Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mastery of multiplication concepts among elementary school students, which is caused by conventional learning that focuses on memorization. Such learning does not actively involve students and does not optimally utilize concrete learning media, resulting in less meaningful understanding of multiplication concepts. Therefore, the use of learning media that can help students understand multiplication concepts more effectively is needed. This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ mastery of multiplication concepts in Grade III of SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh through the use of Multiplication Board media. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 30 students of Grade IIIA at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. The research instruments included pretest and posttest questions to measure students’ mastery of multiplication concepts, as well as observation sheets to assess teacher and student activities during the learning process. The data were analyzed using a normality test and hypothesis testing with a t-test. The observation results showed that teacher activity reached a percentage of 95.33% and student activity reached 94.84%, both of which were categorized as very good. The t-test results indicated that the t-value was 35.66, while the t-table value was 1.699, meaning that the t-value was higher than the t-table value. This indicates an improvement in students’ mastery of multiplication concepts after using the Multiplication Board media. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of Multiplication Board media can improve the mastery of multiplication concepts among Grade III students at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. This study suggests that teachers use concrete learning media and encourage students to be more active in the learning process to enhance their understanding of multiplication concepts

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan meningkatnya tuntutan dan tekanan akademis di pendidikan tinggi, yang lebih kompleks dibandingkan dengan tingkat pendidikan sebelumnya. Tuntutan ini dapat memengaruhi ketekunan dan konsistensi mahasiswa dalam mencapai tujuan jangka panjang. Dalam konteks ini, kegigihan (grit), yang didefinisikan sebagai ketekunan dan konsistensi minat dalam mencapai tujuan jangka panjang, dianggap sebagai karakteristik pribadi yang penting. Dukungan sosial juga diasumsikan memainkan peran penting dalam menjaga motivasi dan ketekunan mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap kegigihan di kalangan mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling di Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto. Sampel terdiri dari 211 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen non-tes berupa kuesioner. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kegigihan. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,135 menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berkontribusi sebesar 13,5% terhadap kegigihan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat dukungan sosial yang lebih tinggi berhubungan dengan tingkat ketekunan yang lebih tinggi di kalangan siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using animated video media on improving the critical thinking skills of first grade students in Mathematics learning using a scientific approach at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. The background of this study was based on the low level of students’ critical thinking skills, which was caused by the less optimal use of attractive learning media that are suitable for the characteristics of elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The research subjects were 32 students of class I B at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. Data were collected through tests (pretest and posttest) and observations. The test instrument was used to measure students’ critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of learning using animated video media through a scientific approach. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample t-test hypothesis test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the average posttest score of students’ critical thinking skills was higher than the average pretest score. The results of the Paired Sample t-test indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05; therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of animated video media has a significant effect on improving first grade students’ critical thinking skills in Mathematics learning using a scientific approach at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh

Abstract

This study aims to develop the SIGAP learning media and test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness on students' conceptual understanding of science concepts in seventh-grade students at the UPT SMP Negeri 1 Panca Rijang. This study employed a mixed methods approach with an exploratory sequential design and a Research and Development (R&D) methodology that applied the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. Qualitative data were obtained through observation and interviews, while quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires, tests, and validation sheets. The study subjects consisted of two validators (a material expert and a media expert), one science teacher, and 109 students as a sample of 164 students. The effectiveness test used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the SIGAP learning media was categorized as "very valid," with a percentage of 90–100% based on validator assessments. Its practicality was also categorized as "very practical," with a percentage of 90–100% based on teacher and student responses. The results of the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed, so the analysis continued using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The Wilcoxon test results showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a Z-value of -9.061, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The N-Gain analysis showed an average of 0.8649 (86.4861%), categorized as high. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the SIGAP learning media developed is highly valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding of science in grade VII at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Panca Rijang.

Abstract

This study centers on the creation and validation of a deep learning-integrated instructional resource titled "Zero Start," specifically designed for 5th-grade students tackling whole numbers up to 100,000. The research is driven by the prevalence of low mathematical conceptual mastery and a lack of innovative pedagogical tools in schools, which often diminishes student confidence when facing abstract topics. Adopting the Research and Development (R&D) framework via the ADDIE model, this project focused on the Development phase to ascertain product feasibility through expert appraisal. Evaluation results yielded a 90% score from media specialists and 92.5% from subject matter experts. With a cumulative average of 91.25%, categorized as "Excellent," "Zero Start" is verified as a highly viable learning medium to bolster students' numerical competence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a character-based picture storybook on the topic of Pancasila values as a learning medium for fourth-grade Pancasila Education in elementary school.The background of this research is the limited use of contextual and innovative learning media, which causes the delivery of Pancasila values to be predominantly verbal and abstract. As a result, students tend to be less active and experience difficulties in understanding and internalizing Pancasila values in their daily lives. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) based on a simplified Borg & Gall model. The research stages included data collection, planning, initial product development, expert validation, revision, small-scale trials, large-scale trials, and the production of the final product. Data collection instruments consisted of questionnaires and observation sheets used during the validation and trial processes. The validation results showed that the media obtained a score of 92 from the material expert, 96 from the media expert, and 86 from the language expert. The trial involving 14 students resulted in a total score of 1,220, with a success percentage of 87.14%, which was categorized as very effective in supporting the learning process. Therefore, the developed media is considered valid and effective for use as an instructional tool. It is feasible to be implemented as an alternative learning medium for fourth-grade Pancasila Education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penyuluh agama dalam membina perilaku beragama siswa Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Doloksanggul, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran penyuluh agama sangat penting dalam proses pembinaan keagamaan bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Strategi yang diterapkan dilakukan dengan pendekatan humanis dan persuasif, disesuaikan dengan karakteristik serta keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Penyuluh agama tidak hanya menyampaikan materi keagamaan, tetapi juga membimbing, memberi teladan, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang nyaman dan mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Proses pembinaan perilaku beragama dilakukan melalui berbagai metode, seperti pembiasaan ibadah, keteladanan sikap, pendekatan individual, serta penggunaan media visual dan praktik langsung. Metode tersebut dinilai efektif karena mampu membantu siswa memahami nilai-nilai agama secara sederhana dan aplikatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil pembinaan menunjukkan adanya perkembangan positif pada perilaku beragama siswa, baik dalam aspek pengetahuan agama, pelaksanaan ibadah sesuai kemampuan, maupun sikap dan perilaku sosial yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Meskipun demikian, pelaksanaan pembinaan perilaku beragama masih menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman siswa, perbedaan tingkat kebutuhan khusus, serta keterbatasan sarana dan waktu pembinaan. Namun, faktor pendukung berupa kerja sama yang baik antara penyuluh agama, guru, dan orang tua, serta lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif, mampu membantu mengatasi sebagian hambatan tersebut sehingga pembinaan tetap dapat berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

Education is essentially a planned and continuous process aimed at developing students’ potential to become independent, responsible, and competent individuals. However, the learning process in vocational schools, particularly in accounting subjects, still shows that many students rely heavily on teachers and have not yet developed optimal independent learning skills. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-awareness and learning creativity on learning independence in accounting subjects among students of the Accounting Department at SMK PAB 2 Helvetia. The research employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto correlational method. The population consisted of students from the Accounting Department, with a sample of 41 students selected as research respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire based on indicators of self-awareness, learning creativity, and learning independence. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The results of the study indicate that self-awareness has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning independence with a regression coefficient of 0.659 and a significance value below 0.05. Furthermore, learning creativity also shows a positive and significant influence on learning independence with a regression coefficient of 0.686 and a significance value below 0.05. Simultaneously, self-awareness and learning creativity contribute positively to strengthening students’ learning independence. These findings suggest that improving students’ awareness of their own learning potential and encouraging creative learning strategies can enhance independent learning behavior in accounting education.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to determine the systematic steps for implementing a discovery learning model based on the snakes and ladders game to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTsN 2 Kota Blitar on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. The study was conducted over two cycles, with two meetings in each cycle. The systematic steps of the discovery learning model include stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the discovery learning model successfully improved students’ motivation and learning outcomes on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. In Cycle I, learning motivation increased from 57.5% (fair category) to 77.5% (good category) in Cycle II. Furthermore, the percentage of students who achieved mastery learning improved from 48% in Cycle I to 76% in Cycle II.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools face challenges in adopting technology for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, even though technology can enhance the quality of education and students' skills. This study aims to analyze the implementation of technology based learning in Islamic boarding schools to improve students' hard skills and soft skills. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis in three boarding schools in Batam. The results show that technology effectively enhances students' hard skills in studying the Qur’an, fiqh, and Islamic history, as well as strengthens soft skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork through digital based projects. Key supporting factors include leadership support, students' enthusiasm, and the availability of digital resources. Meanwhile, hindering factors include infrastructure limitations, varying teacher competencies, and resistance to change. The conclusion of this study suggests improvements in infrastructure, teacher training, and policies that support the integration of technology in PAI learning.
