Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of drawing with stick and ink on the hand-eye coordination skills of children in Group B at RA Asyifa 3 Banuayu. The method used was quantitative with a one-shot case study design, and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 15 children. Data collection used a performance test sheet to measure children's hand-eye coordination skills after treatment. Data analysis was performed using SPSS through normality tests and t-tests. The results showed that thcalculated t value was 2.10 and the table t value was 1.761, so the calculated t value ≥ tvalue (2.10 ≥ 1.761), meaning Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, there was a significant effect of drawing with stick and ink on the hand-eye coordination skills of children in Group B at RA Asyifa 3 Banuayu. In conclusion, drawing with stick and ink significantly impacts children's hand-eye coordination skills.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effectiveness of digital-based learning media in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes based on a review of literature published from 2020 to 2025. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) with the PRISMA approach. The selection process was conducted on 87 initial articles from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Portal Garuda databases, resulting in 25 final articles that met the inclusion criteria. The analysis results show that digital media such as Quizizz, Wordwall, Canva, and YouTube Education are effective in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes with an average increase of 15%–32%. The highest effectiveness was found in the use of Wordwall for fraction material in grade IV with a blended learning model. Game-based media (Quizizz, Wordwall) were superior for procedural-computational material, while visual media (Canva, YouTube) were more effective for geometry concept learning. Three main recurring obstacles were limited student devices, heterogeneity of teachers' digital competence, and internet instability. This study concludes that the effectiveness of digital media is highly dependent on learning design suitability, material characteristics, and the teacher's facilitation role.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the still-limited conceptual understanding among researchers, particularly in the field of elementary education, regarding the proper selection of research subjects, populations, and samples, which compromises the validity and accuracy of research findings. The purpose of this study is to conduct a conceptual review of the selection of research subjects, populations, and samples in elementary education research. The method used is a literature review by examining various relevant sources, such as books and previous research findings. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to produce wellorganized and accountable conclusions. The research findings indicate that the research subject, population, and sample are fundamental, interrelated components in the research process. The research subject serves as the primary data source; the population consists of all units of analysis sharing specific characteristics; while the sample is a representative portion of the population. Errors in determining these three components can introduce research bias and reduce the validity of research results. Thus, a strong grasp of these concepts and careful selection of the research subject, population, and sample are essential to produce research that is valid, reliable, and scientifically accountable, particularly in basic education research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) in Group B at Lutfiah Islamic Kindergarten in Ogan Ilir. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) has been carried out through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. During the planning stage, the school coordinated with the food provider (SPPG) and parents, and prepared supporting facilities such as dining areas, handwashing stations, and trash bins. During the implementation phase, group meals were conducted in a structured manner with teacher supervision and the promotion of clean living habits, such as handwashing before and after meals. However, it was found that children’s acceptance of the food varied; while some children enthusiastically consumed the MBG meals, others preferred packed lunches from home due to food preference factors. In addition, parents’ responses to this program have generally been positive because it helps meet children’s nutritional needs, although there are some challenges, such as ensuring the menu aligns with children’s tastes. Thus, the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) has been quite successful, but it remains influenced by factors such as children’s preferences and parental support.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ narrative writing skills through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by serial picture media in Grade III of SDN 16 Pagambiran. The background of this research is the low ability of students in writing narrative texts, especially in organizing ideas, structuring stories, and using proper spelling and punctuation. This study utilized a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design that integrated qualitative and quantitative methods, implemented in two cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 28 third-grade students. The results demonstrated a significant enhancement in students’ writing skills. In Cycle I, students’ average score increased but had not yet reached the success indicator. In Cycle II, the improvement became more significant, with the average score reaching a good category. Students were able to develop story content, structure narrative texts properly, and improve language use as well as spelling and punctuation. In addition, students’ learning activities and attitudes also improved significantly. Therefore, the CTL approach assisted by serial picture media is effective in enhancing students’ narrative writing skills.

Abstract

Technological developments in the Society 5.0 era have had complex effects on students’ morality, one of which is the emergence of a moral crisis in the school environment. This study aims to describe the management of spiritual guidance at Nurani Private High School as an effort to address the moral crisis among students in this era. The method used is qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that spiritual guidance at this school is implemented systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation, focusing on strengthening students’ religious values and character. Although there are challenges in the form of the negative influence of digital technology, spiritual guidance has proven effective in fostering discipline, responsibility, and ethical communication among students. However, improvements are needed in program evaluation and parental involvement to optimize these efforts. This study underscores the importance of adaptive and sustainable spiritual guidance management in shaping students’ character so they can behave morally in the digital age

Abstract

Field Introduction Program (PLP) at Hang Islamic School Batam. The method used is descriptive qualitative through direct observation and participation in school activities. The results show that the school environment is clean, conducive, and supports the learning process. Learning activities such as tahfidz and basic literacy (reading, writing, arithmetic) are implemented effectively using repetition and gradual approaches according to children's development. In addition, administrative activities provide practical experience for students in managing school data. Overall, the PLP program provides meaningful learning experiences in understanding real educational practices in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ written communication skills, the implementation of learning activities, and students’ responses after the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on environmental pollution material. This research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 34 students of class VII-H at SMPN 43 Surabaya. The research instruments included a written communication skills test sheet, a learning implementation observation sheet, and a student response questionnaire. Data were collected through pretest, posttest, observation, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the improvement in students’ written communication skills based on the N-Gain score was categorized as moderate (56%) and high (44%). The implementation of learning activities in each meeting was categorized as very good. Students’ responses to the implementation of the Project Based Learning model showed a high percentage and were categorized as very good. In conclusion, the implementation of the Project Based Learning model on environmental pollution material can improve students written communication skills.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among elementary school students, as well as the suboptimal use of innovative learning media in the teaching process. Therefore, there is a need for instructional media that can enhance student engagement and understanding. This research aims to determine the effect of using Quartet Cards as a learning medium on the IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 29 students. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test. Data were collected through pretest and posttest and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The average pretest score of 61.10% increased to 83.45% in the posttest. Hypothesis testing revealed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that the use of Quartet Cards has a significant effect on students’ IPAS learning outcomes. This study implies that game-based learning media such as Quartet Cards can effectively enhance student participation, motivation, and learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital learning media on students’ learning interest in Economics at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru, the magnitude of the effect, and the obstacles encountered in its implementation. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research subjects were eleventh-grade social science students at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument was a learning interest questionnaire. Data analysis techniques included classical assumption tests and the Independent Samples t-Test.The results indicate that the use of digital learning media has a significant effect on students’ learning interest, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Digital learning media also show a considerable effect in increasing the learning interest of eleventh-grade social science students. The obstacles identified in the implementation of digital learning media include limited access to devices and internet connectivity, teachers’ readiness and competence, and time management in the learning process. Therefore, digital learning media can be used as an effective alternative to enhance students’ learning interest in Economics
