Abstract

This study aimed to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade students through the use of Educaplay learning media. The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, as indicated by many students who had not achieved the minimum mastery criteria. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 11 sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning outcome tests and observations. The results showed that the use of Educaplay learning media was able to improve students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score of students was 41.82 with a mastery level of 27.27%. In cycle I, the average score increased to 74.55 with a mastery level of 54.55%. In cycle II, the average score reached 85.82 with a mastery level of 81.82%. These results indicate that Educaplay learning media is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in managing time between academic learning activities and dormitory activities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Time management is an essential skill for students in boarding school systems because they are required to balance structured academic and non-academic activities. However, not all students have adequate time management skills, which may affect their learning readiness and academic performance. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving fifth-grade students, homeroom teachers, and dormitory supervisors. The results showed that students experienced several difficulties, including limited ability to divide time effectively, difficulty determining activity priorities, physical fatigue due to dense daily schedules, and limited use of free time for independent learning. These difficulties were influenced by internal factors such as learning motivation and self-regulation ability, as well as external factors such as structured dormitory schedules and environmental demands. Students attempted to overcome these challenges by setting priorities, utilizing spare time for studying, and seeking guidance from dormitory supervisors. The study concludes that time management skills play an important role in supporting students’ academic readiness and character development in boarding school environments. Therefore, strengthening time management guidance through structured mentoring and character education programs is necessary to support students’ academic and personal development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the numeracy skills of Phase F students in the respiratory system unit at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a Posttest-Only Control Group design. The study population consisted of all 180 students in Grade 11 Phase F. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling, specifically Class XI F2 as the experimental class and Class XI F5 as the control class, each consisting of 36 students. The experimental class received instruction using the Problem Based Learning model, while the control class received the standard instruction typically taught by the teacher on the respiratory system topic. The research instrument consisted of a numeracy skills test comprising 30 multiple-choice questions that had been validated. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples T-Test hypothesis test with the assistance of SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the study showed that the average numeracy ability of the experimental class was 86.48%, while that of the control class was 78.24%. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ numeracy skills.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the effect of classroom management on the learning discipline of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar Narumonda in the 2025/2026 academic year. The method used in this research is an inferential quantitative method. The population of this study consisted of all eleventh-grade students totaling 279 students, while the research sample consisted of 70 students selected using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, consisting of 36 items for the classroom management variable and 36 items for the learning discipline variable. The results of the data analysis show that the data are normally distributed with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.200 > 0.05 and have a linear relationship with a deviation of linearity value of 0.065 > 0.05. The correlation test results obtained rxy = 0.676 > rtable = 0.235, indicating a positive relationship between classroom management and students’ learning discipline. The significance test shows that tcount = 7.557 > ttable = 1.995. The regression equation obtained is Ŷ = 53.556 + 0.594X with a coefficient of determination of 45.6%. The F-test results show Fcount = 57.101 > Ftable = 4.00. Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that classroom management has a positive and significant effect on the learning discipline of students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar Narumonda in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the declining interest of students in traditional sports due to the dominance of modern games and the development of digital technology. This situation has the potential to reduce students' physical activity and weaken their understanding of local cultural values. Traditional sports, however, have educational, social, and cultural values ​​that are crucial for character development in students. Therefore, integrating traditional sporting events into Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) lessons is seen as a strategic effort to preserve culture while increasing the attractiveness of culture-based tourism in the school environment.This study aims to analyze the process of integrating traditional sporting events into PJOK lessons and examine its impact on cultural preservation and the potential for local tourism development. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive interpretive design. The research subjects consisted of PJOK teachers, the principal, and students at SDN 98 in Dendang District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that integrating traditional sports events into physical education (PJOK) learning can increase student participation in physical activity, foster awareness and pride in local culture, and have the potential to serve as a cultural promotional medium that supports the development of tourism attractions based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the manpower approach in school program planning as a strategy to strengthen governance at SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. The main issues addresses is the misalignment between teacher distribution, competency suitability, and vocational program development, which affects school governance effectiveness. The study aims to analyze how the manpower approach is applied in planning teacher needs and how it contributes to strategic school management. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis of school planning documents, and direct observation of planning processes. The findings reveal that the manpower approach improves proportional teacher workload distribution, competency alignment with vocational expertise programs, resource efficiency, and accountability in school govermance. However, challenges remain in terms of competency mismatch and limited synchronization with regional education policies. The study concludes that integrating manpower-based planning into strategic educational management enchaces data-driven decision- making into strengthens governance practces in vocational schools.

Abstract

The phenomenon of gender equality in access to employment is an important concern in economic development that has an impact on society, especially students in the city of Semarang. This study focuses on the issue of gender equality in employment access by assessing whether the opportunities for entry, participation, and job protection for men and women have been equal when viewed from the provisions in the framework of national labor regulations, especially the Job Creation Law, and how it is implemented at the Semarang City level. The focus of the analysis is directed at the compatibility between the legal norms that govern the principles of non-discrimination, employment opportunities, and flexibility of employment relations with the empirical reality in Semarang City. This study aims to analyze the level of gender equality in Semarang City in access to employment by looking at the implementation of the Job Creation Law as the basis for regulations that regulate employment. This research uses a qualitative sociological juridical approach by examining the applicable legal provisions and examining their application in people's lives. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of the people of Semarang City, including workers and students. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the principle of gender equality in employment access in Semarang City has not been optimal.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between exercise habits and body posture of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 87 Jambi City. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The population consisted of all sixth-grade students totaling 40 participants, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, in which the entire population was selected as the research sample. The research instruments included a questionnaire on exercise habits consisting of 10 items covering the indicators of frequency, duration, intensity, and type of exercise, as well as a body posture observation sheet using the Plumb Line method. The validity test showed that all questionnaire items were valid with r-count values greater than r-table (0.312), while the reliability test obtained a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.664 indicating that the instrument was reliable. The descriptive analysis results showed that students’ exercise habits were mostly in the moderate category with 25 students (62%) and in the high category with 15 students (37%). Meanwhile, the results of the body posture observation indicated that 22 students (55%) had normal posture and 18 students (45%) had mild postural deviations. The normality test using Shapiro–Wilk showed that the data were not normally distributed (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05); therefore, the analysis was continued using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The correlation test result showed a significance value of 0.019 (<0.05) with a correlation coefficient of -0.368, which falls into the low correlation category with a negative direction. This indicates that there is a significant relationship between exercise habits and students' body posture. The better the students’ exercise habits, the better their body posture condition.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of interpersonal communication between management, coaches, and football athletes in Bandar Lampung City in enhancing achievement motivation in football. Using a qualitative narrative approach, the study aims to understand how five key attitudes openness, empathy, supportiveness, positivity, and equality contribute to communication effectiveness and their impact on team performance. Through purposive sampling, data were collected using semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, which were then analyzed to identify communication patterns influencing athletes’ motivation and performance.The results indicate that openness in communication helps create an environment characterized by mutual respect and honesty, while empathy strengthens emotional relationships within the team. Support provided by management and coaches significantly assists athletes in overcoming challenges, while positivity and equality establish a foundation for productive and harmonious communication. Through effective interpersonal communication, management, coaches, and athletes are able to build a cohesive team, maintain focus on shared goals, and maximize their potential to achieve optimal performance. These findings underscore the importance of interpersonal communication in sports development, particularly in enhancing motivation and team achievement in football in Bandar Lampung City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by instructional video media on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of Earth’s rotation and revolution among sixth-grade students at MIN 1 Nganjuk. The study was motivated by low student learning outcomes caused by the dominant use of conventional learning models that do not optimally promote student engagement and critical thinking skills. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of an experimental class that applied the PBL model assisted by instructional videos and a control class that used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using parametric statistical tests to determine differences in learning outcomes. The results showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by instructional video media had a significant effect on improving students’ learning outcomes. The experimental class demonstrated higher learning gains compared to the control class. Therefore, the PBL model assisted by instructional video media is effective and recommended for improving learning outcomes in elementary school science and social studies learning.
