Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning facilities on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Telukjambe Barat. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students totaling 235 students, with a sample of 148 students determined using the Slovin formula and the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 26, including validity testing, reliability testing, descriptive statistical analysis, normality testing, linearity testing, and regression analysis through curve estimation. The results showed that learning facilities were in the moderate category with a percentage of 72%. The learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education were also in the moderate category with a percentage of 61%. The regression analysis indicated that learning facilities did not have a significant effect on PAI learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.099 (>0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.021. This indicates that learning facilities contribute only 2.1% to learning outcomes, while 97.9% are influenced by other factors such as learning motivation, the role of teachers, family environment, learning interest, learning media, and student discipline. Therefore, learning facilities are not the main factor influencing PAI learning outcomes among eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Telukjambe Barat.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the key components that influences students' success in the learning process. Students with high learning motivation tend to be more active, diligent, and enthusiastic in achieving their academic goals. This article aims to explore the concept of student learning motivation, the factors that influence it, and the efforts that can be made to enhance it. This study uses a literature review method by examining various relevant sources, such as books and scholarly journals. The research results show that learning motivation is influenced by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors, including learning interest, learning environment, and the role of teachers in the learning process. Therefore, to achieve optimal learning outcomes, various efforts are needed to enhance students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe user satisfaction at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Library at Political Science at Semarang State University based on the service experience felt by students as library users. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling from students who actively use library services. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that user satisfaction varies and is influenced by the alignment between expectations and actual service conditions. Factors that drive satisfaction include ease of access to the location, availability of study spaces, internet network support, and the relevance of the collection to the field of study. Meanwhile, limitations in physical facilities, incomplete collections in certain fields, and less-than-conducive service room conditions were sources of user dissatisfaction. These findings confirm that user satisfaction is formed as a comprehensive evaluation of the service experience felt by library users and serves as an important basis for improving the quality of academic library services.

Abstract

The decline of moral values among children has become a concerning issue in the modern era, particularly with the rapid development of digital technology. This condition requires efforts to strengthen character education from an early age through educational processes that instill religious and moral values. The Qur’anic Learning Center, commonly known as Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA), as a non-formal Islamic educational institution, plays a strategic role in shaping children's character through Qur’anic learning, the cultivation of moral values, and the habituation of religious practices in daily life. This study aims to analyze the role of TPA in shaping children's character as an effort to overcome moral decline. The research employs a qualitative approach using literature review and observation of learning activities in TPA. The findings indicate that TPA contributes significantly to the development of children’s moral and religious values, fostering discipline, responsibility, and behavior aligned with Islamic teachings. Furthermore, the effectiveness of character building through TPA is influenced by the support of parents, community, and a conducive environment. Therefore, TPA plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and serves as an alternative solution to address moral decline in society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in reading fictional texts among students, which results in a lack of interest and participation in Indonesian language learning. This condition is caused by the use of learning media that are less interesting and less varied, so students tend to feel bored in reading activities. Therefore, innovation is needed in the learning process, one of which is through the use of digital comic media which is expected to increase students' interest in reading. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of digital comic media on the interest in reading fictional texts of sixth-grade students at Bontomaero I Elementary School, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were all 17 sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through administering tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) treatment. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and paired sample t-test with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that the average pretest score was 55.59 and the average posttest score was 82.35, resulting in an increase of 26.76. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of digital comic media has a significant effect in increasing interest in reading fictional texts of grade VI students of SD Negeri Bontomaero I, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Early childhood language development is a fundamental aspect of a child's growth and development forms the basis for cognitive, social, and academic abilities in later life. This study aims to analyze research trends on early childhood language development in the period 2020–2025 using the Systematic Literature Review method. A total of 50 national and international journal articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The results of the study show that the dominant research themes include the role of the family environment, play-based learning in Early Childhood Education institutions, the use of digital media, and early detection and intervention of language development disorders. These findings confirm that the quality of verbal interaction between children and adults, contextual and enjoyable learning approaches, and the controlled and supervised use of digital media play a significant role in children's language development. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of collaboration between parents and educators in providing optimal language stimulation and the need for early intervention strategies for children with language delays. Theoretically and practically, this study contributes to the development of early childhood education studies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Learning model can complate the learning outcomes of pancasila education for foutrh-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau. This research method used an experimental research method with a pre-test and post-test experimental design. Sampling was taken using the side random technique,. The sample in the study was 30 students of class IV.B. The instrument used by the researcher was a multiple-choice questionnaire with 10 questions. Data collection was carried out using a test technique. Data were analyzed using the t- test formula. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the calculated t_value is then consulted with the t_(table) in the t distribution list with a significance level of α = 0.05 so that the calculated t_value> t_table (5,36> 1.69) is obtained. With this, H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. So it can be concluded that the Make A Match learning model can complete the science learning outcomes of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) students of SD Negeri 03 Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the forms and functions of illocutionary speech acts used in the Mamanu-manu ceremony of Bugis marriage in Kampung Laut, Tanjung Jabung Timur. Mamanu-manu is the initial stage carried out by the male family to convey their intention to propose to the female family through a formal dialogue between representatives of both parties. This study employed a pragmatic approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The data were obtained from utterances spoken by the speakers (pa’bicara) and the interlocutors (pa’bicaranna) during the Mamanu-manu ceremony. Data were collected through observation, non-participatory observation (simak bebas libat cakap), recording, and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis procedures including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that there are 24 utterances containing four categories of illocutionary speech acts based on Searle’s (1979) theory, namely assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive speech acts. These speech acts reflect the communicative strategies used by the Bugis community in conveying intentions, requests, commitments, and expressions within the context of traditional marriage negotiations.

Abstract

This study examines the management of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Dunia Harapan School. The purposes of the study are to discover 1) the application of ICT based on 3 ICT components at Dunia Harapan School; 2) the ICT management at Dunia Harapan School; and 3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of ICT at Dunia Harapan School. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the study reveal that 1) the application of Information and Communication Technology at Dunia Harapan School based on 3 ICT components, namely the first hardware used, hardware that complies with ICT readiness standards in schools. Second, there are several applications used after the pandemic which are used to date in the new normal era, namely the Talenta application, Ed Connect, Google Classroom, and Zoom. Finally, the user, in this case the school operator, has one operator; 2) the management of Information and Communication Technology at Dunia Harapan, namely the first, planning is conducted based on the school's vision and mission and application selection strategies according to school needs. Furthermore, the organizers where the school does not have its own structure related to ICT/ management so that some of the applications used are handled by one operator, and finally supervision is conducted by the principal and evaluation is conducted at regular school meetings; 3) the supporting factors for the management of Information and Communication Technology at Dunia Harapan School are the hardware and software possessed are adequate and appropriate, and the level of understanding of utilizing ICT applications or devices by school members, while the inhibiting factor is an unstable network

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of financial resources and educational facilities at SD IT Darul Abror, identify factors that hinder the optimization of resource management in schools, and examine efforts made to overcome these obstacles. This research employs a qualitative method using a literature study approach. The data were obtained from various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and academic documents related to educational financial management and school facilities management. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies and literature analysis, while the data analysis technique used content analysis to examine various concepts, theories, and findings from previous studies. The results of the study indicate that transparency in school financial management is an important principle in improving accountability and building trust among stakeholders. However, transparency alone is not sufficient to ensure the optimal management of educational resources without being supported by an effective and efficient management system. Effective management of educational facilities includes planning, procurement, inventory, utilization, maintenance, and supervision carried out continuously. Furthermore, several factors hinder the optimization of resource management in schools, including limited financial resources, lack of managerial competence among school administrators, weak monitoring and evaluation systems, and limited stakeholder participation in school management. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed to improve budget planning, strengthen human resource competence, implement effective supervision and evaluation systems, and enhance stakeholder participation in school management. These efforts are expected to support the optimization of financial and facilities management in schools in a more effective and sustainable manner.
