Abstract

Political dynasties are not a new phenomenon, but an old phenomenon that continues to grow from year to year in Indonesia's democratic government system to date. one of the causes of Indonesia's political dynasties is that political reform moves very fast like a meteor but on the contrary, legal reform is very slow like a snail. This research aims to explore the roots of political dynasties in the perspective of the democratic system, especially in the state and can contribute as a basis for thought and strategy in preventing political dynasties, especially in democracies that experience election dynamics. This research uses socio-legal research methods. The results of this study found that the phenomenon of political dynasties has grown rapidly in Indonesia's political system, but political dynasties cannot be prohibited because it is the constitutional right of everyone, but political dynasties can be inhibited and prevented by conducting legal reform and political reform in balance. In addition to reforming, the use of Pancasila ideology also increases awareness and nationalism, especially in responding to the problems of political dynasties that occur in society.

Abstract

Political activities such as general election campaigns in Indonesia have been elaborated on a digital basis. Digital election campaigns place the public as sources or intermediaries, in contrast to campaigns before the digital era which only placed the public as consumers or recipients. Through social media, people are free to support the candidates they want to elect. On the one hand, digital election campaigns are often used as a tool to bring down political opponents in unhealthy ways because, through social media, people are easily propagated so digital election campaigns have the potential to be filled with hoaxes, hate speech, and black campaigns. This research aims to look for strategic steps that can be taken by the government and society so that the digital campaign ahead of the 2024 elections in Indonesia is not filled with hoaxes, hate speech, and black campaigns. This research is qualitative research in the nature of a literature study to collect information relevant to the topic of discussion. The data sources used come from reference books and scientific articles. Before finding strategic steps to counteract the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the election, researchers first look for and analyze the factors that underlie the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the election. The research results show that four factors underlie the emergence of negative potential for digital campaigns ahead of the election, including ambition for power, political polarization, societal and cultural factors, and digital literacy factors. These factors were analyzed, resulting in four strategic steps that could be taken to counteract the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the elections in Indonesia in 2024. First, public education. second, increasing digital literacy. third, supervision and law enforcement. fourth, cooperation between institutions.

Abstract

Indonesia has a forest area of around 94.1 million hectares which consists of various spatial functions including those used as Production Forests. Production forests which are currently used are around 63 million ha of Indonesia's forest area which is divided into permanent production forest areas, limited production forests. , and convertible production forests (HPK). In accordance with the policies contained in the Agrarian Reform Object Land (TORA) program issued by the central government, HPK is one of the targets used for area release. The current phenomenon that is occurring is that TORA does not accommodate land issues that previously had property rights issued by the National Land Agency which then turned into Convertible Production Forests. So far, what has arisen regarding land issues is the land mafia, but in this phenomenon the community is harmed again by changes in areas where the land with property rights status cannot be cultivated and bought and sold. This research will be carried out in Riau province with the National Land Agency and the Riau Provincial Forest Service as objects. The aim of this research is to resolve disputes over land issues, not only TORA, but also people who previously had land rights issued by BPN, changing their status to HPK. The method and type of this research is Qualitative Descriptive. The technique for attracting informants uses a proportional sampling technique and data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation, literature study and documentation.

Abstract

The level of public trust in the political elite is decreasing day by day, so that only a few politicians are able to maintain their image in society, the Regent of Pelalawan H Zukri being one of them. H Zukri's success in the 2009, 2014 and 2019 legislative elections, and continued with his victory in the 2020 Pelalawan Regional Election is an indicator that H Zukri is a figure who truly protects society, including the poor. This of course cannot be separated from H Zukri's personal branding, as a politician who is able to be a beacon of hope for poor people. This research uses a qualitative approach using the concept of personal branding by Montoya & Vandehey. Before becoming a politician, H Zukri was known as a humanist and often paid attention to the poor, and he gave this attention consistently according to his authority, whether direct or policy. It is hoped that this research will provide inspiration and benefits for politicians who want to shape their image and also the results of this research can help H Zukri to evaluate the process of forming his image.

Abstract

Penyengat Island is a developing tourist destination in Indonesia, known for its rich historical and cultural heritage. In order to further boost tourism on the island, an Information and Technology-Based Tourism Development Policy has been implemented. This policy aims to leverage the power of technology to enhance the visitor experience, promote sustainable tourism practices, and increase tourism revenue. In this study, we utilized a qualitative research method grounded in Edward III’s grounded theory approach to understand the impact of the Information and Technology-Based Tourism Development Policy on Penyengat Island. Data was collected through interviews with key stakeholders involved in implementing the policy, including government officials, local businesses, and tourists. The results of our study show that the implementation of the Information and Technology-Based Tourism Development Policy has had a positive impact on Penyengat Island. The use of technology, such as online booking systems and virtual tours, has made it easier for tourists to plan their trips and explore the island’s attractions. Additionally, the policy has helped to raise awareness of the island’s cultural heritage and promote sustainable tourism practices, such as waste management and conservation efforts. In conclusion, the Information and Technology-Based Tourism Development Policy has been successful in driving tourism development on Penyengat Island. Moving forward, continued investment in technology and sustainable tourism practices will be key to further enhancing the visitor experience and maximizing the economic benefits of tourism for the local community.
