Abstract

This study was conducted to address the low learning outcomes in Civic Education (PKn) among fourth-grade students at SDN 38 Labokong, Kabupaten Soppeng, which were caused by teacher-centered learning practices and limited student engagement. The purpose of this research was to improve students’ PKn learning outcomes through the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Make A Match combined with a contextual learning approach. The research employed Classroom Action Research using a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 14 fourth-grade students, consisting of 6 boys and 8 girls. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, and were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques supported by quantitative descriptive data from learning outcome tests. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in both the learning process and student achievement. During Cycle I, students’ participation and understanding began to improve, although some students were still passive and had not yet reached the minimum mastery criteria. In Cycle II, after improving instructional strategies and providing more intensive guidance, student engagement increased noticeably, and learning activities became more active, collaborative, and enjoyable. The learning outcomes also improved, with more than 76% of students achieving scores equal to or above the minimum mastery standard of 75. These findings indicate that the application of the Make A Match cooperative learning model integrated with a contextual approach is effective in enhancing PKn learning outcomes. Therefore, this model is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to create meaningful, active, and student-centered learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The growth of national electricity consumption, particularly in urban areas such as Jakarta, demands an efficient and reliable distribution system. The main challenges is the high level of technical losses, which reduces operational efficiency. This study develops a network reconfiguration model for a 20 kV spindle distribution system based on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) to improve distribution efficiency. Reconfiguration is performed by automatically adjusting switch positions through SCADA to optimize real-time power flow. The study focuses on the GH272 spindle network in Central and West Jakarta, consisting of 15 feeders with varying load characteristics. System modeling was conducted using DIgSILENT PowerFactory, utilizing load data obtained from SCADA sensors and optimization through the Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm. Simulation results over a 24-hour period indicate a reduction in power losses from 1.15 MWh to 0.97 MWh, (decrease 15.65%), with daily energy savings of 179 kWh (equivalent to IDR 258,601 per day). These results demonstrate that SCADA enhances distribution efficiency and supports an adaptive distribution system. The study recommends strengthening infrastructure by deploying additional sensors such as ADCU and integrating the Meter Data Management System (MDMS) with the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) to enable more responsive decision-making.

Abstract

High-Voltage (HV) Testing on the 150‑kV High-Voltage Underground Cable (SKTT) system is essential to verify insulation integrity following faults or relocations associated with National Strategic Projects. Conventional testing methods using a Mobile Test Unit (MTU) often face cost and logistical constraints. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a reverse energization method utilizing a 150/20‑kV Power Transformer as an alternative test source, using the 150‑kV SKTT Taman Rasuna–Durentiga Circuit #2 as the case study. ETAP simulations indicate that this method can deliver a 34.7‑A test current on the 150‑kV side through an injection of 260.4 A from the 20‑kV side at a test voltage of 152.8 kV. Operational safety is ensured through cascading protection coordination between the Line Current Differential relay (<100 ms) and the 20‑kV incoming OCR (100 ms). From an economic standpoint, the reverse‑transformer method requires only IDR 26.43 million, significantly lower than the MTU cost of IDR 358.51 million, resulting in 92.63% cost savings. The findings demonstrate that the reverse power‑transformer method is a reliable, safe, and highly cost‑efficient testing solution for PLN UPT Cawang operations.

Abstract

This study was initiated by the low level of fine motor skills among Group B children at TK IT Cipta Harapan Palembang, particularly in aspects of hand-eye coordination, manipulation accuracy, and finger movement control. The lack of engaging, contextual, and continuous learning activities was identified as one of the contributing factors. Cooking class activities based on a deep learning approach, which involve stirring, squeezing, pouring, molding, and decorating food, are believed to improve children’s fine motor skills through direct and meaningful learning experiences. The method used in this study was quantitative with a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest design. The research population consisted of 14 Group B children, all of whom were selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis included validity, reliability, and normality tests, as well as a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant effect of deep learning-based cooking class activities on children’s fine motor skills. This was evidenced by a t-count value of -27.571. With a degree of freedom (df) of 13 and a significance level of 5% (0.05), the t-table value was ±2.131. Since |t-count| > t-table (27.571 > 2.131), the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. This indicates a significant effect of deep learning-based cooking class activities on improving fine motor skills of Group B children at TK IT Cipta Harapan Palembang.

Abstract

Indonesia’s pledge to reach Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060 has heightened the urgency to decarbonize diesel‑reliant microgrids in remote islands, where logistics inflate fuel costs and reliability risks. Sebira Island—Jakarta’s northernmost inhabited island—already operates a PV–battery–diesel hybrid system. Building on 2024 field measurements of load and solar resources, this study models the existing assets in PVsyst to obtain high‑fidelity PV energy profiles, then performs techno‑economic optimization with HOMER Pro. We evaluate three scenarios: (i) the current system, (ii) cost‑optimal expansion, and (iii) 100% renewable fraction. The optimal configuration adds 158.4 kWp ground‑mounted PV, 211.2 kWp floating PV, and 1,324 kWh Li‑ion storage, lowering the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) to Rp 4,879.36/kWh (−20% versus the existing system), cutting annual diesel use by ≈141 kL, and reducing CO₂ emissions by ≈372 t/year while fully meeting demand (833,872 kWh/year). Achieving 100% renewable fraction is technically feasible but requires ~1,425.6 kWp new PV and 5,875 kWh Li‑ion storage, raising LCOE to Rp 10,938.06/kWh. The results of this study emphasize the importance of modeling for hybrid power plant development to achieve the lowest LCOE and provide practical guidance for clean energy development on small islands. Policy implications highlight the role of floating PV when land is limited for developing existing hybrid systems.
