Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Inquiry Based Learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 40 students, including 20 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Data were collected through a mathematical reasoning ability test and an inquiry questionnaire. The instrument testing results showed a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.979, indicating very high reliability, and all questionnaire items were declared valid because the Corrected Item-Total Correlation values were greater than 0.30. Descriptive statistical results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 94.85, higher than that of the control class at 91.45. However, the independent sample t-test result showed a significance value of 0.229 > 0.05, indicating that there was no statistically significant difference between the two classes. Nevertheless, the Inquiry Based Learning model demonstrated a positive tendency in improving students’ mathematical reasoning abilities and encouraging active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the listening skills of seventh grade students of MTsN 1 Jeneponto before and after using interactive YouTube learning videos and to determine the differences in the results of students' listening skills. This study is an experimental study with a quantitative approach using a One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The research sample consisted of 30 students selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through listening skills tests at the pre-test and post-test stages, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test hypothesis test with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that before using interactive YouTube learning videos, students' listening skills were in the low category with an average pre-test score of 47.83. After implementing the media, the average post-test score increased to 56.33. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed an Asymp. Sig. value. (2-tailed) of 0.034 < 0.05, so H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted, which means there is a significant difference between students' listening skills before and after using YouTube interactive learning videos.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the steps in implementing a reading habit program in the reading corner, determine the satisfaction of fifth-grade students after the program's implementation, and determine the impacts and challenges in its implementation at Gegeg Public Elementary School, Sukabumi City. The method used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation collection. The research subjects included the principal, fifth-grade teachers, students, and parents. The results obtained from the study indicate that the reading habit program was implemented systematically by providing 15 minutes of reading time before the start of learning by utilizing the reading corner in the classroom. This program has a positive impact on improving students' reading abilities. Of the seven students who initially experienced difficulty in reading, five of them showed significant progress and can now read more fluently, while the other two students still face difficulties but show progress. In addition, this program also received positive responses from students, teachers, and parents because it was able to build reading habits and broaden students' horizons. However, the program's implementation faced challenges, including the limited number and variety of books available in the reading corners. Despite these challenges, the reading corner program has proven effective in improving the reading skills of fifth-grade students at Begeg Elementary School in Sukabumi City.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the formulation of the problem is whether the application of the SAVI learning model (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) assisted by Wordwall media can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of science on the material of changes in the state of matter in grade IV SDN 6 Tilongkabila. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the SAVI learning model assisted by Wordwall media. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of two meetings with four stages: planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 18 students consisting of 8 male students and 10 female students. The results of the study showed that in cycle I of 18 students only 4 students achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP ≥ 80) with a percentage of 22.2%, while 14 students or 77.78% had not achieved completeness. After improvements were made to the learning process in Cycle II, student learning outcomes significantly improved, with 17 students (94.44%) achieving mastery, while 1 student (5.56%) had not. Therefore, it can be concluded that the SAVI learning model, supported by Wordwall media, can improve student learning outcomes in the fourth-grade science subject of changes in state of matter at SDN 6 Tilongkabila.

Abstract

Quality education forms the primary foundation for shaping a competent and competitive generation. Teachers, as the spearhead of the learning process, play a strategic role in creating a learning environment that is effective, engaging, and responsive to contemporary needs. This study aims to analyze the impact of enhancing teacher professionalism on teaching methods and its implications for achieving quality education. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that continuous professional development, competency enhancement, and reflective learning practices significantly contribute to teaching innovation, improved teacher-student interaction, and more optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade students through the use of Educaplay learning media. The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, as indicated by many students who had not achieved the minimum mastery criteria. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 11 sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning outcome tests and observations. The results showed that the use of Educaplay learning media was able to improve students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score of students was 41.82 with a mastery level of 27.27%. In cycle I, the average score increased to 74.55 with a mastery level of 54.55%. In cycle II, the average score reached 85.82 with a mastery level of 81.82%. These results indicate that Educaplay learning media is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in managing time between academic learning activities and dormitory activities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Time management is an essential skill for students in boarding school systems because they are required to balance structured academic and non-academic activities. However, not all students have adequate time management skills, which may affect their learning readiness and academic performance. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving fifth-grade students, homeroom teachers, and dormitory supervisors. The results showed that students experienced several difficulties, including limited ability to divide time effectively, difficulty determining activity priorities, physical fatigue due to dense daily schedules, and limited use of free time for independent learning. These difficulties were influenced by internal factors such as learning motivation and self-regulation ability, as well as external factors such as structured dormitory schedules and environmental demands. Students attempted to overcome these challenges by setting priorities, utilizing spare time for studying, and seeking guidance from dormitory supervisors. The study concludes that time management skills play an important role in supporting students’ academic readiness and character development in boarding school environments. Therefore, strengthening time management guidance through structured mentoring and character education programs is necessary to support students’ academic and personal development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the numeracy skills of Phase F students in the respiratory system unit at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a Posttest-Only Control Group design. The study population consisted of all 180 students in Grade 11 Phase F. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling, specifically Class XI F2 as the experimental class and Class XI F5 as the control class, each consisting of 36 students. The experimental class received instruction using the Problem Based Learning model, while the control class received the standard instruction typically taught by the teacher on the respiratory system topic. The research instrument consisted of a numeracy skills test comprising 30 multiple-choice questions that had been validated. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples T-Test hypothesis test with the assistance of SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the study showed that the average numeracy ability of the experimental class was 86.48%, while that of the control class was 78.24%. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ numeracy skills.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the effect of classroom management on the learning discipline of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar Narumonda in the 2025/2026 academic year. The method used in this research is an inferential quantitative method. The population of this study consisted of all eleventh-grade students totaling 279 students, while the research sample consisted of 70 students selected using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, consisting of 36 items for the classroom management variable and 36 items for the learning discipline variable. The results of the data analysis show that the data are normally distributed with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.200 > 0.05 and have a linear relationship with a deviation of linearity value of 0.065 > 0.05. The correlation test results obtained rxy = 0.676 > rtable = 0.235, indicating a positive relationship between classroom management and students’ learning discipline. The significance test shows that tcount = 7.557 > ttable = 1.995. The regression equation obtained is Ŷ = 53.556 + 0.594X with a coefficient of determination of 45.6%. The F-test results show Fcount = 57.101 > Ftable = 4.00. Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that classroom management has a positive and significant effect on the learning discipline of students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar Narumonda in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the declining interest of students in traditional sports due to the dominance of modern games and the development of digital technology. This situation has the potential to reduce students' physical activity and weaken their understanding of local cultural values. Traditional sports, however, have educational, social, and cultural values ​​that are crucial for character development in students. Therefore, integrating traditional sporting events into Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) lessons is seen as a strategic effort to preserve culture while increasing the attractiveness of culture-based tourism in the school environment.This study aims to analyze the process of integrating traditional sporting events into PJOK lessons and examine its impact on cultural preservation and the potential for local tourism development. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive interpretive design. The research subjects consisted of PJOK teachers, the principal, and students at SDN 98 in Dendang District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that integrating traditional sports events into physical education (PJOK) learning can increase student participation in physical activity, foster awareness and pride in local culture, and have the potential to serve as a cultural promotional medium that supports the development of tourism attractions based on local wisdom.
