be challenging for many learners, especially non-Arabic speakers. The study's objectives are to outline the procedures for designing and producing an edutainment instructional module using this model and to explore students' perception of the instruction delivery in the Arabic Charade Game for acquiring vocabulary and improving speaking skills. The study follows a developmental method with the model as the main framework. In conclusion, the study recommends using a viable instructional development model for materials development and leveraging edutainment environments to enrich students' vocabulary and improve their Arabic speaking skills.

Abstract

This research aims at collecting the writings of the Eight Readings without guidance and explanation books, explaining what is present and what is missing, and what is related to that in terms of the emergence of the writing of the Eight Readings and the names of the narrators in those writings. The research followed the descriptive historical approach, arranged the books according to their authors' deaths, and was limited to novel books without guidance and explanation books. The results revealed that the writing of the eight readings coincided with the emergence of the seventh of the seven or shortly after the seven peers of Ibn Mujahid Musba'. The eight readings are the seven with Jacob reading, and the oldest book that has reached us is Al-Badi’s book by Ibn Khalawayh. The research counted eighteen books written in the eight readings; ten are missing. Notably, there is a lack of writing in the eight compared to the seven and the ten, and there are no systems in the eight, in contrast to the number of systems in the seven, ten, three, and others. The researcher recommended searching for missing books of readings in manuscript vaults and investigating.

Abstract

The present study aims to provide a systematic vision for teaching Arabic to non-speakers to develop the learner's educational performance and to bring the learner to the highest possible linguistic level sufficiently and efficiently. This teaching approach is represented by unifying the teaching text in light of language skills integration.  The importance of this approach comes from its influential role in simplifying the process of teaching Arabic to non-speakers. The study adopted the analytical survey process, in which a questionnaire was distributed to students in the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. The study sample consisted of 203 students studying Arabic for non-native speakers at the Language Centre at the University of Jordan. The study's results confirmed the effectiveness of unified teaching text in the light of language skills correlation.  The findings also revealed the positive role of this process in enhancing the linguistic sufficiency of Arabic non-native learners. Text unity and the correlation of language skills effectively teach languages, enabling learners to promote their linguistic level sufficiently and efficiently. Therefore, the present study recommends adopting this approach in the language teaching process and raising the awareness of language teachers of the importance of it.

Abstract

The poetry of Al-Abbas bin Mardas Al-Sulami, a unique voice from the pre-Islamic and early Islamic eras, presents a distinct poetic vision. This research delves into his poetic text, employing a method that involves presenting his poetry, elucidating the features of his poetic vision, and exploring the external factors that shaped his thoughts. The findings of this study reveal that Al-Abbas Ibn Mardas challenged some of the prevailing Arab values, offering a unique perspective before the advent of Islam. Abbas bin Mardas, a poet of his time, was not just a passive observer but an active participant in shaping the artistic landscape. He rejected social injustices, which he believed were breeding grounds for hatred, and sought to revolutionize the ancient Arabic poem with his direct influence from Islam. His focus in the Islamic era was on supporting the Prophet. This research also highlights his influence on other poets of the era, such as Hassan bin Thabit, Kaab bin Malik Al-Ansari, and Kaab bin Zuhair, underscoring his significant role in the development of Arab thought after the arrival of Islam.

This study applied pedagogical implications for fostering vocabulary skills through listening skills. It underscored the practical importance of student-centered approaches for honing modern Arabic vocabulary skills. Overall, the study's findings point to the potential benefits of using BBC Arabic Live in the classroom to help students learning Arabic as a foreign language acquire vocabulary. The study's findings emphasize the necessity of learner-centric and student-centered approaches to language learning, which has significant ramifications for approaches to language teaching in higher education. Future studies in this field might look at the impact of vocabulary development on other language abilities like reading and writing, or they might examine the usage of different media sources for vocabulary acquisition.
